The Grumpy Shepherd

Rate this book
Joram is a shepherd in a field outside Bethlehem who is notoriously grumpy. When the angel comes and announces Jesus' birth, he is skeptical, but when he follows the other shepherds to the stable and sees the baby Jesus, his grumpy attitude changes to one of praise. For ages 7 to 10.

An imaginative story, exploring the idea, what if one of the shepherds in the fields, the night Jesus was born, was a grumpy guy. Pretty cute.
I would recommend discussing what is imagined and what is in scripture with the children to whom you read this story.

Cute book, a humorous retelling of the Christmas story. One of the shepherds is grumpy all the time, until he sees the baby Jesus.
