I didn't know I was a dad...
As a Navy SEAL, I do the sh*t no one else can handle, and I'm good at it.

But I keep thinking of the one that got away. The one I let get away. A scorching hot one-night-stand, and suddenly Rebecca is in my blood. When my best friend dies in the line of duty, I realize I gotta get out if I want any hope of having a family. If I want to have a future.

So I find her. I need her to give me a second chance. When she tells me our tryst started a family for us, though? I can hardly believe my good luck.

I never expected the war to follow me home. I never expected to have to be this man again. Rebecca and our daughter shouldn’t have to see this side of me. But I can’t be just a daddy, or just a lover any more.

To protect the ones I love I need to be a cold-hearted killer, and make everyone threatening my family pay in blood.

"I want the world to know you're mine."

This was a pleasant read overall. For the most part, I found the plot enthralling, not quite original yet riveting more than expected. The characters were likeable, the sex was great, and the fight scenes were exciting and imaginative.

However, I must admit, the whole first half of the book wasn’t as mind-blowing as I expected. There was not much happening in this half and I only partially enjoyed it. I felt like it was light on substance but heavy on Rebecca's internal monologue. To be honest, it took me so much effort to get through some of her eye-rolling thoughts. Nevertheless, I can genuinely say that the author did a great job with erotic sex scenes. They were all scorching hot!

But in the second half, it was totally different from the feelings I had while reading the previous half. As I read further into the story, I found that things got much more intense with . I'm so glad I didn't give up halfway through the book because seriously, the rest of it was exceptionally amazing! It was like watching an action movie. Adrian went all Rambo and became a one man army. Wow, what a man!

I liked both Adrian and Rebecca. Adrian was just…wow! His protectiveness won me over. Rebecca was strong, reasonable, and incredibly smart. I liked that she didn't act like some other stupid heroines who never listen to what the heroes tell them to do when they are in deadly situations. Hell yes, Rebecca was cleverer than those women! She trusted Adrian to protect her, and she never put herself in more danger than they were already in, so he could fully concentrate on the big task at hand. Rebecca is my ideal heroine, if you ask me.

This was an erotic romance story with some elements of suspense and plenty of heart-pounding moments that had me on the edge of my seat and kept me turning pages like crazy. I have to say that the last 50% of the book really made up for some dull parts in the first half.

If you're looking for an enjoyable erotic suspense read, no need to look any further, this book is for you! It was a standalone with wonderful HEA that you won't be able to stop smiling when you finish it.

Talk about action packed! This was a romantic suspense story that really kept you turning the page.

Adrian was an awesome hero. Honestly, there isn't anything bad to say about him. He was a brave, strong Navy SEAL. After meeting Rebecca two years prior, he couldn't keep their one passionate night out of his head. After leaving service, he was finally able to track her down back home in Canada. When danger came calling, I liked that he didn't push her away to keep her out of harms way, he stuck by her, keeping her safe.

Rebecca was a little harder to love at first. In fact, for a few pages, I wanted to just punch her in the boob. Nothing makes me madder in a story than a woman who purposely keeps a man from knowing about his child (with the exception of abusers or someone who wants go hurt them). That was initially her intentions. However, it only lasted a night and she came clean, telling Adrian about the daughter they created. The rest of the story, she stood by Adrian and fought along side of him to get out of danger.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama whatsoever -both celibate during separation
-a few steamy sex scenes
-no pushing away
-a few fight scenes -
-just ok ending which was disappointing. I would have liked a further look into their future - where did they settle, how many children did they have. ..etc These details are too important to leave out.

"You're Mine" 4****

Adrian and Rebecca met two years ago in Afghanistan. She was a NATO officer and he was a Navy Seal. After spending one night together, Adrian is sent out on his next mission and they don't see each other again.

Two years later Rebecca is in Canada and receives a call from the man that has never been far from her thoughts and heart, Adrian.

The only thing that got Adrian thru the past two years has been the thought of seeing Rebecca again. This was a sweet, fast-paced, action filled, and sexy read. Rebecca will have to reveal her secrets, and Adrian will have to deal with enemies from his past in order for them to move forward.

***3.5 Stars***

This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed the safety factor of this book. The hero and heroine were celibate during their two years apart after one hot night. Adrian, a SEAL, was determined to find Rebecca, who worked for NATO, when he finished his tour of duty. Here is where I had to suspend belief for a while. They had been in the same location for one week and on the last night before he moved on to his next mission they spent the night together with a condom failure...surely she wasn't the only one to notice!? They fell in love during that week and we know that as soon as he lands back in her vacinity that he calls her and comes to her immediately. So this tells me he had her cell phone number because she was staying at a hotel on business.

If he had fallen in love with her as he said then I had a problem trying to figure out why he went two years thinking of her daily but never got in contact with her. Heck, she could have met someone and married in that amount of time so that didn't make a lot of sense to me. If you're in love with someone surely you have the desire to contact them and keep up on what's going on. Surely you would want to express your feelings and see if she felt the same so you both would wait for each other, but that didn't happen.

There is a lot of suspense during the story and major battles when he discovers someone has followed him home from war to begin a war of their own.

Great HEA!

This was just ridiculous.
It's all telling over showing to the point where I wondered why the author bothered with dialogue at all.
The writing is florid and kinda corny. Over half the story is flashbacks and sex. And not good sex either. It's full of silly stuff like 'a massive cock', 'swollen arms', 'pummeling into her', lots of twitching and jerking. Romantic phrases like, 'I need to feel him use me like the breeder I am'... oh those sweet nothings. (roll my eyes). They are humping literally 5 seconds after they meet again 3 years after they had their brief encounter in Afghanistan.
He has a long PTSD interlude where he completely loses it in a dangerous way, and she decides this proves that he is a safe bet and she should confess that her daughter is his now.
IMHO, there was no real reason why she never told him about the baby.

Rebecca and Adrian spent one passionate night together. Adrian was already back at work the next morning when Rebecca woke up. They never expected to see each other again, but they have never forgotten that night or each other.

A few years later, Adrian is back home and the only thing he wants now is Rebecca. Fortunately Rebecca is nearby and also wants to see him. Sparks fly again when they see each other. It seems like they never were apart. They do get to know each other better and Rebecca has a big secret to tell him.

I loved Adrian, Rebecca and them together. They are perfect for each other and definitely belong together. The attraction is still there after all those years. I loved Adrian’s determination. He’s very protective and he has to be a dead man before he lets something happen to Rebecca. Rebecca’s first priority is her little daughter. Her daughter changed her life, but she doesn’t mind it.

Sights on the Seal was my first book by the author that isn’t about hitmen, but I did enjoy it. The first part was more about Rebecca and Adrian reuniting and getting to know each other a little better, before Adrian’s past came back. The action and suspense was more for the second part of the book. This book is fast paced and hot.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact Adrian only meets his daughter at the very end. The daughter is mentioned in the blurb, so I expected to meet her fast. I would have loved more scenes of Adrian and his little girl. He’s an amazing dad who is extremely protective over his daughter and he immediately accepts her.

Oh wow love this new direction Alexis is going. Military heroes are one of my favorites. They are the ultimate bad boys to me. Not only are their bodies honed to perfection but they are deadly killing machines and will protect what is theirs at all cost.
I liked the direction this book took. It didn't have all the going back and forth and waring with themselves about being worthy or having their heartbroken and not trusting anyone.
There was danger and there was Steam. Which I absolutely love in a book.
I can't wait to see what Alexis comes up with next.
I would highly recommend reading this book.

Adrian and Rebecca met in Afghanistan two years ago and had a one night stand. Adrian is a Navy Seal and Rebecca a NATO Officer. The next mission comes along and Adrian has to leave but he never ever forgets that night with Rebecca. Once Adrian retires though he gets in touch with Rebecca much to her surprise. Suffering from PTSD now Rebecca becomes a life line for Adrian. Little does Adrian know that Rebecca is hiding a huge secret from him. A huge secret actually. Now with them both in danger Adrian is not going to let anything happen to Rebecca.

I loved this story. It is a quick read that kept me on my toes. I loved Adrian and Rebecca both. Rebecca is no shrinking violet and I loved that about her. Adrian though is so protective of her and I thought it was nice to have a guy so determined to protect his woman at all cost. You so need to read this book. I promise you will love it. There is not one thing that I didn't love about this story.

Alexis Abbott writes some amazing stories. If this is your first time reading a book of her's you will want to check out her other ones. I absolutely love her Hitman Sweries too.

Dibs on Adrian....calling it right now. Nothings hotter than a thoughtful alpha that can't get enough of his woman, the fact that he's a navy seal is just a big ass bonus. Throw in the fact the he's excited about being a baby daddy *dreamy eyes*. So yeah, calling dibs.

Rebecca and Adrian have one hot night in Afghanistan together before Adrian is relocated the next morning. Fast forward two years, Adrian is out and hunting down his woman. Yeah, still dibs. These two have amazing chemistry and are so in sync with each other. I love that during their time apart they were never with other people *sigh*.

I love that Alexis Abbott kept with her Russian mafia theme in this book too. Adrian had made a nasty enemy and by nasty, I mean he had the Russian mafia after him *shake my head*....not good. I liked that he and Rebecca were on the run for a bit and he was getting to kick ass to save his girl.

This book was a bit different than her hitman series, but I still really enjoyed it. Still calling dibs reading peeps.

This is a fantastic 4.5 star story of second chances.
This book had me hooked from the beginning and I couldn't put it down.
It's that good I read it in one morning.
I absolutely love Alexis Abbott books and I really enjoyed reading her hitman series but I'm glad she went for a different angle with this one as I absolutely adore Adrian O'Connor.
The electrifying chemistry coming off Adrian and Rebecca was fantastic and it made you really connect with their story.
They had a love like no other and was fated to be together.
This book is fast paced and extremely entertaining.
I loved all the action packed moments that blended really well with the sweet softer sides of the book.
To sum it all up I just loved this book.

Rebecca and Adrian's story isn't original when it comes to the romance genre but their story is unique. If you're looking for a romance novel with true chemistry, I recommend this book. For a full review, visit my website at http://www.bubblesbookreviews.com/sig...

This was not a bad story overall. The romance was little rushed for my liking. The plot and the action scenes were really good. Both Becca and Adrian were sweet and likable. Adrian was total bad ass with all his combat skills. I think what would have made this story stand out if it had started in the beginning when Becca and Adrian first meet, then into the next two years when they apart and the events that take place while apart and build up the momentum to their next meeting 2 years later. This was not a bad read, just a little rushed for my liking. I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

This was a great read. I nearly stopped reading when Rebecca wasn't telling Adrian about Maya being his, but i am so glad i kept going.
Adrian was so good to Becca, you could really feel the love, and he would protect her till the end.
Took awhile to get into this story but a great read nonetheless.

Sweet & sexy military story, March 24, 2017

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Sights On The Seal Alexis Abbott and voluntarily reviewed this book. Rebecca Summers, while away on private security contracting business, receives a phone call from someone she didn't expect, but he has never been far from her thoughts, especially when she looks into her daughter's eyes, which happen to be the exact same green as her father's. Adrian O'Connor, now a finely honed, Navy SEAL killing machine, meets her at her hotel, and they come together as explosively as they had that one time when they served in the desert together two years ago. But when an innocent event triggers an episode of PTSD, how will Rebecca view him now as a potential partner, especially when Adrian suspects his war-made enemy has followed him home?

Great read with good sexual chemistry between characters. Flashbacks of his time spent in war filled in some of the time spent apart, with good combat descriptions in the sandbox, not to mention good fight scenes on more familiar turf, to include a likeable ex-pat character to boot!

Book jumped back and forth in time and didnt flow smoothly at all. It was hard to read. It wasn't realistic. I was hoping this book would be about an alpha man and his unstoppable force to keep his girl and baby safe. Instead it was a book of unrealistic fighting and a soldier and his baby mama on the run with bits thrown in about a child that they share but dont talk about really or even see until the end of the book.

Adrian and Becca met two years ago in Afghanistan while stationed there for their jobs. Within the first few pages, you learn that they haven't spoken to one another since, and that the last time they saw each other wasn't long after their intense one-night stand in a tent in the middle of the desert.
From there you get alternating viewpoints between the two, cluing us in on their past as well as how they feel about each other.

Be prepared, because right out of the gate you're bombarded with nonstop declarations of love interspersed with some adequate love scenes. Personally, I found the sex scenes to be corny, especially when from Adrian's perspective. Why? Ahem:

"She’s so w**, so needy for me, and my massive, muscular body is ripe with lust to pour out and lavish all over her."

"My shaft is enormous, and every time..."

"...whimpering and sighing with every lick of my monstrous c**k."

Those are just within the first 15% of the book, but there are plenty of examples thereafter to choose from.
The author is being descriptive in order to enhance the enjoyment of the scenes, and when those thoughts are coming from the partner's perspective, it's great. When you have a first-person POV from the hero and he's constantly referring to himself in this manner, it just makes me roll my eyes.

Becca has a secret (I won't disclose it here to prevent spoilers), one that causes her constant musings of "but if I tell him the truth, this and that and a bag of crap can happen, oh no". She mentally hems and haws about telling him practically every two pages for the first third of the book. The reason she doesn't tell Adrian is because she feels as if she doesn't know him well enough to trust him with this big secret, but I certainly expected her to last a little longer than 24 hours before making her ultimate decision. And within literally minutes of telling him, they are ring shopping.
Insta-lust is understandable, but this is beyond even insta-love. The rate at which this couple progresses reminds me of people that marry in Vegas just after meeting, only to annul their marriage as soon as the alcohol has worn off. I get the super attraction and intense feelings, I even get that they want to start a serious relationship ASAP, but it was too contradictory to Becca's thoughts and hesitations and Adrian was just soooo poetic that it was hard for me to believe.

The book picks up after the first half when Adrian and Becca realize that they are being followed by someone from Adrian's past. The action scenes are entertaining, but a bit far-fetched. I think my favorite thing about the book was when Becca and Adrian took the time to talk and learn more about each other. A lot of the information was expected, but the delivery was enchanting.

It's not overly violent, and the sex scenes are quite descriptive with, IMHO, nothing I consider to be triggers.

I like Alexis Abbot's books. I would love to give this one 5 stars, but I am thinking 3/12 to 4 is more appropriate for this one. The story itself is not bad. The premise of Rebecca and Adrian's story is good. They initially met in Afghanistan where he was stationed in the service and she was part of a NATO group. They fall together and then back apart when he is suddenly transferred. Fast forward a couple of years and Becca is back living in Canada when she gets a call from Adrian.

Don't know how he found her, but Adrian is in Canada and only a few miles from the motel where she is currently staying. They fall back together and confess their deep feelings for each other (eye roll). They are both keeping secrets, but one is essentially a good secret and the other is a get you killed sort of thing.

The thing that kept this from being a 4 or 5 star, in my opinion, is the stuff they would say and/or think about the other when they were having hot sex. My eyes rolled so much it almost gave me a headache. I will not give specific examples. You will either see them for yourselves, or think "I wonder what she is talking about." That aside, the story is fast-moving, and pretty violent at times. Adrian is a one man killing squad. There a few far-fetched battles, but they are interesting battles. The Russian Mafia makes an appearance and there is some stuff that is never explained, but bad guys have to come from somewhere.

It is a predictable HEA ending that leaves us some brothers to appear in sequels. If your eyes don't hurt themselves rolling you will like the story a lot.

I was gifted a copy of this book from the author. My review is voluntary and I always review.

I just loved Rebecca and Adrian O’Connor. They had met back when they were both in Afghanistan. He was a Navy Seal and she was a NATO Officer. That one night of passion had been very memorable.

Rebecca was surprised when Adrian had called her after he had retired from the Navy. In the story he suffered from PTSD. I love the fact that she was able to understand what he was going through. She was like the anchor he needed.

Rebecca was Adrian’s life line. Something he could live for. Yes he had family but he truly desired something more. He wanted a life with her. Farm somewhere raising a family. I am sure this truly took Rebecca by surprise. Who knew one night with a man could of caused such deep feelings.

Rebecca has a huge secret. Who knows how Adrian will take the news when she tells him. Sorry you will need to read the book to find out what the secret is.

The war seems to have followed Adrian home. There is some bad people after him and now that these bad people have seen Rebecca with Adrian her life is in danger now as well. I just love how protective Adrian is of Rebecca. He is so determined not to let anything happen to her. Rebecca is not fragile flower. She has spunk and though out of practice remembers a little of her training as well.

This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

>Book review - Sights on the SEAL

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is a standalone romance with an HEA. Adrian and Becca hooked up once while overseas. Adrian was a Navy SEAL and Becca worked for NATO. Their hookup results in a pregnancy. Adrian is shipped out after their night together and doesn't see Becca again until he retires from service.

>Their feeling seem even stronger after they are reunited. Becca doesn't even waste much time telling him about his daughter. Forces beyond their control try to ruin their happiness, but the fun of the story is all of the action. What is missing from the story is the scene when Adrian meets his daughter for the first time. Seeing the big, strong man crumble at the sight of his tiny daughter would have really rounded out the book.

>I enjoyed the story, but without seeing Adrian and Maya together, the story felt incomplete. I also wondered about Becca's job. She runs security and is actually on a job when Adrian finds her. After they reconnect, nothing much in the way of her career is mentioned. How does she work with customers and care for Maya? A few more chapters and the book could have been complete.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the book 4 stars. The story is exciting, but a few let scenes were missing.

I received this Arc and am giving a voluntary review.
This my first book by this author and I loved it.
Rebecca/Bex is a former NATO worker who met Adrian, a Navy SEAL while they were both in Afghanistan. They had one night of passion that changed both their lives. Fast forward two years and Adrian gets in touch with Sex, the woman he has thought of for the last tow years..
As Bex and Adrian met again their chemistry is still off the charts and they pick up where they left off, however both have secrets they are hiding. When the war comes to their doorstep can they two survive?
The storyline was well written and was a definite page turner. I think I got to know Bex and Adrian well through the past story as well as just the two talking together. Adrian is a tough alpha SEAL but Box can hold her own as well. The reason for the war coming to their front door and how they handled it kept you reading. I was however I little disappointed in how the author ended the threat so easily. I would have loved to know how Adrian negotiated his way out of the situation.
In addition to the storyline there are plenty of hot and steamy scenes to keep you interested as well.

Becca (former NATO) and Adrian (former Navy SEAL) have spent one night together in Afghanistan, two years ago. The story starts with Adrian tracking the unforgettable Becca down, and the sweetest love imaginable ensues. Adrian's final mission clearly has unfinished business, which puts Becca and possibly their family, in danger. I had a hard time connecting to the characters. I found Adrian over the top mushy, ready to jump into marriage & kid(s) without really knowing Becca, who went along with the whole thing! The book is written in an alternating POV, which allows insight into both their pasts. I warmed up to the characters more when they were walking through the woods, sharing themselves with each other. I enjoyed the plot (it was hard not to cheer for the Russians, Alexis has me well trained!), loving the couple scenes with Jones. What a delightful guy! Overall, I enjoyed this book, and you will too if you like sweet romance with a lot of action (both in the bedroom and out!).

A couple of years ago Adrian, a US Seal and Rebecca a NATO work met in Afganistan. They had a hot, passionate night but the Adrian had to leave an a mission. Adrian had some rough times as a Seal but his memory of his night with Rebecca kept him sane. Now he is discharged and his personal mission is to find Rebecca again to get his second chance and start a family. Little does he know that he has already started that family. Their hot steamy night gave Rebecca his baby so she returned home. She is shocked when Adrian shows up at her door. She still has strong feelings for him but she needs to protect her daughter. Adrian talks her into giving him a second chance even though he doesn't know that Rebecca's daughter is his. He is happy to accept any child from Rebecca. Their reunion is hot but then trouble from Adrian's past shows up. Will he be able to protect his family?
