A Christmas Flower is a sweet, genuine and touching Christmas story that tugged at my heartstrings. Although this is a lovely book, evoking a sense of Christmas spirit, it also has a bit more meat and substance to it and includes some quite topical storylines.

Logan Mitchell is returning to his home town in New Hampshire for Christmas. He's been out working west as a smoke jumper, but as the fire season is at an end, he decides to take a break. Back home in River Dale, the local fire station is

A nice christmas book that deals with a good amount of drama, heartbreak and shows a good amount of miracles.

The writing is nice, the characters okay and the overall story itself good.

For me personally it as a bit much.
There is a lot happening in this book.
A woman that lost her parents, her mother just a few months before the book starts, and tries to find her way without them, while also trying to organise the first family christmas without any parents to guide her or her family.

A very touching sweet romance story just in time for the holidays. A fast read that doesn't sugarcoat real life situations but still leaves you feeling warm inside.

I picked this book up thinking it was a light Christmas romance. Well, it was a romance, but there was so much more to it than that, including a Christmas miracle. We had some serious issues introduced in the story dealing with lack of proper funding for hospitals, police and fire services which causes hospital closures and people having to travel further for care as well as serious injuries and death of firefighters using faulty equipment. There was also a subplot about contractors not followin ...more

I picked up this book expecting to have some holiday cheer, expecting it to amp up the festive mood. But alas, it didn't happen. It pains me to say this, but I didn't feel any spark from this book at all.

The overall writing felt either rushed or underdeveloped. It may not make a ton of sense, but while the pacing (of the story) is rather slow, the writing felt kind of slippery and surfacey. The prose is not bad, I think it's decent but didn't possess any suspense, in other words, it didn't stick

A Christmas Flower is the latest holiday offering by author Bryan Mooney. Set in River Dale, New Hampshire and centered around the River Dale General Hospital and RFD 17 fire station, this is a story that explores discovery of self, soul, and spirit.

It is the eleventh hour and Dr. Beth Harding, who took over the reigns from her late mother, Dr. Sarah Harding, is fighting the closing of the hospital. Meeting new regulations will cost about two million dollars the hospital does not have. Beth and

A feel good story set at Christmas time, my favorite time of the year. I've read quite a few of Bryan Mooney's books, and they're all good. Probably my favorite, though, is Potus Papers. But, I digress. This is a good love story set in a small Northeastern town. The main characters are strong willed and attracted to each other. There's just one problem....she's engaged. The secondary characters are interesting as well. It's a quick read and a very enjoyable way to pass some time.

I loved reading this book. An emotional story that grabbed my attention and I didn’t want to put the book down. The story is set during the Christmas season and it has become one of my favorite holiday reads.
Logan comes homes when he finds out his friend was burned while working a fire and he will see his lifelong best friend Beth who he happens to love she just doesn’t know it. Beth is faced with having to close the hospital she runs unless she can come up with 2 million dollars. You get introd

But the story was just as wonderful! I have never read any books by Bryan Mooney but after reading this one I am sure to try more works by this author. This is a book about a hospital that is about to close, because they need two million dollars to be in State compliance. The hospital director and his family went on a vacation, leaving directions on how to go about closing the hospital, and moving the patients to other facilitates. Accidents and illness kept happening, and of course they are admitted to the hospital against these instructions. An old friend comes home to check on his friend, the who is in a coma, and to see old friends. A fire ...more

OMG! I went into shock when I saw this book is 45 chapters. I read to the end and wanted more. Stock up in tissues now! Bryan did it again! Doc Beth has been told to close their Hospital. Logan comes home to see his 'sister'and a friend who is banned from working a fire. This book is one large Spoiler. Beth won't close it yet. A flu is all over. Beth visits a little girl with Cancer and she makes her happy. Beth is worried about her sister. A car flips with a family, looking for their son. A you ...more

I enjoyed this book so much I read it in one sitting.

A beautifully written blossoming love story between two best friends, Dr. Beth Harding and firefighter Logan Mitchel, that also explores the real life issues that first responders and those in healthcare face every day. Set in the idyllic close knit community of River Dale, New Hampshire at Christmastime this is a wonderfully rich story of life's complexities and a Christmas miracle or two that I found myself happily lost in it for hours.

I loved this story. I received a copy through Netgalley for an honest review. The story revolved around Dr Beth and Logan. Logan had been loosely adopted by her family when his parents died. Logan was a smoke jumper and had real feeling for Beth and she for him, but she got engaged to someone else and they didn't say anything to each other. There are quite a few side characters that are important too and have some great side stories. I loved the story about Mayerle and the twist with Mary and Mi ...more

Not really a Christmas story but rather a nice love story between two people who initially don't want to admit they are right for each other. Beth is a determined and devoted physician; Logan is a hard working and strong fire fighter. Both of them are dealing with crisis as the novel opens- Beth with the hospital, Logan with the injury to his old mentor. There are some topical issues here (health care for sure) but the charm of this lies in the people. You know going into it that everything is g ...more

A Christmas Flower. By Bryan Mooney

Your Book was great and we to put up with how to have sex all though the book. It was a read about a small town and the ups and downs of what it takes to run a hospital and a fire department. We thank the warriors of our armed forces for their services,so we be nice to and thank all those who work in hospitals and fire departments and police officers for their services to. This book goes a long way to doing just that. It also has a good LOVE story that I know o

A Christmas in New Hampshire is a little different for firefighter Logan who is home from California. Beth is trying to juggle the holiday festivities with the fact that the hospital in town is going to close. As the local doctor she is fighting but the board seems unwilling to listen. Logan and Beth grew up as close as brother and sister but will a Christmas miracle save them and the hospital? Great sweet story.

Thank you to Bryan Mooney and Goodreads.com I won this book in a Giveaway.

Super cute and sweet story about realizing things before it's too late. The last couple of chapters didn't fit the story and they seemed hurried. Overall I liked the tempo, the message and the actually story was good.
