There are some definite bumps and bruises in Ganga Bharani’s first novel, but I am so happy I grabbed it on an Amazon free day.

I love the cover and it fits the story perfectly!

When I first began I struggled a bit. It reads like an ARC, rough around the edges, but I persevered and am glad I did.

Meera has lost her memory and her future husband, a doctor, is helping her to regain it. She reads her diary, Clara, and learns about her life. For some reason she is dr

Mysteries intrigue me, and I end up playing the sleuth to find out what happened. This book is a mystery, but not one to sleuth. Just You, Me and a Secret is a book where the protagonist Meera is a mystery, not only to me, the reader, but to herself as well. And as she finds out more about herself, so do we. When we first meet Meera, she has woken up in a hospital. She doesn't know who are the people around her, and she doesn't remember anything, not even her own name. She is in the care of Ashr ...more

Love – The universal emotion which binds humanity together. All of us have our own distinct way of showing our love. Some are delightfully expressive. There are times when love helps us to re-visit our past to forge a happy future. Just You Me and a Secret is one such story.

The plot – A protagonist who wakes up not knowing who she is ? A blank past haunts her with only Clara for company. Who is Clara ? Did she have a role in shaping Meera’s forgotten past. you will have to read the b

When Ganga Bharani shared her book, ‘Just You, Me and a secret’ for free on Amazon, I didn’t imagine that it will blow my mind and hooked to the web of entangled suspense spurned by the author. A thriller worth its salt, the book has all the making of a potboiler that keeps you engaged, engrossed to the plot as the sub narrative told in flashback moments makes it a heart pounding affair.

The author uses a simply and relatable language to describe the turmoil in the mind and confusion

Ganga Bharani's 'Just You, Me And A Secret' is definitely a book that will grow on you as you read through it. Right from the acknowledgement, the author has made sure that she shouldn't sound cliched. The book is also filled with poignant phrases throughout.

The story gains momentum towards the middle and the final chapters are filled with plenty of twists, that really work out. The book definitely does not reveal anywhere that it is written by a newcomer. Kudos to the author for tak

I held it in my hands in the evening and it was so engrossing that I couldn't keep it. Finished it in one take.

Just You, Me And A Secret by Ganga Bharani is a well written mystery novella. The writing style is such that it keeps you hooked on to it. Each chapter reveals a little of something and you want to read the next to understand what will be the next scene.

The protagonist wakes up with a complete memory loss at the house of her boy friend, who is also a Doctor. Her diary discloses to her

Having read GB’s interesting tales, crisp reviews and watched creative short movies on her blog, I read her debut book with a lot of expectation and I must say that she did a wonderful job, much better than established writers did. GB opens her debut book with questions like “Who am I?” “This is me?” “How old am I?” and succeeds in making us feel the same. Meera, the female lead character, do not know who she is finds herself in a locked room in a stranger’s house, Ashruth, who claims to be her ...more

Ganga Bharani’s maiden venture- Just You, Me and a secret is what one would typically refer to as a breezy, casual read.

An amnesiac wakes up at a stranger’s house with no prior knowledge of how she got there or who the overtly caring individual who seems to own the place is. What starts off is a tale of romantic intrigue peppered with flashbacks, melodrama, twists & suspense.

Meera, the protagonist, is the person through whom the story is told. However, the backbone of the plot i

Just You, Me and a Secret, is a book that is intriguing from the word go. There are many ingredients that made me finish reading the book in a single sitting. It is a thriller, a romance and it is well written.

When the protagonist Meera wakes up in a hospital room with a memory wiped clean, she struggles to deal with the revelations that comes to her one after the other. Ashruth, the doctor to whom she is engaged tries to make her understand the circumstances of their relationship. S

Glancing at a debut novel from a young urban-Indian author, one might think that it ought to be a college love story set in the typical desi family background. Just you, me and a secret manages to rise above that stereotyping that a contemporary story might receive. Even if it appears to be a common wine, it is presented differently in an engaging manner.

This is the story of Meera, the only daughter of an affluent businessman in Coimbatore, Prabhu. She grows up with her orphaned cousin Santhosh

‘Just you, me and a secret’ starts with the protagonist, Meera suffering from retrograde amnesia. She finds herself in a strange place with a stranger, Ashruth. Ashruth fills in some of her past by telling her that she was in love with him. The present Meera, who doesn’t like Ashruth, finds it hard to believe. Has she changed so much after the accident? Is Ashruth telling the truth? She tries to know about her own past from Claire (her diary). Some of her questions are answered, but the mystery ...more

I am not an avid reader but I have done my own time with Sidney Sheldon and Jeffrey Archer's master pieces. Ganga Bharani's work is for sure not the work of those battle hardened literary veterans but I do have to tell you, I was surprised to find a lot of moments which made me be there at that moment.

Think of it, To walk down the life of a girl who recently lost her memory. It was a question for her and a hard decision to find trust worthiness in anyone including her parents. It was

Debut novelist Ganga Bharani's 'Just You Me And A Secret' is that kind of a book, which you want to finish at one go.

I liked the suspense element, the way the writer has narrated about the past and present scenarios, with utmost care. In the first half I liked the attention to detail about many the way story unfolds.

For sure, a thriller which was unexpected. This is a kind of story which you will never find boring.

I personally felt in the second half, the story was sligh

Just You, Me and a Secret is a fast paced , gripping and an un-put-downable book from the author. No ways would you feel that you are reading a debut author for the characters are well constructed and has everything to keep the reader going. The author has very well shuttled between the past and present life of the character (Meera), and put enough romance between the characters as the story is narrated. If you are someone who loves reading Mystery novels, this is a very good read. I personally ...more

Just you me and secret is a fantastic book to read...just can't believe that
it has penned by a debutante writer Ganga Bharani Vasudevan.

Here is my review-

I am not a book worm, but whatever habit i have of book reading, i can say with conviction that when i read " Just you me and a secret" I didn't realise i am reading a book of a first time author.

It was simple in wordings yet matured with feelings and filled with emotions.

Loved the storyline which has all the ingredients of a good page-turner. The built-up from the time Meera Prabhu wakes up in the hospital bed was riveting and I loved the way it is narrated including the diary named 'Clara'.

The pace was good and never slackened, ending with a good twist. The author has a flair for plotting a good thriller.

The language and execution is something which took me away from complete immersion. This would be more of publisher's and editor's domain, but nee

First a fall let me congratulate you on your debut novel.

It is an extremely well written novel and created many interesting suggestions on the subject.
It is difficult for a reader to believe that this novel is written by a debut author.Excellent work.
The suspense was carried in every page until the end.
Many Congratulations Ganga for the great work .
Looking forward for your second novel. Keep up the good work.

It has an interesting plot (a bit filmy, but that's okay). It keeps you thinking what next. So, basically a nice gripping read.

I just wish, really wish it'd been edited well (requires a lot of work regarding editing). Characters lack depth. It started really well, and then it seemed hurried, as if the author was running out of time (to finish it)

But yes, the book manages to keep the reader hooked!

A book that chills your spine with unrecognizable plots buried in it's magical pages is 'Just you, me and a secret'. It is an absolutely thriving start for the beginner and a must read for an avariciois bookie like me.

The book narrates the story it beholds through many voices and unravels thrill through its many twists that are incredible.

Typically put, it is a compelling page turner. Happy reading!

The idea of this story is really good. I really liked the narrator being so lost, that was portrayed well. Unfortunately the English in the book is terrible, admittedly not the worst I've read, but the general read could be much improved if a native speaker helped to touch up the language and grammar a little. I would have liked to have had a little more exploratory thought and action by the protagonist as well as a touch more depth in the characters.
