Overall the book was enjoyable. It follows a little dolphin who overcomes his fear of leaping out of the water. This book validates fear and demonstrates how although it was scary the dolphin was able to overcome his fear. This would be useful for children who may be struggling to overcome a fear of their own.

This story is not only good for beginning readers to have an interesting story to read with limited vocabulary, but has a great lesson of persevering even when you may be afraid to try something new. Text rhymes to help student in decoding unknown words. I'm not sure I would purchase this book, but would use it if it was a part of a classroom library.

I loved this book. This book is about a dolphin who was afraid to jump out of the water. He finally finds his motivation to jump when he sees this boy watching him off a boat. This is a perfect story to teach children to never give up and always try.

This is a great motivational book for Kindergarteners. This book also uses rhyming to tell a story that will keep kids engaged. The illustrations are also interesting. I could see using this as an alphabet book for the letter D or L (for leap). It is a guided reading level H.
