This is the first book in this series. I read the third one first and think I liked it a bit better. These are cute, short novels that are good if you’re in the mood for reading but not thinking.

In this one, Katy is 37 years old and having a fun fling with a gym teacher eight years younger than her. She’s on the pill but guesses it was an illness or vomiting after drinking too much with clients that rendered the pill ineffective because she gets pregnant. She’s almost positive the baby is Ben’s

Actual Rating: 4 stars

This is a really cute book. I have been reading a ton of romances that deal with heavy topics lately and I needed something to wind down with. This book worked! No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday is a humorous chick lit novel (although I found the last 50% of the book to be much funnier than the first 50%). This is a novel about pregnancy, not taking life too seriously, and true love (even if it takes a few hiccups along the w

1- There isn't even one character to like
2- Kate is big selfish cow
3- Mat is the worst jurk ever

Kate got cheated on in college by the love of her life "Mat", she dumps him and gets a new life, when a school reunion is set, they meet, and you wanna kill yourself, she made a whole fuss when he cheated on her but didn't even give a single little shit about his wife's feelings or her boyfriend's when she slept with him (Mat) the night of that reunion and the pathetic hi

I found the characters in No-One one dimensional and clichéd, with little charm to recommend or elevate them. Our leading lights, Katy, Ben and Matthew are completely unsympathetic and I found it really hard to care about any of them. Katy and Ben do not seem to be a healthy functioning couple and the attraction between Katy and high-school sweetheart Matthew was far too underdeveloped.

Not caring about any of the characters meant that I really couldn't get involved in the love-triangle aspect. T

Firstly I’d like to thank the author for sending me this eBook to read and give an honest review. I had originally seen a review for this book on Reading In The Sunshine and thought it sounded like something I would enjoy so when the author contacted me to ask if I would like a copy I jumped at the chance!

Within the first few pages I was already laughing out loud and this continued throughout, it definitely contained my kind of humour. Katy’s boyfriend Ben was quite a bit younger than her and wh
Whispering Stories
Katy is a 36 year old pregnant woman living with her younger P.E teacher boyfriend Ben, who has an approach to life that normal people just don’t have, and some logical (if only to him) ideas why people don’t have sex on Tuesdays.

At their first antenatal class, Katy who is eight months pregnant, and Ben bump into Katy’s old high school sweetheart Matthew who is there with his pregnant wife, the highly strung, perfect, Alice, who is pregnant with their twins.

What Ben and Alice don’t know is that

I present you with an emoji recreation of my reaction to this book. It was utter, utter, drivel. Which is a shame because I think the author can do comedy quite well. I say think, because it’s hard to see through the shiteness of the plot, the awfulness of the characters, and the steaming frustration one feels on finishing it.
I have read only 41% of this book.
It is about a woman who revenged a man for something that happened 20 years ago by having sex with him. How much worse could it get? It seems like a book written by a 13 year old spoiled girl.
This 13 year old girl seems to have said "I have a dream of writing a book, so I will write one, and even make it funny". So she tried to make it funny. So amongst other hilarious (cough cough) things, she called a man Braindead and another one Fanny Mycock.

Amusing but not hilarious, this is an easy read, but it's not a great one. The characters are straight out of a book of clichés: self-centred, good-time girl; laddish but good-hearted boyfriend; successful, uptight ex and his shrewish, snobby wife; gay best friend. This book ticks all those boxes.

The story centres on an unexpected pregnancy and a who's-the-daddy plot, which is never actually resolved. As the book went on, I found myself caring less and less about silly Katy and her baby-daddies

I think this is probably one of those books that you either like or you don't. The plot - woman in a relationship meets up with old flame etc etc - is actually uncomfortable reading at times. People are getting hurt. People do the wrong thing but for all that, the story has a charm and appealed to me. I think sometimes readers have to try not to look too deeply into what happens and just go with the flow. This isn't a book that sets out to dissect in detail the whys and why nots of affairs and f ...more

Awful. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Total drivel, none of the characters were remotely likeable and it was very dull. Dubbed "hilarious" and "romantic", it was neither. One of the worst books I've ever read. I only finished it because I'd paid for it and did not want to be beaten by it.

Would've rated this higher if the characters weren't so cliched.

The story is fun and lighthearted, melodramatic at times, with some anecdotes thrown in here and there. What I liked most about the book is that it delivered on romantic suspense: up until the very end it kept me guessing whom main character Katy would end up with (Matthew, her high school sweetheart, or Ben, her current boyfriend), or if she would end up alone (maybe meet someone new). Neither of the guys seem like 'perfect' dad ma

When I look at Tracy Bloom's photo above, she looks like such a happy person, and that is what this book was about. It was a happy book with loads of mischief and missteps, but happy. I always find it intriguing to read a book from an author "across the pond" because, well, you can just never get to serious when reading about a "bloke".

No-one ever has sex on a Tuesday is a charming story about past love and present love, and what happens when those two worlds end up on a collision course. I'm s

This is another first for me and was also Tracy's debut novel. On Tracy's website she says the book will have you laughing and crying and I definitely agree with this statement. Just minutes before writing this someone on my twitter feed asked what the last book someone had cried at, this was mine.

The story is about Katy as she has to face up to a one night stand resulting in a pregnancy, not only that but she is unsure who the father of the child is due to an old flame coming back into her life

I've just literally finished 'No-one ever has Sex on a Tuesday' I needed to write my review now while I still had this bizarre feeling of warmth and love inside me.

Now if you're one of my regular readers you will probably have just gasped in shock at them words. Me, warmth love? The girl in the Pajamas with the swinging brick instead of a heart? Well yes her. Me.

I'm not going to go into detail at all about this book, but give just a few little comments linked to the book and a little paragraph

I was given a copy of this from Netgalley.

I thought this would be a funny book to say the least. I laughed in parts, but I would say the Katy, Matthew and Ben love triangle is slightly a bit boring. Matthew's wife doesn't know that Matthew and Katy had a relationship when they were in school and also the baby that Katy is carrying COULD BE his :O. Ben has found out things and Katy is wondering where her relationship with Ben is going. There is Daniel, Katy's gay friend and boy does he like dram

I wasn't expecting much for this book. At most a cheery little book about relationships, nostalgia and love. Something that might make me smile. This wasn't the book for me. I should have known straight off that a 'romantic comedy' involving a woman, the ex she slept with and his wife would be a hard sell - not because of the affair but because she and his wife are both pregnant when they next meet. And the man in question has all the charisma of a wet sock. ...more

A fairly enjoyable read, but definitely spoiled by ending at 86%. I don't like the habit some authors / publishers have of putting chapters of the next book at the end of the one I'm reading - I never read it and it actually discourages me to purchase from them again. ...more
Emma Star Crossed Reviews
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I purchased this book from Amazon and I have had it on my TBR list for quite a while. The third book in the series is out this week so I thought it was time I got myself all caught up.

The first thing I have to say about Tracy's writing is that it is so funny. I loved the Gloria scene. I won't say anything else about it but it was very funny. Daniel was also very funny and one of my favourite characters in this book.

This book follows Katy
This is almost 5 stars for me. It is maybe my favorite romcom/chick lit ever. It is funny enough that I literally laughed out loud on numerous occasions. It is so far-fetched but yet not. I found myself immediately engaged and connected to Katie. Bloom's unfolding of the exposition is fabulous. Her character-development is delightful. Katie is the least-conventional romantic protagonist ever. I legitimately couldn't decide which path Bloom was going to send Katie down. Book 2 took a little to tr ...more
Quite funny, if a bit forced in places - of the same genre as Bridget Jones's diary but sadly not up to that standard of comedic genius. I didn't really warm to any of the characters (the main characters were horrible, deluded people!) and none of them were very consistent or well developed. That said, there was some decent comic dialogue, especially towards the end, which made it a reasonably entertaining read. 2.5-3 stars. ...more

Fantastic- loved it!

A genuinely 5 star book, it had everything and I finished it in one night! Really funny, moving, sweet, romantic and wasn't cheesy or unpredictable like a lot of romance novels. The characters are so lovable and endearing, I'm hoping that there is a sequel. Loved it.

This was cliche central but was absolutely enjoyable. A lighthearted, fun and funny read. Perfect ending to the readathon. 😊🙌

Shelves: chick-lit
This is a fairly easy read for those that like chick-lit, so for me was the ideal book to read on holiday whilst sat by the pool. It involves two ex-partners running into each other and having a one-night stand, and the difficulties that ensue. Nothing about the plot of this book was new or exciting, as it’s the same old chick-lit plot rehashed. However, sometimes all you need is something to take away your thoughts and let you drift off into literary land, and this does just the job.

It’s probably enough to say that the best thing about this book was the title - it’s pretty much downhill from there....
