I fell in love with Gavin and Elle, the couple that launched the Frisky Beavers series. Max and Violet, Beth & Lachlan & Hugh, I loved the series more. Could it get better, why yes it could: Tate and Sasha!
Sasha's a feisty woman. Nate's a hockey-playing kink-loving jock. And that's the surface. Underneath it, Sasha has reasons to be defensive. She's been burnt before. By a jock. Nate's a tender soul. He's a kind, generous, and as we see in this book a patient man. The best kind of man.
This is their love story. They fall in love with each other, only it seems to take both of them a while to figure it out. In their own very distinctive ways.
I love, love, love, these authors. These books have some serious kink in them. They are hot and sexy. But they are also explorations of emotion. The characters are deep and rich, while they are stubborn, silly, funny, and occasionally so oblivious that you want to shout loudly at them. But that's the point isn't it? You don't want to argue with a character who is flat, who stays on the pages of the book. You only want to cheer one on that lives in your mind. That's the magic that these authors put together. In so doing, they give a point to the heat, a direction for the sexy, and it all works. They explore real problems, such as how to handle social media, what to do in a long-distance relationship.
In a nutshell, read this, you won't regret it. You'll love it even more if you start with Prime Minister, the first book in the series. You won't regret it.
