Good, short read
The book was well written and the world building was done awesomely. You could picture the decimated, primitive earthlings and the advanced, sterile world our heroine was taken to. The female lead was quite childish though. It was hard for me to appreciate her properly.

Living in a dilapidated McDonald’s, Tara lives each day foraging for food and looking over her shoulder for danger. Then, the unthinkable: she’s kidnapped by strange men in a spaceship! These hooligans present her to their boss, Kyren, who is instantly taken with his newest pet. He immediately notices her penchant for getting turned on at discipline and forms a bond with his keep much greater than your average pet-master relationship. Along the way, however, there are hindrances getting in the way of their romance.
Awe. So cute.
The characters were great. I liked Tara — she didn’t annoy me in the slightest. I also like how “shameless” she was about what she wanted. Kyren was very much the all-knowing all-powerful Master with no weaknesses… well, except Tara. The sex was excellent, and as was the romance. Very kinky. Features: spanking, collars, and public humiliation!
My only complaint is how short it was! Still, nothing dragged on or was glossed over. Excellent pacing. Simple but effective plot. I’d recommend this to fans of Renee Rose, and I’ll definitely be reading this author’s other works.

A sweet little tale with a few flaws
Tara is taken from a nearly devastated Earth and brought to be a pet for Kyren, her new owner. Kyren is a wealthy collector of rare species and he is immediately intrigued by the beautiful and spirited woman he has for his new pet. Though she is described by the author as highly intelligent, the story seems to cast her as simple and unable to grasp that she could be in grave danger if she doesn't put on a good performance for the authority. Instead of showing her intelligence, they write her as ignorant,which irritated me. The author could have simply had the young authority guard being over interested then pitted Kyren and him in a fight. I didn't like the portrayal of Tara the way they cast her, but I did like the instant attraction between Tara and Kyren. The sex scenes were well written and I did enjoy most of the story and would recommend to overall.

Tara was captured and stowed in a small crate. When she was dragged out of cage, her capters put a bag over her head. Then she was picked up and develered to Kyren as his new pet. But he couldn't believe his eyes when they removed her hood. Tara was a beautiful, pure human. He decided to try to civilize her. First day, she escapes and causes a unlawful disturbance. Eventually, a corrupt authority decides he wants her and try to take her. What Kyren owns, he keeps. You will enjoy this story and especially the ending. This is an adult only book of discovery, sex, and a deep abiding love. Of course, I recommend this author as one of the best in several genres.

Loki Renard has done it again. The story has an apocalyptic Earth, alien abduction, pet play, and evil politicians. This is pet play without the humiliation of some other pet play books (no crawling, tails, etc). Lord Kyren has always cared for his pets but Tara is different. Tara, being one of the last pure humans (Earth has been ruined and the lack of males is slowly diminishing what is left of the population), is feisty, intelligent, strong, and self sufficient. Kyren is surprisingly single-minded in his efforts to train Tara to fit in on his planet. Kyren and Tara work well together. The story is intriguing and I could not put it down. It is kind of short but I don't feel that the author slighted us on quality. Even though there is no epilogue, the author have given us a great conclusion that thoroughly wraps up the story.

Another example of Ms. Renard talent and gift for writing excellent pet play stories. Not only is this story well written it is also brilliant story telling. Dynamic scene descriptions and action had me glued to the story from beginning to end, a most exhilarating read. Tara is such a fun, engaging character and Lord Kyren is just so hot and firm. Sex, drama and aliens oh my! The twist was so much cooler then I thought...great story great ending!

Hot read with some mild BDSM elements. Good characters, overall good plot but would have liked a bit more at the end or an epilogue.
