This book marks the 4th book from this author that I’ve read. I don’t know why I keep reading her books clearly she’s not for me.

Hero was a huge whore. I didn’t expect him to be celibate since the heroine was in fact in love and married to his half brother. And I’ve never liked sharing in the family. And the blurb did not give an indication that the hero was her brother in law or else I wouldn’t have touched it. I know by reading my bestie Alex’s review that her husband was going to be turned into a bad man. But this paragraph sealed the deal for me. I dnfed chapter 2. Don’t care how it ends.
I’m trying to stay away from manwhores.

“I’ve spent years trying to fuck Tessa out of my system, using one woman after another. Each warm, wet pussy fades into the next, absorbing into a faceless sea of no-strings-attached sex. I’m always hoping the next pair of legs I land between will break the spell.”

So I went to bed last night intending to read a chapter of this book. I ended up reading fifty percent before I put it down for the night. Woke up this morning to an eye infection. Took two painkillers as in so much pain and I finished the book. I’m telling you this cos usually when I get an eye infection I don’t read for a few days but there’s no way I could leave this for a few days. I had even thought of asking my partner to read it to me but I knew he’d read too slow for me lol

I’m not gonna go into the storyline because honestly you need to go into this blind. You need to feel this story. The author has written this story in such a way I felt the pure raw pain that Tessa was going through. My heart hurt for her. I just wanted to hold her and comfort her. I loved Dante. His kindness and patience portrayed how much of a good man he truly is.

This is a must read. If I needed to read this while having a throbbing sore eye you really do need to read it. It’s definitely a story I’ll be recommending to whoever listens to me lol if your looking for a read with a brilliant storyline and amazing characters then I can not recommend this highly enough. I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author.

I liked this book despite it had many of my triggers: family-'sharing' -> the H was the half-brother of h's deceased husband; H wasn't celibate after meeting the h -> she was married to his brother, so I didn't expect him to live like a monk, but he was, as I understood from his thoughts and h's comment, a manwhore. Plus they made her dead husband a bad guy, since he cheated on her.

But nevertheless the book was good. It was written well and the H was absolutely in love with the h (that's why it was a bitter pill to swallow that he tried to forget about her with the 'help' of OWs). No sex-scenes with OWs though. No OW drama from his side, but with the 'mistress' of her husband.

I could point out other small and bigger things, that bothered me, but it's not a purpose of my hopefully short review.
I wouldn't dare to recommend it to safety-ladies (I'm the one of them), even if he wasn't with any OW after his brother died and he was definitely the chaser of their relationship.

Overall: well written 'tabu' love story, strong likable heroine, sweet epilogue.

I will check the previous book by this author, and very possible the next one.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Beautiful. Emotional. Raw. This book just tore my heart up! Within the first few chapters I was a sobbing mess, destroyed. While reading the life of Tessa Salinger, I felt her pain, I felt her heart breaking and shattering. Losing someone close to you, someone you love with all your heart will change your life, shatter your soul. The way K Street just delivered this story was nothing short of amazing.

“I don’t just mourn him. I grieve for the memories we’ll never make, all those moments I’ll never have a chance to lock inside my heart.”

Her writing is beautiful to the point that I highlighted like a mad women. It’s packed with beautiful lines that you will feel deep in your soul. So raw that you feel the pain of the characters right along with them.

This is a tough one to write a review for because I’m terrified to give anything away. This is a book that you need to go into blind because experiencing this story the way the characters did with one gut wrenching blow after another is the best way to do it.

I will say that the two main characters Tessa and Dante go through so much but the love that Dante has for her is undeniable. Between the bedroom scenes and the sweet words he speaks will leave you swooning and your heart melting.

“She’s everything. I’ve never bowed to anyone in my life, but I’d happily drop to my knees for her.”

Congratulations K Street on this beautiful gut wrenching story!! You did an amazing job! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next. ❤️

The Fall of Cinderella
By: K. Street

WOW!!! What a ride!

Tessa Salinger is living the dream. Excellent Job, Awesome Husband, trying to have kids, Swanky apartment on a high floor with a doorman. Everything a Gal could dream of. Things are going good.

How can a ring of your doorbell change your life so suddenly?

How do you get past that single doorbell…

How do you pick up the pieces that are now broken into millions of pieces…

Devastated… that’s how Tessa has become. The how’s, the why’s, the hatred, the lies…
It is all adding up now and yet there is one piece of the puzzle that has remained untouched…
Till now.

What a wicked tale K. Street has brought to us. Full of emotions, this story was unlike any I’ve read before.

What Is It About:
Tessa's life changes completely overnight when her husband is killed by a drunk driver. Her life begins to unravel as his secrets begin to come out. She manages to keep it together with the help of her brother-in-law Dante. Dante has been in love with Tessa since the first time that he saw her but Trevor saw her first. Dante stays patient but Trevor's memory may keep them part.

What I Liked and Didn't:
My first point will be that there is no hint of Cinderella in this book. The vague blurb makes it sound like it is but other than calling characters Prince Charming and Cinderella, and referring to a happily ever after, there's not a link.
Character-wise, I didn't really care about any of them. Tessa just came across as an idealistic, naive woman. I did admire her strength when it came to being a widow. But I didn't like how she handled Trevor's secrets. It's aim was to show she's a great person but no normal person would do what she did. Dante was not a memorable character. I remember two things: 1) the first time in his POV is the day after his brother dies and Tessa's sobbing, his first thought is that he wants to have sex with her. Come on, pick a better time. 2) he was very patient when it came to starting a relationship with Tessa, or as patient as you can be when it's the first thought you have after your brother dies. "Oh yeah, his widow's single now, get in." As you may tell, the plot idea was my favourite. Sully the memory of the dead husband so that it makes it a bit more okay when she gets with his brother. Plus the twist about Trevor's secrets just came out of nowhere, so I'm not really sold on this book.

Final Thoughts:
The simplest way to put my opinion about this book is that it wasn't my cup of tea. Trevor's secrets kept me reading but I half-wish that I'd picked up a different book.
Would I recommend it? I don't think that I would.
Will I read another book by K. Street? If I like the sound of the book, maybe. But I wouldn't read it solely because they're the author.

As an author myself and a mother of six, I don't have much time to read, but I made time for this one and boy am I glad I did. This cover, title, and blurb spoke to me, and I HAD to have it.

K is a beautiful writer. Her words are poetic and flowy without feeling forced. Despite the pretty writing, her male character was very manly and a bit dirty, and I really liked that!

I loved both main characters. Despite being hit over and over again with the unthinkable, Tessa remained strong, and put herself first when she needed to. And Dante. Good lord, Dante. His love and devotion were unwavering, even when most would have given up.

The Fall of Cinderella is the emotional story of Tessa's fairy tale blowing up in her face. Everything she thought she had, turns out to be a lie, and she's left sifting through the pieces. But she finds her prince amid the rubble, in the most unlikely of places.

It's beautiful, raw, and realistic. A truly remarkable book. Great job, Mrs. Street!

What can i say...I LOVE this author. I wasn’t sure when I first started this book if I was gonna like it! She exceeded my expectations!!! So Tessa, she comes from a great home, her parents are down to earth run of the mill parents. She meets and marries Trevor. Trevor...not complete and utter scum but close to it. Thank God we didn’t see him long😂Dante...holy smokes. Dante!!😍👅He was the brother to Trevor secretly pining for Tessa from the very beginning! In fact, it should ah e been him that she met all those years ago and not Trev. But...everything happens for a reason! I think the thing I loved most was that they were such good friends. Dante put everything he desired on the back burner for her. He helped her heal and it was so sweet...and hot!
This author writes such believable material. It’s so real and it sweeps you up into such a delicious tale! I can’t wait to read more from her!!!

This author has an incredible story-telling skill. Her stories are layered and multi-dimensional and they don't miss a beat. They're not straightforward, but they follow a distinct path and unfold perfectly. This is my third book by her and I am seriously impressed with how well these stories have been thought out and executed. There hasn't been a single moment in reading that I didn't feel something and her characters were relatable and so are the stories. I am super happy I gave her a chance (on cover alone lol) a few years ago. I'm sad there is only one more book by her I can read but hopefully she will continue writing for many years because she is that good! #TRUST

Meh. I mean, meeeeh.

Here is another highly rated book that I thought was meh.

Someone told me recently that I am cold hearted, I guess they were right. I have read other reviews and they all pretty much say the same thing.

”OMG MY EYES WERE LEAKING THE ENTIRE BOOK! IT WAS DEVASTATING!!!”

And of course I am sitting here questioning my sanity, did I pick up the wrong book? I mean at the end my eyes misted over when Tessa finally said good bye. Other than that, I felt Dante’s character lacked, making me think he was a straight up stalker.

You were made to believe poor dead Trevor was living 2 separate lives with 2 different families. So you automatically hate him.

Boom. THE END.

The Fall of Cinderella is waking up only to realize your dream life is crumpling into a nightmare having to pick up the shattered pieces.

Tessa has lived a fairy tale life, until her life is turned upside down. Now she is faced with some harsh realities that she has to take on. Stumbling through her new life Dante, her brother in law, is there to help her. Slowly a stronger bond starts to form between them as they become more apart of each other's lives.

"The sun sets, and not once do we get a glimpse of what becomes of Cinderella after the happily ever after. I know all too well what happens. When the very foundation of her world crumbles from beneath her, when she discovers the fairy tale is nothing more than an extravagant lie dressed up in lavish clothes, Cinderella falls."

I love how even after all the heartbreak and damages the story is gentle. The story has a slow nice pace that guides you through a story instead of rushing through it. The characters are strong minded, determined and well written. Something that matches well with the story. Healing passionate
The relationship that builds between Tessa and Dante develops a connection that is healing, caring yet burning and passionate.

-I received an ARC at no cost from the author.

This is my first book written by this author and I’m far from being done reading her stories. This 5 star story really captured my undivided attention.

This review will remain spoiler free because there are so many surprising shocking twists that kept coming until the end.

This story was so addicting that I basically read it in a matter of a few short hours. I admire an author who can keep the surprises coming because it keeps me captive until the very last word. This is a romantic story with some intrigue and suspense. Great storyline that flowed well. I went through a whirlwind of emotions. From sadness to being upset to happiness. I loved the perfectly crafted characters. Bottomline is that this is a must read.

Standalone told in a dual POV with an amazing HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

Tessa and Dante. Connected by Trevor. Her husband. His half brother.

She thinks she has the perfect life. He thinks their brothery business is going well.

Tragedy brings both their worlds crashing down around them. Her marriage was not what it seemed. His brother was hiding things from him in the business.

She crumbles, he tries to hold himself and Tessa together. Told from both their points of view which gives you a deeper look into what is happening.

What happens when your life comes crashing down and nothing is what it seemed? Can love bloom in a tragedy?

Loved this book and will be looking for more from this author!

HEA ♥️

The cover is absolutely beautiful! I loved the story as well. Any story that involves someone wanting and loving someone from afar and not being able to have them is always a good read.

I wish we could of seen more from Dante’s viewpoint maybe a few flashbacks to when he was “pining” after Tessa before.

Overall it was a fast paced page turning read that I would recommend!

Predictable

I was quite disappointed with this book. It was so unbelievably predictable right from the get-go. The heroine lacked personality, and the hero was boring. I skipped through most of the book. Just to reach the end!
The ending was sweet, but again, predictable.

I’m the kind of reader that will enjoy nearly every book I read, but it’s rare I come across a book I would give beyond 5 stars. This book deserves infinite stars and more Frankenstein hearts than all the readers in the world. I am so blown away that I think I may be in a galaxy far far away right now (not even sorry for the geek joke, you can’t make me!).

K. Street weaves this story with perceived effortlessness, the way only a meant to be author can. No doubt if she reads this she’ll snort or roll her eyes and say it was far from effortless, and I truly have no doubt that she poured everything into this book, heart, mind, soul, and probably her blood, sweat and tears too. But that has enabled her to concoct a spellbinding, magical journey that captivated me from the start and kept me hooked beyond the last page.

Seriously after meeting her at a signing, and getting to know her as a person I already love her, but getting to see the author part of her has made her a unicorn to me. I treasure this book so much, it’s carved itself an irreplaceable part in my Frankenstein heart.

Dante is quite possibly the most caring, selfless, wonderful character I’ve ever discovered. I am genuinely so in love with him, and I love love love him with Tessa. He was the man she always deserved, her perfect other half, and I adore how they know each other at a soul deep level and that they actually help each other to be the best they can be. My heart broke for Tessa so much, even whilst I was annoyed at her for not being able to see that she wasn’t the only person suffering, my heart broke for the intensity of her grief, betrayal and that unimaginable pain, and understood that the only reason she couldn’t see Dante’s pain was because of how trapped her own was making her.

This is a powerful, poetic, beautifully written novel that perfectly demonstrates why creative writing is an art form. The emotions expressed, the language used, even the technical aspects, the way K Street uses so many language devices so powerfully, weaving a beautiful tapestry, her words eloquently creating such magical imagery. Wow. I can’t believe this is only the author’s second novel!!!!! Grab it now, and let Dante heal your Frankenstein heart too, you’ll be so very glad you did. Easily one of my favourite books this year!!

4.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I read K. Street’s debut novel, Healing the Broken, and it was stunning. She officially became an author I would watch out for and once I read the blurb for her second release, I just knew it was going to be great. I was not wrong. The Fall of Cinderella was a sweet mixture of angsty, mysterious, hopeful and sexy. Ms. Street quickly had me falling for her characters and their story.

Tessa is living a dream life. She has a beautiful home, wants for nothing, and has her very own Prince Charming. Until she doesn’t. Tragedy strikes, and her husband is taken from her in the blink of an eye, shattering her world.

But what happens when she discovers that everything was not as it seemed? The people closest to her had secrets and her husband may not have been the Prince Charming she thought he was. His brother Dante is there to support her, and Tessa trusts him, finds comfort in his presence. But Dante also has secrets he’s kept close to the chest, and what will happen when Tessa finds out? Is everything as bad as it seems?

Tessa’s search for the truth doesn’t come without pain, but she is a strong woman. Dante is always there for her, even in the times she needs to hold him at arms-length. His character was so kind, considerate and patient, I adored him.

This is the kind of story you should just jump into. Talking too much about the plot will give things away and I don’t want to do that.

Secrets. Lies. Romance. The Fall of Cinderella is a captivating tale you don’t want to miss. One-click it!!!

The Fall of Cinderella, wow! What a fall. I’m gonna start by saying that once I stared this book I was hooked. From beginning to end. What a roller coaster of emotions. And believe me when I say you will cry your eyes out. I did. Such a baby right? Really so much feelings in this story but you get your little heart mended, I promise.

Tessa a woman with everything she ever wanted a great job, an amazing husband, good stability but then with one knock of the door everything changes and the fall begins.
I really don’t want to give much of the story because this book really needs to be read going in blindfolded. I did and I loved every minute of it. Just know that Tessa is someone you will hurt with in this journey and in the end you will believe in love again.

Dante, what can I say about this beautiful man. I’m so in love. Dante is everything, and everything for him is Tessa.
You go thru so much feelings with this book and with the characters. You cheer for them, you cry and you fall in love.
I really don’t want to spoil anything on this story.

The Fall of Cinderella is a great story the characters are amazing and have great chemistry since the beginning. Is a story that draws you in since the very start. And the feels are over the top. And again Dante.... SWOON!!

Oh… my… word… how am I supposed to write a review on this? I can’t give anything away! All you need is to read the blurb and nothing more… heck, don’t even read that… go in completely blind! This book is so raw and beautiful that you are just going to sit there staring off into a daze afterwards… or that is what I did! I’m going to be completely honest and tell you I was a sobbing mess reading this. Not just the ending but throughout this book… within pages I was crying!

Reading about Tessa Salinger’s life was touching. K. Street wrote a breath-taking story that seriously touched my soul and I want to reread this already. I’d LOVE to have this beautiful, inside and outside, on my bookshelf but I will be buying the actual Kindle copy because I need the “real” one on my kindle at the very least. Street wrote pure poetry that spoke to my heart. Her characters were so real that you feel for them… you cry for them! This is my first and only K. Street book that I have read and she has earned a stalker in my! The Fall of Cinderella is a book that will pull the reader into another world!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

I wanted to love this one, however, this was just a like for me. Some parts I loved and others I didn't so I have balanced it out to a three. This is another one of the widow getting together with the husbands brother and came as a recommendation after I purchased another book with a similar trope. For me, what I didn't like was trying to sully the dead husbands memory to make the fact that the brother steps in okay. It is like the author was trying to force the reader into accepting the situation when she could have done so, just as easily, through a genuine slow burn romance. This is just my personal opinion though. I did feel that this was extremely fast paced and as such I didn't have that character connection I crave as the depth just wasn't there. However, the author kept me reading despite the above and the secrets unfurling were what kept me going even if I didn't like the idea of them in the first place. K Street is a new to me author and while this wasn't a love love love, the author shows promise.

I received a signed copy of this book through a Goodreads Giveaway in exchange for an honest review! My initial thought of this book was "Too much Too fast". Right out of the gate we learn of Dante's infatuation with Tessa. Tessa's husband has just died, Dante's half-brother, and Dante on page 26, only days after, even before the funeral, we learn of some pretty explicit things he would like to do to her. It was a little off putting at first and I wasn't sure if I even wanted to continue. I'm a fan of romance novels and knew what I was going to be reading but under the circumstances of Tessa's grief like I said too much too fast. However, that honestly was my only negative. I really enjoyed the remainder of this book. The author has a real knack for expressing and capturing the emotional sides of her characters. Tessa's grief, anger, and lust for Dante and vice versa was perfectly depicted in the book. With alternating POV's, I enjoyed the characters, there was a maturity about them I could appreciate which made the dialogue and actions feel more natural to the reader. With short chapters it moved this story along at a fast pace. I also appreciated that Tessa recognized she had to gain strength in herself first to forgive and move on.
