I'm gonna keep this one short and sweet. Hopefully. Liam was a famous rock star who was extremely adept at manipulation Freya. He got her to be his maid, to move in with him, to pretend to date him, and to eventually be his real girlfriend. He was selfish, arrogant and self-entitled. But that was to be expected because he was rich and famous and a huge party lover and predominantly promiscuous. Freya helped to calm him but didn't feel like she got much out of the deal. She had a hard time accept ...more

This is book about two very destructive people who fall in love with each other, finding themselves on the way and becoming better people.
Did i like it? Yes, I did, and I would recommend.
This is the book that makes you cry in some parts and your heart swell with emotions.
I hope to see more new books from this author :)

Great Book. I think deep down we all wonder what it would be like to be famous, and Theresa Jane has done a wonderful job with this story. Not only has she written a very entertaining story, but has really hit the mark with two great characters. Things weren’t looking great for Freya when her only friend Darla was too busy to see her, and her art work wasn’t receiving any interest in the art world. Since she didn’t have a job, and living from day to day depended on selling her art, that was a ma ...more

If you love a good romance story with endearing characters than you should pick up a copy of this book. Liam came off as the perfect gentleman. In fact, he was almost too perfect that you had to wonder if he was real. Luckily, he was the real deal. Freya was very lucky to have Liam. Although, it may not have seemed like it in the beginning. I loved how Liam instantly came to Freya's side and became her protector. After getting to hear Freya's story about her childhood, she needed someone to prot ...more

One of the greatest things in life is finding a book, in which you become so utterly and completly absorbed in the story line and the characters that you cannnot put it down. Beastly Lights is one of those books. I absolutely loved it. I found the authors writing style engaging. She made it so easy to fall in love with the characters and their stories. I loved the character of Freya, I found her to be so relatable that you felt like you were reading the story through her eyes, experiencing her l ...more

I love reading a story about a sexy rockstar and when I had a chance to read Beastly Lights I was enthralled with the storyline. It didn't take me long to become completely engrossed and I have to say that Theresa Jane threw me for a loop that this was unlike any rockstar story I have read before. Beastly Lights kept me up reading until the wee hours of the morning. It is a "can't-put-down" kind of story.

Here is why...

I've been in a book slump, real critical, hard to get into, tired of the same old thing. So when I picked up this rock star book I had the plot in my head already and figured I'd be bored as well.
Boy was I wrong. This book is out there, the plot is different. You are constantly left asking "what? Why? Did that just happen?" And wondering who is the bigger a$$in Freya's life.
Each of the characters is well described in built in a way you feel you know them good and bad. Not just Liam and Freya b

I am voluntarily reviewing Beastly Lights by Theresa Jane after receiving an Advanced Reader Copy.

OMG What an emotional rollercoaster. You will laugh and cry and be angry with all the men in her life. I think the only one who truly loved her without an agenda was Davis. OK maybe his agenda was getting her to make cookies with him (he was only 4) but at least she knew where she stood with him on every level and it was without condition or force.

I'm in love with this book! I couldn't put it down. I laughed and I cried. This was the first book by Theresa Jane that I've read, and I really loved it. This book is worth buying and I recommend it as a must read.

I received a copy of this book directly from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I’m going to give this book the benefit of the doubt. I’ll admit, when I picked up Beastly Lights by Theresa Jane, I didn’t immediately like the main characters, particularly Freya. My first impression of her was that she was jaded, pessimistic and a bit of a complainer. The way she narrated the story made it seem as if she was generally unhappy and unkind to those around her, often mak
The basic plot of the story was good but it took a looonnng time to get there. When it said 800+ pages I figured there must be a bonus book in there too (which is pretty common) but no. 50 (mostly long) chapters is no joke. There could be a lot of editing for content. There were some parts that just couldn't keep my attention and I put this book down many times and then it was hard to get back into.

It's really hard to like a book when I don't like the main character. Freya is a petul

We meet struggling artist Freya Coleman who hardly has a penny to her name. Now and again her brother Mason who is a accountant will send some money her way but they haven't the closest of relationships. Feel the love

I'm an independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock.
With the title beastly lights going into this I thought it was going to be a shifter book, thought it is not, I was not disappointed.... Here we have a rock star with a very sad past... And the woman that he is starting to have feelings for... Liam struggles with his past making it hard for him to trust her and everyone around him... Now Freya's past is just as bad if not worse than his... With the love of their friends

In the words of Thumper...

It was the character of Thumper from the "Bambi" who said (albeit ungrammatically) " If you can't say anything nice, don't say nothin' at all." Well, there are some nice things I can say about this book, but they are few. The basic premise is the stuff of storybooks: rich, gorgeous rock star meets ordinary girl and falls for her, in spite of, or perhaps because of, her disdain for him. Okay, artistic license. Go with the premise, regardless of how farfetched. But what fo

So much more than I expected

I went into this book with extremely low expectations. I thought it would be just like any other romance story, one that disappointed me with its flat characters and unconvincing romance but man, if I wasn't mistaken. This story started one way, with me only being slightly invested in the characters in the beginning to me not wanting to stop nearly 30% through. I laughed, I cried, I ran a full gamot of emotions reading this novel. I found myself loving Freya and Lia

Beastly Lights is a very good book and I don’t think the name does it justice. This story kept me reading (way past my bed time) and I did not want to put the book down. Theresa does a great job of creating a bond between the reader and the characters. Liam is the party hard playboy rocker and Freya is the everyday girl with a bad past. Frey is kind hearted and takes more BS from the men in her life then she should ever have too.

I’m not a crier but I did cry at two different places in this book

A failed artist, Freya become gainfully employed when her lawyer brother get her a job as a live in house cleaner for Liam Henderson, rock star extraordinaire. There is one recurring problem, he is obsessive compulsive regarding cleanliness and she is a bit of a slob. Long and repetitive conversations slow the pace down considerably. Editing would help an okay romance become much more.

I really enjoyed this book. This is a really engaging book with characters who just flow from the pages. They are fully developed and the way that they are presented, and their interaction, really made this book one that was highly enjoyable. This reads much more like a fiction book than a romance. The word flow, the pacing of the story, the storyline itself and the dialogue are all elements that mesh well together but the characters are what really brings it all home for me with this one.

This book was very surprising to me. Honestly, this book might have one of the best 'stories' in any book that I've read in a while and it actually held a plot. The story was not hard to follow nor did it leave out any important information. I did think this story was a little long and took forever to play out. This would have gotten 5 stars if not for the few grammatical mistakes, and the fact that I did not like the newspaper/article inserts within the book.
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Destruction, disaster, desire. Two people with pain and disaster apart of their everyday life. Freya an artist by nature and a piece of property by her brother. She was bartered away like she was nothing to Liam, redisental bad boy of the rock scene. The read was intense in place and a solid impact in other. I found Freya had Liam had a volitale chemistry that mixed well for them.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review.

I had some difficulties getting through this book to begin with. The premise is not logical to me. Ultimately I did enjoy this read. You have to love a Rock Star love story especially when it is as heartwarming as Liam & Freya!!!

Beastly lights by Jane. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it. For me, a male, it was a chick lit that took ages to resolve. I am amazed at the attention to detail in the dialogue and the descriptions. Freya was the main narrator though Liam had a short stint. Being also from Melbourne, Australia, a coffee loving place, I could concur with the two coffee machines.

The first quarter of this book was actually pretty interesting, in that guilty pleasure crack way, but then it just drags on soooo long and it's such a destructive relationship and no one is enjoying it AT ALL. I can't believe I just read an 800-page contemporary romance.
