I received an ARC thanks a Goodreads giveaway.
While I admire new fantasy authors and those willing to try something different, this one didn't work for me. The idea was good, but personally I didn't really engage with the concept as delivered or the individuals involved which made me struggled throughout this.

I really liked this book. I found it was a fantastic follow up in this series. You can tell that this book is building to something big. I love the development of Eric in this book and how it shows his growing maturity. Looking forward to the next one!

Purveyor of the imaginary and strange.
Creator of the World of Melarandra series, and plan to exist here for quite some time.
I live in Thunder Bay, ON Canada. It is the heart of the world, in my eyes. Lake to one side, little mountain range on another, Canadian Shield all around, and forest as far as the eye can see.
Married with children.
I love sitting around a fire with friends.
