Two strangers in Paris ...
One passionate, earth-shattering kiss.

He was the artist upstairs
with the tantalizing smile and laughing eyes.

He was the devil inviting me to sin,
seducing me to dance in the bright moonlight.

He was desire and need.

When he touched me, my body sang.
My soul came alive.

But I belonged to another man,
and he didn't want to let me go.

Mia Asher never ceases to amaze me with her stunning writing, real characters, and brilliant stories! Love Me in the Dark is a beautiful story with just the right amount of angst and all the feels! This book captivated me from the first page, and it didn’t let go. It’s one of those books I read cover to cover and loved every second. I have no doubt it will be on my favorites list for 2017!

When I read the blurb for this book, I knew I had to read it.
Two strangers in Paris ...
DNF@ 60%. Actually, I did finish it. I skimmed to the end.

Six reasons why I didn't like this book:

#1 I felt disconnected from the characters and the story. It felt like the story lacked details (at least in the first half). Some parts were great but most of the time I was bored. I just couldn’t get into the story.

#2 I didn’t like the heroine. She’s weak, needy, submissive and lacks confidence. I don’t like heroines with the martyr complex.

LOVE ME IN THE DARK is the highly anticipated STANDALONE contemporary romance by Mia Asher. Famed for her deliciously angsty love triangles, LOVE ME IN THE DARK marks a departure from that theme and see's Asher delve into her sublimely romantic, dreamy side. A side that took me on a passionate journey of love and hope with a beautiful topping of sexiness, a heroine who rediscovers her true self

From the moment I learned that Mia Asher was writing a new book, I had been anxious to get my hands on it. A solid read! I've never read anything by this author before and I thought the writing was beautiful. I didn't love it as much as I thought I would. I felt like certain characters did obscenely naughty things just so I could justify hating them. Like, here's a bad guy - hate him. :D Overall, I enjoyed this read! <3

First of all, before I start on my review I would just like everybody to please take a moment to admire the cover of this book. HOLY MOLY. HOT OR WHAT? Ok, now that I cleaned up my drool I can continue…This book was phenomenal. I absolutely loved every beautifully written word. I was invested in the story from start to finish. Overall Opinion: Hmmm...I slept on this, because I had no idea where to even start to be honest. I know a lot of my GR friends loved this, so I'm really disappointed that I didn't love it too. I was really sucked in and digging the story until we get the h's husband's POV. Do you ever get that stomach dropping sensation and not in a good way when reading? I got it here. It wasn't something I was really expecting, and tbh I think a lot of the villainous things the h's husband did were to

I know when reading a Mia Asher book I have to be prepared for an emotional epic read. One that digs into the heart and slowly and masterfully exposes joy, sadness, love, loss and angst. Love Me in the Dark took me on an emotional rollercoaster of how second chance romance can blossom even in the deepest mixture of turmoil, desire, passion and doubt.

Valentina Fitzpatrick loves to a fault.

When I first read the blurb to this story I thought to myself: This book is going to chew you up and spit you out with your emotions laying hazardous on the floor. I was ready for those kind of emotions and quite frankly, I CRAVED it more than you will ever know. “Love Me In the Dark” was a sweet, touching story about finding love again when you least expected it.

Valentina has been married for twelve years to a husband that simply adores her. Like any marriage, they’ve certainly had their ups

God where do I start. I hate cheating, despise it. However I am torn on what exactly Valentina really did in this book. There is cheating in this book, but to me, it wasn't Valentina that did it. Yes some emotions were involved but....

First thing first, I've hated a lot of characters in books over the years, but I don't know if I have hated a character as much as I hated William Fitzpatrick. A disgusting pig. Seriously a wicked, evil, sick ass that deserves everything he gets. If only he could

Valentina has been married to William for 14 years. But after she caught him cheating last year, things have been difficult. She didn't leave him then, because she loves him too much. She doesn't know anything other than being his wife. That has been her job ever since they got married.
But maybe she should have left?
Now she's in Paris to get away from things for a bit. To maybe think about starting her life anew - on her own.

Enter Sébastien.

First of all, I want to apologize because I'm not giving my summary of the plot. This is some book you need to start blindly. I'm afraid that anything I would share with you could be spoilery, so I'm sealing my lips.

This started out really good. I loved the concept of two people meeting in the beautiful city of Paris. ✨ I loved Sebastien and he was every bit of alpha male that I was craving. Valentina was okay. Nothing special about her. She was so gullible and weak, and I was just face palming 🤦🏻‍♀️ every time she just kept giving William the benefit of the doubt.

In the beginning, I was actually liking where the story was going. I thought, "Wow! A story where a married couple is actually having ge

So, the main reason I'm giving this 2.5 stars, is because I did a LOT of skimming. The beginning hooked me in, and I loved the Paris backdrop, but I just kind of lost interest at the half way point.
