Excellent addition to the series!
Well-written, fast series of stories adding depth to the characters from the Geneva Projects world. These backstories add greater understanding to to the series' characters' motivations as adults. The post-disaster world the children live in is so vividly described. Each story is a testament to the power of love and friendship over loss and hardship.

"I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own."
The Geneva Project Prequels Collection is a series of short stories set in the aftermath of a destructive flood. One so life altering that society completely changed. Orphaned children were put into a sytem where they spend each day working flood recovery. They have been stripped of names and are only Jane's or John's with an identifying number. All but one story focuses on a child or a pair of children and they tie in together nicely. Christina Benjamin did a beautiful job with each of these tales.
I loved it. I immediately downloaded Truth, the first book of the Geneva Project. After reading these prequels I need to know more! This is a quick, delightful read. I read the prequels with tears in my eyes for the majority of the book. The children hit such a note with me. Children are so precious and their emotions so pure and unfiltered. Each was so innocent in their own way. The love they had for each other and their pain touched me. Each had suffered such loss. Then they were put into this uncaring, horrible facility. They were shown no love or kindness inside the walls. Then to have their names taken away after they had lost their families, homes, their former lives seemed like the final attempt to lessen their humanity. Yet they perservered. They found a special friend, someone to care for. I found their ties to one another to be the ultimate survivor stories.
