Say Yes to the Scot: A Highland Wedding Box Set by Lecia Cornwall, Anna Harrington, May McGoldrick, Sabrina York is a 2017 Swerve publication.

The right historical romance combination at just the right time!

Some of my book buddies, and review or blog followers, have probably wondered why I have been reading far fewer historical romance novels this year.

There are many reasons, and I won’t get into all of them here, but I have been on a romance novel diet, in general, for some months, but that i

'Say Yes to the Scot' is a box set with 4 different stories with a total of 410 pages long. I not sure how you could go wrong with this box set! It's the collection of some of the best authors for Historical Romance. Also it is a great way to meet new authors....this gives you a taste of their writing style. I always love box set too for when I need a quick romance fix while waiting for an appointment or for a quick book for bed.

Four of my favorite authors provided works for this anthology – so, it is only natural that I LOVE it.

This tale is loosely (very loosely) based on the Princess and the Pea fairytale. Laird Alex Munro of Culmore has to find a wife in five weeks or break a generations long pact. However, the ‘Pea’ is missing and they must have the ‘Pea’ which is the official engagement ring. Not only is the Pea missing, but the neighboring

I give it more 3.5* than 4*

Well, speaking about all set of stories,I was not disappointed, because I expected to like one stories more than the others.

I really enjoyed reading this retelling of The Princess and The Pea. It definitely reminded me of a fairy-tale for adults. I loved that the main female character was strong and independent, also she wasn't afraid to show her feeling

As reviewed at Roses Are Blue:

SAY YES TO THE SCOT is a quality collection of four novellas. Each story held a different appeal for me, but they are all well written and very enjoyable. I don’t think I can choose one favorite from the bunch, so I recommend them all!

It’s been a while since I indulged in box sets or anthologies: it is simply a sheer volume/time required equation that with all I read and review, doesn’t always work out. But, I love highlanders, have read titles from 2 of these 4 authors, and the premise with guaranteed HEA’s after plenty of different issues sang out to me. Each story is unique in its premise: from debts to curses: each couple is put through a bit of a wringer before sense and love take over.

I’ve been on a Highlander kick recently (I’ll blame it on Outlander withdrawal). Four authors put their spin on this classic romantic character type in the new collection Say Yes to the Scot: A Highland Wedding Box Set. Each story showcases all the stubborn, proud and slightly possessive qualities we all find so incredibly swoon-worthy.

So unusual that all 4 novellas in this book are 5 stars. I loved them all! I will not write too much as I do not like to spoil the stories.

Lecia Cornwall's "How a Lass Weds a Highlander" continues her standalone fairy tale novellas with a Princess and the Pea story. I have enjoyed all of them. According to legend, Alex Munro has 5 weeks to Midsummer's Eve to find, fall in love with and marry a bride with the fairy ring to restore the clan's luck, which has not been good lately. This was a highly entertaining read by lots of my favorite authors: Lecia Cornwall, Anna Harrington, May McGoldrick and Sabrina York. This box set is really a good value for those who love thos wicked Highlanders.
I think that I liked May McGodrick's "A Midsummer Wedding" the best. The characters were well developed with an intriguing story line. Alex and Elizabeth have been bethrothed since they were children. She thinks Alex is a highland barbarian and not suited to her tastes in men. He thinks

I received this book from net galley for an honest review. Thank you!!

I enjoyed each of the novellas in this book. I have read books by each of the authors and they all did not disappoint!! Each story is unique, but they all involve Scottish males falling in love. Each has is own story, some discovering love and some rekindling love. Each author has her own writing style, but they mesh well together. They all contain romance, and a mix of action and adventure. This is a rare book in that it has four novellas inside and I actually enjoyed all of them! In general, novellas are not my thing. They try to shove too much into too little of a space, and things just get too rushed. Happily, each of these short stories are enjoyable and are just the right length to leave me satisfied. Below I have written some small reviews of each:

This lovely magical collection has us as readers hearing a beautiful celtic flute in the background playing a plaintive melody as the words on the page evoke the smell of heather fields, wood smoke and the touch of tartan plaid wool against our cheek. Each story brought something special found in an historical romance set in Scotland. The heroes are brave and true. The lasses are smart, feisty and each beautiful in the eyes of her beloved. If you love tales of romance with a Scot, this book is for you. It includes four stories that make you fall in love with the rugged, kilt wearing heroes. They have to work hard to capture and wed their true loves and I for one enjoyed their courtship. One of the good things that come from reading a boxed set is finding new authors. This set included 2 authors who are new to me along with 2 authors who are well known to me.
Lecia Cornwall is new to me but her story How A Lass Wed a Highlander was a delightful take on the Princess and the Pea with a bit of The Bachelor thrown in. The heroine is supposed to be a prisoner but she is so friendly and helpful that no one can resist her - including the Laird who must marry on Midsummer's Eve. How can

Say Yes To The Scot is a collection of 4 stories in one book. All of these stories were well-written and a nice smooth read. Each book is a standalone, not a cliff-hanger. Each story is a fairly short read, a great choice for those with limited time for reading.

How A Lass Wed A Highlander by Lecia Cornwall is the story of Alex and Cait. The characters in this story are phenomenal. There's plenty of action, drama and suspense along with a bit of spice. This was my first book by Lecia Cornwall. I

What a fun collection of novellas.

How A Lass Wed A Highlander, by Lecia Cornwall, is a retelling of The Princess & the Pea, where a highland lord has a short time left to fall in love and marry, or he’ll lose his clan’s luck forever. When he ‘captures’ a woman he believes is from a rival clan, he’s determined to ignore his attraction to her. Meanwhile, she’s winning over the castle staff (and him) with her sewing abilities and charm.

Oh Yes! Say Yes! ___ 4.5 stars

A great collection of historical highlander novellas that combine to make an arresting and oftentimes humorous read.

Opening story is an enchanted love story complete with a heroine who is always becoming lost and a hero who has hard choices to make. A cleverly enticing story somewhere between A Midsummer's Night Dream and Outlander without the time travel.

A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER by Anna Harrington

You know the saying "You had me at HELLO.", right? Well, this anthology had me at Lecia, Anna, May and Sabrina, not to mention SCOT!

All four stories are well written and each was unique in its own way. And the steam level in all four is way up there! For hot and sensual, this is the read not be missed.

From Lecia we were introduced to an interesting take on Princess and the Pea and if you love your romance to have a heart, sensuality and intrigue, you'll fall in love with Cait and Alex.

This book consists of 4 novella's by well-known authors that write Scottish romance novels. I have read books b all the authors previously. This anthology is a terrific book. Each story is a 5 star read.
Each author presents a couple who are destined to be together. And each author has created a world populated with Scottish men who are heroic and wonderful and all the heroines are lovely but also strong and powerful.
I am not sure if I were forced to pick, I could select my favorite story. There are relationships which are brand new. There are relationships which began long ago and are now on a new and lovely path. Most of all there
