Sometimes we don't understand why we react the way we do...It is like we think we are a certain way... and it is set in stone. If we think we aren't worth happiness or we are an accident waiting to happen...Then there can't be any way someone could love us... and if they did... We would only hurt them in the end...Smartest thing would be to push them away, right...

Well, that was the reasoning Will had when he pushed Tori away all those y

Bridges to mend, hearts to heal...

Years ago, Tori had left with her heart broken, believing she would never go back. Never say never though because she was going back. She’d help build the company she was returning to but knew she would not be welcomed by everyone.

“...no one is ever going to fully love you or put you first, and you might as well accept it rather than get hurt a million times.”

Will held a grudge and that was very plain to see as loyalties were questioned and sides taken. It was

I did not connect with this book at all.

Will and Tori have a past. Tori tells him she loves him. Will takes off immediately and marries a lingerie model. When he returns with said model, Tori is gone. He is really ticked off because she left. Huh?!

Will is now divorced and working full time at Mile High Adventures. Always the good time fun guy and used to not dealing with his feelings, he comes to a crossroads and needs to decide which road to take.

Tori has many emotional and psychological issu

3.5/5. I never thought, I would criticise a book for being too angst-filled, but this one is packed to the brim with indecisions and emotional ping-ponging between the protagonists that just take the melodramatics to another level. The constant alternating Take A Chance on Me stance versus the I'm Outta Here Because I Don't Deserve You stance by both got a bit tiresome after the 5th role switch. I don't get the heroine's need to torture herself by insisting on psycho-analysing the past with the ...more

Loved this story!! Will has always been the Mile High guy I enjoyed the most and after read his story I can honestly say he is definitely my favorite. He always seems lighthearted and carefree but there is much more to him than we know. When Tori Appleby comes crashing back into his life the wounds of his past are reopened and painful. It becomes clear real fast that Tori and Will need to deal with their past so they can work peacefully together. Their story is filled with angst and a lot of mis ...more

Want You More isn't my first Nicole Helm book, but it was the first I've read in her Mile High Romance series. (It worked fine on its own--there are mild spoilers for the first two books, reading this one ahead of them, but there's nothing you need to have found out in books one or two that you don't find out here too.) It felt different from the other books I've read by Ms. Helm--heavier, angstier, less light-hearted fun, on the whole--and in the beginning I wasn't too sure about it, because bo ...more

Will Evans and Tori Appleby were best friends until Tori told Will she was in love with him. Both went their separate ways with Will marrying someone else and Tori leaving town, but now she's back and they're working together. Will Tori and Will ever be able to get their friendship back to where it was, or will the pair walk away from their shot at happy ever after?

What a fascinating read Ms. Helm has delivered in this book in the way it was filled with plenty of tension between the characters;

I read the first three Mile High Romance books in succession. The fourth was released while I was reading these so haven’t had a chance to review them yet. I really enjoyed the series overall. The setting made me want to hop a plane and spend time at the fictional resort in Colorado. Each story can be read alone, though they work better together in order – and it’s such enjoyable series why not read each one. And even though she wrote each one as a standalone there’s not too much rehashing of pr ...more

**I received an ARC of this book courtesy of Net Galley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own and given freely.**

I feel like this story was a long time coming. We know there’s some dirt when it comes to Tori and Will from the very first book in this series, Need You Now. Then Tori shows up out of the blue in the next book, Mess With Me. So we’re finally finding out what happened between the two of them all those years ago. And getting to know Tori since she wasn’t involved activel

This is the third book in the Mile High Romance series and at a stretch I would say this could be read as a standalone. I had not read any of the previous books in the series and I was lost at the beginning of the book. I would therefore suggest this is a series that needs reading in order.

Will and Tori were the best of friends but when it developed to more for Tori she confesses she loves Will. His response was to leave town and marry a model. Rejected and dejected, Tori also leaves town and h

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

This is the first book in the series so I did not know much about the other couples and will probably read the first two books as their stories sound interesting but I found that the book worked well as a stand alone if you had not read the other books.

This book is very emotional and at times, you just feel the anguish that Tori and Will felt as they tried to deal with the aftermath of their friendship falling apart. First off, I really hated Will f

In “Want You More”, Nicole Helm’s troubled and conflicted characters involve the reader in their inner turmoil . The easy going and superficial brother – Will – proves that he has layers, complexity and lots of baggage too, just like the heroine, Tori.
Tori is not the average heroine – tall, thin, beautiful – and she’s a great realistic character. “Tall and broad and bearded and gorgeous” Will isn’t the shallow person he seem

Want You More by Nicole Helm has picturesque if rugged landscape that is so vividly described that you feel as if you too are in the Rocky Mountain town. That is one of the highlights of this third book in the Mile High Adventure Series. Will Evans and Tori Appleby have a second chance if they can get past the defenses both have built-up.

This well constructed story has plenty of drama and angst as Will and Tori navigate the precarious journey towards a lasting love. Because of their past they ar

Received this book thru a Goodreads giveaway, in exchange for my honest review.

This author was a first time read for me. I understand there are more books in this series. For me it was an okay read. I felt like I kept waiting for some huge reveal over why these two adults were so angry with each other. It was maddening at times and sweet at others. I think I liked some of the secondary characters better than these two.

How could Will not handle Tori saying she was in love with him, but end up lea

I have mixed feeling about the latest book in the Mile High Romance series. I have enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one , just didn’t engage me.
Will Evan and Tory Appleby were best friends years ago and along with Sam and Brandon, the four of them had visions of a business offering adventure guided tours in Gracely.
When Tory declared she loved Will, the friendship disintegrated and Tory disappeared. Now she is in Gracely as the new guide of the business they had all envisioned

Second chance romances are my favorite. Being told someone loves you can be scary, but when Will leaves things unanswered Tori decides she's unworthy of love. Young men just aren't emotionally ready but Tori has her own truckload of baggage to work around. I can understand why their story needed to move slowly but it tried my patience many times. The tug and pull of emotions, teasing, arguing and pokes broke down to a teenage relationship sometimes. I hadn't read the other books for Brandon or S ...more

A second chance romance between two former best friends who have spent years apart.

I liked the romance aspect of the plot. However, it was really interesting to uncover the story of what makes Will and Tori who they are when they meet again after 7 years apart. They are both hurting and have hard pasts to overcome.

The characters are interesting, but it did take me a bit to warm up to Will.

Want You More is the third book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. After finishing this book, t

4.5 stars - So good! I love friends to lovers romances and when there's a second chance element, I'm somehow even more invested - rooting for the relationship to really make it this time around. Nicole Helm has such a great grip on these characters. She writes them well and makes them real for me. Tori and Will wrestle with a fear of loving and being loved that causes them to pull away and run. What they ultimately learn is that confronting the scary things and then standing still for the recoil ...more

When Tori entered Gracely,CO, she fell in love. I had the same reaction when I visited Silverton, CO so was able to relate to her right away.

Will and Tori have a history that they have kept to themselves for years. Being in close proximity to each other forces their inevitable showdown with each other. Their sparks were flying instantly and I was loving their reactions to each other.

The supporting characters was fantastic and I am looking forward to going back to read their stories. I recommend

A good story with a happy ending. I found myself annoyed by the characters a few times. The first half of the book I was annoyed by Will, then the last half it switched to me being annoyed by Tori. I wasn't annoyed enough to stop reading at any point. I think the only thing really preventing me from giving it a higher rating was the abrupt shift about half way through. Other than that I enjoyed the supporting characters, particularly Skeet. I have not read the other two stories available in this ...more

Excellent! Everyone deserves a second chance & Will & Tori sure do get thier chance during this fun, sexy & invigorating story!!! So much tension & chemistry between these two that every scene feels like an automatic combustion of some sorts! I really enjoyed watching these two poor souls twist & turn with a boatload of issues to overcome before getting their HEA & wonderfully sweet epilogue! Another true great piece of work from Nicole which I’ve come to expect from her! ...more

I received an ARC of this book thru a Goodreads Giveaway. Since it was third in a series I got the first 2 books to read first. Since there is a lot of crossover of characters and background stories I was glad I did. These were the first books I had read by Nicole Helm. Her writing style reminded me of Jill Shalvis and I do enjoy that voice. The setting of a mountain adventure company is also fun, tho a bit more guide trips would have been interesting. And I just checked, there is a 4th book in ...more

This is a great series and I was so excited to read Will' s story. Once best friends, Will and Tori can't stand each other now. As old heart aches come to light they have to decide if they will stay and fight or give up altogether.

I loved Will! His determination and strength after were amazing. My heart broke for Tori and her sad past. Overall, a fantastic story! Plus we get to spend time with Brandon and Lilly, Sam and Hayley. Another great addition to this series!

Dude, he broke heart..The ridiculousness of their banterine drove me crazy..sorry folks but if you know me, you know I do not enjoy giving bad reviews but I dont want you to waste your time, I am saving you..

Will Evans made a bad choice in choosing his bride, they are now divorced. Tori has always felt that she came second starting with her family, who chose her mentally ill brother over her. Seven years ago Tori told Will that she loved him. The next thing she knew he had married Courtney. She is now back working with Will, Brandon and Sam but is leery about working with Will due to their past history. How they come to terms with their past relationship and move on is interesting.

I always think it's funny when someone tells another that they love them, but the other rejects them. Then sometime later they realize that they do love them too so they try to make them rekindle their old feelings right now. That's pretty much Tori and Will's predicament. Want You More, is a great second chance romance with the added bonus of the great outdoors.

It was a good book that i enjoyed reading expect in some parts there was too much whining involved.
These two need some serious slaps in the face to make them return to reality. Will and Tori are the main characters in this book. A nice read for any and all book lovers.
