This would be appropriate to read aloud to children or give them to read on their own. I'm not a parent or elementary school teacher, so I'm not sure exactly what age it's meant for, but younger than when you'd start teaching the Holocaust as it skirted around that gently. Some lovely stories and inspirations from Heschel's life. (Not enough info for an adult, and does not cover his adult years much.)
