This is a popular Marvel series, Guardians of the Galaxy. It mirrors the movie released in 2014.

The graphic novel format will challenge readers as they follow text bubbles across and down pages. There is a lot of back and forth dialog. The illustrations are deep, dark tones, sometimes making it difficult to figure out what is going on.

Nevertheless, Guardians fans will want to check this book out--regardless of their level of reading.

A good choice for GN collections.

Lovers of the “Guardians” franchise will love this book. (Although it was difficult to replicate Yondu’s whistle!)

- I like the cartoony look, but I kinda wish it was less cartoony.

- Pretty sure this is a series for kids. Oh well, I'm still enjoying it.

- Is this based on a cartoon from the Disney channel?

- The story picks up sometime after the movie. I love that it ties in.

- The little Lego thing at the end was fun. I have no idea what was happening, but it was fun.

I was disappointed in this comic. It seems computer generated and later I learned it is based on the cartoon almost panel for panel.
