Looking for love, Moriel Reis finds it—but why here?
A professional teacher by day, Moriel learns that students can sometimes be the best teachers. Eighteen-year-old Scott Cooper and Itsuma Karter, two of his students share similar interests—including lust for each other. Emotions flare when Itsuma challenges “Mr. Reis’s” authority.
After Moriel harshly disciplines Itsuma in front of the entire class, the young student vows to regain a piece of his wounded pride back. Torn by loyalty for his smoldering friend and classmate, Scott Cooper watches his homeroom teacher with dreamy, lust-filled eyes.
The heated conflict begins a fiery battle between Itsuma and his teacher. As this passion translation becomes a lustful tale, a surprising ‘hot for teacher’ story becomes a love affair, and a passionate adventure.
This out of the ordinary exploration for the two students allows them entrance into a world of erotic confessions, taking them on a journey into the velvet art of seduction that begins when the fighting ends. But as their taboo sexual persuasions beckon for something more, in lies the question… do two wrongs make a right?

This is one book that you should not judge by the cover.
Seducing Sensei is an erotic novel of a male teacher that enters into a relationship with two male best friends that happen to be his students. The story is unique, humorous and a whole lot on the naughty side. The story is a light read that is well written with a plot that moves a fast pace yet doesn’t feel fast.
A few things I didn’t like about the book: Initially seeing the cover, I would not have picked the book up – it was not appealing at all. However, I decided to go ahead and give the book a try. I would definitely say don’t judge this book by the cover. The book was really good compared to the “cheesy” cover. The other thing I didn’t care for in the book was how the characters didn’t seem “real”. It is not realistic that a teacher would let a student get away with the things that Mori let them do. In addition, they seemed to meet and then be “in love” within a very short period of time. I could see having strong feelings for someone, but not to the love part yet. However, this did not take away from my reading of the book or thinking the book was good. These are my personal opinions that I think bring the book down just a smidgeon.
Overall this book was a unique read with humor and a taboo subject. This was the first book by S.N. McKibben that I have read. I would be willing to read more books by this author as they are unique and not your usual reads. If you want a book that is a light read with a taboo subject and lots of erotica, then this is the book for you.
Not sure why so many (considering it is only like 6 reviews) are offended/disturbed by this book. The blurb let me know it was erotica so I knew what to expect. In my case I prefer mm so I had checked, again in the description. So I knew what I was walking into. What I did not expect was the secondary (and more important to me) story. The teacher is only 23, the others 18. So, there is a lack of life experience and the way it is handled is brilliant. This was unusual in that there is a more family oriented recommendation in the story (you will see what I mean when you get there, near the end) rather than a fast and clean cut solution. There are real feelings mixed in with the sex (which is good) and this is a somewhat complex story. I came for the sex and I got more. Please be aware triggers for physical abuse and rape.
I simply loved this book. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. The complex relationships between the characters and their struggles with past hurts, family expectations and difficulties completely held my attention. My only complaint is I want more. The book ended before I wanted to let these marvellous characters go. An excellent brook.
Stephanie McKibben is known for writing about social taboos. She often models the main characters in her stories after real people. Taking a fraction of their life and twisting it helps her visualize what the character would do next in her novel, or how they would react in a situation. As an author, she also rereads her stories to see if the focus needs to go a different route.
I find it hard to read a book that takes a serious subject, and then flippantly makes it entertaining so it seems acceptable. It is very poor taste for teachers, or substitute teachers, to enter a relationship with a student. With reading Seducing Sensei, I was unsure if Stephanie wrote this controversial book to show awareness, or to just put it out there to stand on its own. Or even to reveal a fantasy that could happen between a teacher and student.
Seducing Sensei by Stephanie McKibben is the first book in her Notice me Senpai series. The word "seducing" should have tipped me off to the nature of the novel but I can be a bit dense at times. I'm not above a little erotica but this is my first homosexual, male or female, erotica. I'll freely admit I am a bit out of my comfort zone. Not because I take issue with this as a social taboo but because I've never held an interest in the subject matter.
The novel is provocative not only in that it delves into the homosexual aspect but also into teacher/student relationship taboo. Scott and Itsuma are perfectly legal 18 year old high school students, which makes Mr. Reis a predator the second he has sexual contact with either boy. 18 is only legal when you're not in a position of authority over them. Can we all agree that Mary Kay Letourneao banging a 6th grader was wrong on all levels? I'm no prude but I'm sorry, so is this.
Now, if you can get past that sleaze factor, one could say that the erotic scenes are elaborately descriptive and hot, even from a heterosexual viewpoint. You COULD say that but only if you like a little abuse in your kink. I mean everyone in this story is either in an abusive relationship, recovering from one, or doling out the abuse themselves. For me, there is too much of that surrounding everything to really get into the erotica. This could have been a great abuse survivor story or a good erotica story but the mix fell deflatingly flat.
I bought this book seduced by its title into imagining a love story, set in the picturesque water gardens of Japan, with perhaps a smidgen of erotic content. I could not have been more wrong! There is a love story, but it is between three young men. The content is graphic to say the least and I was shocked to discover that the author is a woman. There is not a sexual encounter that goes unreported and, frankly, for me it was all too much information. As a teacher, I was also shocked that the protagonist has no hesitation about engaging in sexual relationships with two of his students. This is an absolutely no-go area yet even the principal seems to have no problem with it.
