Perfect Criminal Short Story!
This is the classic short story with not one extra word! It is a wonderful holiday vignette set in a roadside bar during an ice-out storm. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to share my honest review.

This is a prequel to The Cupid Caper. This prequel gives the introduction of Finley Goodhart who is a con artist who ends up at The Pin'N a Poke tiny roadhouse because of icy weather and is the middle of a murder and interesting people. This was a very easy read that gave me enough information to read the next book about Finley Goodhart.

“Pig ‘N a Poke” earns 5/5 Roadhouses and Storms…Loads of Fun!

Roadside bar? Ice storm? Murder? What a fun short story! Larissa Reinhart, a favorite author, penned a marvelously entertaining short with Finley Goodhart who uses her own criminal past to turn the tables on criminals. Clever plot, not short on details and description, along with a bit of a giggle, wonderful characters, and smart banter. Become a fan of Larissa by signing up for her newsletter and get this short as a treat. And what a

A great mystery short. A character who is a perfect blend of the best parts of her parents. A well structured tightly written mystery with an extremely satisfying ending.

Finley runs into quite a situation. Each of the people found in the restaurant are an interesting story.

This is a prequel to the Finley Goodhart Crime Caper series. It's a short story with previews to several of the books in the series. Finley has "borrowed" Lex's Camaro to head out of Atlanta and set things straight that she has messed up in the past. Stranded in a bar she stumbles into a murder and a ring of thieves. This introduces Finley and her intentions to put her criminal past behind her and use her skills to help people. Good short story. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a ...more

This short story is a great quick read. It pulls you in and makes you wonder if there might be more stories coming about Finley Goodhart. It's a little different from the usual cozy mystery reads. The heroine, Finley, has a shady past, but seems to wants to make amends for it. I'm curious about what lead up to her current status, her family, ex-boyfriend, etc. Looking forward to reading another of her adventures. Great job Larissa!

Pig'n A Poke introduces Finley who is sure to be as popular Maizie Albright and Cherry Tucker from Larissa Reinhart's other two series. As Finley flies down the road in an absconded Camaro, she has no idea she's going from the frying pan into the fire in the midst of a snowstorm! Death and danger await her in this introduction to The Cupid Caper. She's a con artist with a possible interest in going straight -- possible. I look forward to seeing more of Finley. You will too!

Good little short story to hook you into Finley Goodheart series. You will want to read more and the Cupid Caper is set to come out soon in 2018.

Finley's escape from Lex in his Camaro lands her in a tiny roadhouse, Pig'N a Poke. She comes to some life decisions while trying to figure out what to do about the dead guy in the walk-in freezer.

Looking forward to the upcoming full novel to really start this series.

I loved this prequel to the Finley Goodhart Crime Caper series! There was suspense and danger with Finley struggling to solve the murder before she became the next victim. It was a fun read and now I want to read more books in the series. I received the book free but my review is entirely voluntary.

Another very short but enjoyable mystery. Who killed the owner of Pig'n a Pke roadhouse and why was there money stashed in the ladies restroom? Having a criminal mind herself (but trying to go straight), Finley is determined to get to the bottom of this--using unorthodox ways! Will she be able to figure it out? ead this novella to find out--you won't guess who did it!

That was one of the fastest books I have ever read - don't include the kid's books I read **years ago.
Finley drug me along with her on her way to expose the murderer. The story was short but very concise in its portrayal of all the characters.
