I actually wouldn’t recommend you to read this book unless you’re at the intermediate level of the Latte Art process. Thank god I know how to froth milk cuz this book doesn’t show you anything about frothing milk or extracting espresso, he does show you how to draw the art but not in an easy way therefore, you’ll have to go back to YT to know the basic technique of drawing the desired art.
Each page is busy as fudge coated with marshmallow swirls. The author knows what he’s doing with latte art but brought his design skills to a medium where it doesn’t gel.
The text is hard to read and the minute you open the book your eyes are assaulted with information. Great art for a latte but not for reading or conveying information or teaching.
This book needs to be bigger in both size and layout. It hurts my head reading it and I got through it by looking at the pictures but not the words. The pictures themselves are great but are laid out sprawlingly and disorderly. Don’t like it. Don’t recommend unless you like a headache making sense of things for you.
My husband loves this stuff. He's watched videos but said this actually helped him learn coffee art better than the many videos he has watched. It's just a fun hobby for him but he enjoyed the book.
