3 Smexy Tiger Stars!

Gosh, both of these shifters description are simply fab!

I really, liked this world, it just needed more pages to allow for a fabulous build.

I liked that this is a cute and easy to read with no angst.

I really liked the description aspect of this book, it was kind of magical.

And the writing style is good, but...

This is really really short, and reads really fast, and it was fun. I loved him (view spoiler) The relationship dynamics IMO was not pe

This story was just okay. I get that it's a novella, and so the story has to move along quickly, but things just happened way too fast, and there wasn't enough context to satisfy me. Worse still, I didn't like the relationship dynamic either. *scrunches her nose* Oh well, on to the next book! ...more

This extremely short story is Sean Michael at his best. I just wish it was longer.

Of the paranormal romance books I've read by this author so far, Royal Line is probably my favorite. It's got a good setup, pretty strong main characters, and is hot and sexy to boot. There's only a small bit of tension and drama when it comes to the boss at headquarters, but other than that the story is focused on Grio helping Phoenix understand who and what he is, and also helping him learn how to shift.

The chemistry between Grio and Phoenix is obvious without being overbearing, and the two of

The idea of shifters, in this case tigershifters, living among humans without knowing who they are is a little scary. The approach taken in this story focuses on this issue, and assumes a shifter can live his or her entire life without knowing what they are. If something triggers their shift, they might have a real “situation” on their hands – or paws, as the case may be. But there is an organization that tries to track them all down, which is especially important in the case of the almost extin ...more

Hearts on Fire Review

Original Review Published here:

Grio is a tiger shifter who works for the tiger shifting community working to find tigers who have no idea they are tigers and showing them who they are. The tiger community numbers are dwindling and all available males and females are needed to increase the population. His current assignment is to find Professor Phoenix Lamoure. It’s not until Grio sees Phoenix that he realizes who he really is.

I wanted more

Starting with what I liked, I thought that the interpersonal relationship between Phoenix and Grio was excellent. Phoenix was realistically suspicious and wary of Grio, even after "proof" was provided. Grio felt like his frustration was real and his reactions were genuine.

What I didn't care for its that there seemed to be a rather significant build up for an interesting plot that just fizzled out. Instead, the book ended rather abruptly without any significant conflict and all of th
