Starcrossed Dating Agency #2

The Dragon Claims His Treasure

Rate this book
“Stand up for yourself,” Rosamund’s best friend Talia said. “Don’t let anyone push you around,” Talia said.
Why didn’t she warn Rosamund that this didn’t apply to sexy, terrifying Kodran Sky-Reign, leader of a clan of alien dragon shifters? Unfortunately, when Rosamund mouthed off to Kodran, he apparently took it as a marriage proposal.
Next thing she knows, Rosamund’s being whisked away to Kodran’s home planet, with a fleet of wolf shifters in hot pursuit. And Kodran, determined to show Rosamund that he burns only for her, is blowing Rosamund’s mind with his out-of-this-world lovemaking techniques. But Kodran is hiding some deep, dark secrets, and worse, he may be on the wrong side of the brewing cyborg war. Rosamund has to decide where her loyalties lie, before this star-crossed romance goes supernova.

Georgette St. Clair writes hot, sexy romances starring Alpha heroes. The road to love may be rocky and fraught with peril (and humor and scorchtastic sex and healthy heapings of snark), but her shifters will stop at nothing to claim the women they love.

Georgette has worn many hats in life: newspaper reporter, EMT, internet marketer, cocktail waitress, temp, nurse’s aide (not in chronological order).

When she’s not rescuing fur-babies, she spends her days in a fantasy universe where she nudges her smart-mouthed, take-no-gruff heroines onto paths which will set them on a collision course with true love.

Rosamund didn't have a clue Aliens exsisted until a few months ago when her best friend mated one. Now Rosamund is working for the Starcrossed Dating Agency and she has been tasked with firing Dragon Shifter Kodran Sky-Reign from the agency, even though he is a client and leader of his own realm. The problem is, she doesn't speak Kodran's language and when runaway robot and teenage drama queen Dot-R helps translate it goes awry. Now she somehow has asked Kodran to marry her, she is on his ship, and he is intent on keeping her has his mate.

This is not my normal read but this was a hoot. I loved Dot-R, thought Rosamund was a quirky heroine and Kodran wants his mate. Had a few surprises and had me laughing out loud. Have to go back to th first one. Excellent.

The Dragon Claims His Treasure is the next book after The Vulfan’s True Mate. While it isn’t necessary to have read it before this one, since those characters make an appearance I would recommend reading it first. This one follows Rosamund, who is working on a different planet and she hates her job. She hates her boss, and especially the job of firing the scorching hot dragon who signed up looking to find his mate. But while their chemistry is off the charts, Rosamund can’t help but hate that she is being fed lies everywhere she turns. And she isn’t going to stop looking until she gets her answers.

I enjoyed this one much more than the first. There are no silly dramas and what dramas there are didn’t feel too convoluted. It was fun, mostly light, but in a few places heavy, but it was sweet and I really liked Rosamund and Kodran together. He was so sure of himself and them, but it never came across as too cocky. I would definitely recommend to fans of Georgette or anyone looking to escape to another planet for the afternoon.

There is a consistency with Georgette St. Clair books - you know exactly what you are getting into. If you are looking for something with depth, character development, certain sophistication, drama or anghst- then you will need to look elsewhere. Slightly ditzy, often cartoonish and occasionally farcical – this one features rebelious teenage female robot with sass attitude - and with pages and pages of gratuitous sex, Ms St. Clair books are never a brain-strain, as a matter of fact you can check out your brain on page 1 and just go with a flow. Soft, fluffy, over-sweet and gooey, they are, for me, an equivalent of fairy floss/cotton candy – to be endulged in on a rare occasion and in small doses.

Hidden beneath
The dating agency has another success with this story! I love how the author dropped us right into the thick of the action from the beginning, and how she didn’t abandon my favorite characters but brought them along for the ride. This couple certainly had their work cut out for them, but with snark and sass they beat back the bad guys. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end and can’t wait to read the next one.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Kodran, he's unbelievably sweet. He's not gruff and growly like some of the mates have been. He's really sweet and nice and has a huge heart. He's funny and yes a little arrogant and full of himself at first but arrogant in a charming way. He's recognized his heart's fire, but with his people its the female that comes forward to propose. He's also a client of the dating agency. Rosamund, Talia's friend is starting a new job at the dating agency. She's a bit timid and nervous and almost chickens out until she meets Dot-R....that was cute. Her own little teenage robot. Who is in a spot of trouble herself. Anyways, Dot-R accidentally mis-translates a conversation between Rosamund (who's supposed to fire said client Kodran) she proposes to him. So, he whisks her away. This is a very exciting read. Sweet too. Action wise we are dealing with a new species of the Cyborgs. Kodran is keeping things from Rosamund and she is determined to find out what. Will she succeed? When she finds out are they all doomed?

It is sad when an author, and her support team, doesn't care enough about a book to keep her characters straight. Referring to a wrong female character twice in one chapter is unforgivable, and just plain insulting to readers.

The dialog and writing were so much better in this book than the first one in the serious. Which means it will only gets better! I really enjoyed this book. My only problem was if Rosamund is Kodrans hearts fore then why can't he trust her with the truth and know that she wouldn't betray him, the soldier cyborgs and the Draell-nar. Especially since he thought she should just take him at his word and trust him. A little double standard. Still a good story though and ended happily.

alien dragon hero but not everyone knows

Great story line on this one. Again you take another trip of aliens sealing human mates this time it is dragons. His reluctant mate wants to believe but does not know how and he promised to keep secrets safe. It is a face paced story and it had me guessing what else is going to happen. Great characters and a quick read when you have a day of traveling! Enjoy.

You don't usually expect much other than escapism from a paranormal romance, but this book is actually laugh-out-loud funny, it has one of the best cyborg characters I've seen, some real suspense and mystery as well as a genuine heart. It is smutty, but there's a great story and good characters too.

The Dragon Claims His Treasure

Yet another good book in this series. Sci Fi Shifters, loving it. Lots of action, the sort that mates have and the other type, mortal enemies. All good, all relevant for a really good read. Only one more in this series unfortunately, enjoy, I am

Always good

I always enjoy this authors work. The hidden agenda that Kodran had was good. I liked that the heroine didn't just accept everything and was proactive. Off to the next bookj!

I liked it.

It was super funny with all the confusion and the teen bot. Very clever wordplay. The romance was a little forced in my opinion. Pleasant none the less.

While I liked book one more than this book #2, I am still looking forward to the next book #3.

Good sci Fi mix

This had a good sci Fi dragon shifter mix. I thought it was different but good. I can see where the h was coming from. Kind of hard to build a relationship with secrets.

The kind of short book to get you out of heavy reads and put a smile on your face at how sweet they are.

Be very careful about who you propose to. Because once it's out there, you can't take it back.
Rosamund learned this lesson the hard way. Her boss sent her to fire dragon shifter Kodran, but due to a faulty translation, they ended up engaged. That's a huge leap! And so not what she was trying to say.
The poor thing, she's still adjusting to the reality of paranormal beings. She is equally shaken every time she encounters Kodran. It's just something about him.. that leaves her unbalanced in his presence.
Kodran is a leader, so he has to be firm and tough. But with his mate, he is soft and cuddly. If only he could get her to agree that they belong together. She's so confusing!
I thought it was sweet. Kodran knew Rosamund was the woman for him and he patiently waited for her to pop the question. But he also had some secrets. And following the proposal, Rosamund got caught up in the crossfire of those secrets and it almost cost Kodran everything.
There's a lot going on in this book. Lots of scheming. Some lies and secrets. A couple love connections. Who's telling the truth?

What is not to love about dragons.
A good fun story with some hot dragons, rotten baddies and I am sad to say a few deaths.
A very enjoyable read that took us to a different planet and clan from the first book.
Rosamund is the best friend of Talia from book one.
Rosamund has loved dragons all her life and finding out three weeks prior that other planets and aliens existed and that dragons were one of the alien shifters, well she was really quite happy.
Seeing the hottest man ever across the room at a work function and then being sort of kidnapped by one was not quite what Rosamund had on her mind though.
Having been ordered by her boss to fire said hot dragon from the agency’s books, Rosamund is out shopping with the pretext of just bumping into said client.
What happens next was so funny and I loved the mix up that had Rosamund proposing. Hilarious.
I liked that Rosamund had her head screwed on and didn’t take what she was told at face value.
Really hope Sekari gets a long long time being treated worse than he treated the Draell-Nar.
I need to get me a Draell man as these guys love to cook.
Dot-R was a hoot. Pity we cannot get one.
This is my honest review of this book.

Georgette St. Clair brand of humour strikes again. The antics of the secondary characters left me in stitches. GSC's books always leave me feeling good and bonus that the sexy parts are super hot!

Wonderful Book

Everything I look for in a novella. Romance, bad guys, action, quirky side kicks, and an interesting hero and heroine made for one fun read. There was even a little sadness as the hero rights a wrong. And I love it when an author is not too squeamish to kill off a few bad guys. This is fantasy after all and I am a tad bloodthirsty when the bad guys are really bad. Great book!
