A general guide to angels that reads like a basic primer to angelology with historical examples of angels acting in and with the life of the Church (especially through the saints) and practical ways and prayers we can grow to adore and love God better through and with the examples of angels. It doesn't get too deep in any of these three areas but still gives enough to pique the reader's interest. Fr. Horgan then points the way to greater study in his abundant footnotes. In an area of Catholic study that is often neglected and misunderstood, "His Angels at Our Side" is a worthwhile starting point to angelology.
