COLORS OF THE WEST: An Artist's Guide to Nature's Palette is perhaps the most ingeniously orchestrated and designed art book I've ever experienced. I say experienced rather than "read" because it's an exquisite immersion into color and the natural world that leaves one transformed. I have no actual interest in being a watercolor (or other kind of) artist, but this book was so beautiful and full of treasures that I read it anyway.
