This book was a quick and easy read for me. Although it had a good theme to it and I really enjoyed it. It was one of those short sweet and to the point kind of books and I enjoyed it! The book is about a girl in high school, named Missy. She is a senior a senior in high school and is starting to have some feelings about it being her senior year. She starts second guessing herself about leaving her hometown in Tucker, NC to leave and attend college. This is a typical problem that many teens and seniors and high school could possibly face when they are ending their senior year. It could even be a situation I may end up facing in the future too. Missy's mom and teachers both agree that she indeed does go to attend college to continue her education. However, her Gramma and Uncle Tate think opposite of that. To add on to the situation, Missy becomes involved in a boy named John who she had been friends with. She has lots to deal with on her plate at this time and isn't sure what to do with all of the different opinions she is given and doesn't know what to do. What decision will Missy end up making? What will happen to her and John? If you want to find out, I suggest to read the book! The challenges Missy faces with in her life at this time are easily relatable and are everyday kind of things. I suggest this book to people who enjoy a book of romance but also life relating situations. I rated it a 3/5 only because some of the events the author had happen wasn't what I would have thought. But don't get me wrong it is still a really good book to read and I did enjoy it!
This novel is entertaining as well as informative as the main character focuses on doing her best on her work to have the future of her dreams. I really relate to the main character. She goes beyond at school and makes time to have a decent social life as well. She inspires me to go after goals I have planned for the future, but she also taught me that other obstacles can be just as important. The author did a fantastic job on the novel.
