On the run from an ex-lover bent on enslaving her, Cambrie runs to Snow Fur hoping this will be the last place she’ll have to hide. She takes a job as a stripper at the infamous Coyote Closet and is immediately entranced by bouncer Sydney Spring.
Sydney doesn’t date the dancers, but there’s something about Cambrie she can’t resist. Still, she attempts to fight that pull of attraction because she knows her jealous nature could be deadly to any patron who dares touch Cambrie.
However, an attempt on Cambrie’s life forces Sydney to get closer to the dancer to protect her. And the heat between them burns her while the passion consumes her. Is the sizzling sex and seductive dancer a ploy to distract Sydney and her pack from the deadly plans their enemies have for them? Or is Cambrie just what she seems—a damsel in distress bent on claiming Sydney’s heart?

I would love to read another book with just them again. Their Relationship was so amazing but also hot and cold lol. The sex was pretty good and the story was solid and interesting! Loved the back and forth between the lovers!
I did enjoy the story of Cambrie and Sydney. Although there were times where I didn’t quite support Sydney. Her distrust went on a little too long. She allowed the person that she loved to be tested time after time. She should have been stronger and more discerning than that.
I loved Samarra in the last book. In this one she gave me pause and some concern. How quickly she forgot how she met her mate, what her mate is, and how the bond showed her trust and love work. When it came to understanding that Sydney was basically on the same boat she couldn’t. And she tested and attacked another’s mate. Alpha or not, she would have never allowed anyone to touch her mate and I felt she went too far there. Cambrie was right at the time about Sydney’s allegiance and loyalty was not to her.
I am not sure where this relationship will lead in the future. But I am not as secure in it as I was with Samarra and Adalyn. Cambrie has a lot of power and is very powerful that I am not sure Sam will fully trust her. And this may cause problems with Sams and Sydney’s sister bond.
I love all Serenity Snow books. They are raw and rough just like I like my romance novels to be. I get tired of the gushy sweet novels and I for one am happy to find an author that caters to my taste in books.
Had me at the beginning the connection of the 2 main characters. Just a really good read. Trust was the main focus and I like how at the end it was finally there.
