This was an excellent suspenseful quick read! The hero, Adrian was first introduced as somewhat of a driver for Maxim in "Possess" - book 1 of The Syndicate: Crime and Passion. In "Conquer" his role has changed in 'The Syndicate. He is now an enforcer whose been task to "find out what she knows" by Maxim!
Love or betrayal are the choices Adrian has to decide in this fast-paced tale. For two years, Adrian been biding his time, quietly lingering, watching in the shadows, bugging her home- waiting but falling for her --- clever investigator, Samera aka Sam. One day, out of the blue, 'The Syndicate's Boss,' Maxim asked Adrian to do what's necessary for the crime syndicate. Will he betray Maxim or Sam who didn't know he exists until he calls out her name while she's walking back to work from lunch!
So if you love a romantic suspense with a lot of crime and passion then even more deception well do read Conquer!
I loved the instant connection that the two of them had. I missed the couple updates. There were no hints on the statuses of the other couples from the previous books. I would hope that this series continues, but since I am the late one reading this series as these have been published some time ago, I do not feel that my wish will be granted.
I love this book. Adrian is so in love with Sam. Has been for a couple of years. A little bit of action in here ,I.e. guns and death . It's mafia, go figure. A great possible ending to a awesome series, but I hope there is more. I do love my mafiya romance. Love Kaye Blue too.
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. Something was missing. I'm not sure what but it wasn't up to Me Blue's usual standards. The main characters didn't seen to connect really. But I'm still a fan. Just not so much of this book
Just enough drama to keep you turning the pages. The love scenes are short and clean. The characters are believable and romance there are some unexpected twist.
Like I always say the stories that this author writes is what I look forward to I sincerely hope this is not the end of this series and I can't wait for the next story!
