I received a early copy in exchange for a honest review. This is an amazing sequel to Forbidden Darkness. The story was fast paced with many twists. The writing was cohesive and straight to the point. I enjoyed the new characters which were introduced. Heather is a strong heroine who has a lot of sass and a take charge attitude. She shows how much she continues to develop as a character. Hayden was a new point of view. I liked reading his internal struggles with figuring out who he is. The endin ...more

Original review

First of all I want to thank Alec John Belle for giving me a beta copy of Shadow People, the second book in The Forbidden Darkenss Chronicles!

When I started reading Shadow People I could not not love it. The characters are just amazing and the story is fast paced and easy to read.
(I even finished Shadow People in one day!)

The story itself made me smile and laugh out loud. Those moments between Heather and Philip, oh God... You should've seen my face... And that one moment that th

This is the second in the Forbidden Darkness Chronicles by Alec John Belle. It stands okay on it's own but I felt like I was missing something not having read book one.
This is a fast paced story with quite a few plot twists, the characters are well developed and keep you turning the pages. It is written in first person alternating POV's.

The heroine in this story is Heather - she is a young woman with strong values and a kick ass take charge attitude, it was wonderful to see how she grew throug

First I have to say that I love this cover. Shadow people is the second book in the series Forbidden darkness. After the first book which we learn about Monster mostly. In this one we learn more about different Supernaturel. I remember having question that I wanted to be answered like who are Kadin and Hayden? In this book it will be answered. The story continue with Heather and Hayden Dual POV which I love! We get to know more Hayden and also we see more of Frostbite. I like the new character a ...more

Great job keeping the excitement

I love that I stayed interested throughout and am looking forward to the next book! Great story and great characters!
This is the second book in the series. I have not read the first book and was able to follow along fine. With one minor exception, which is either a cliff-hanger or something explained in book 1, nothing was difficult to understand without reading book 1.

This story is about a group of people who fight monsters to keep the world safe. Unfortunately for them they discover that what they thought they knew about the world isn’t all there is to the world. This discovery leads to them finding about an
