It's been so long since I've read a "perfect" harlequin novel and I'm super surprised that I did enjoy this more than I thought I would simply because Harlequin Special Editions isn't what I typically lean towards.

Without further rambling, let's discuss Romancing the Wallflower. Our resident heroine, Erin is a bookish kindergart
Welcome to Crimson, Colorado - just in time to read about the romance between kindergarten teacher Erin MacDonald and local brewery owner and her secret crush, ex-pro baseball player David McCay. They're two opposites in many ways, but they always say "Opposites attract" and that is certainly true in this story - even if there are many obstacles in the way for them! David's nephew, Rhett, is in Erin's class and when she learns Rhett is frightened and needs help, she volunteers to help David with ...more

This book follows Erin a kindergarten teacher who has had a crush on the brewmaster David for some time when the books begins. Erin makes a bold move to help David with his nephew who happens to be in her class this year.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The author does a great job creating the romance between Erin and David. You can tell when you are reading that they are somewhat both interested in each other, but also dealing with other personal issues that stops them from jumpi

Oh my goodness!! Where to start? I am moving to Crimson, Colorado. As always, Michelle Major delivers a stellar performance. This one introduces us to Erin, a teacher you would love for your own kids to have, and David, a former baseball star turned microbrewery owner, aka hottie. Major hottie. Erin is totally out of her league with him, which is ironic, because David is convinced he doesn't deserve her. The characters are well-developed and easy to relate to. The plot has you quickly turning pa ...more

A story about learning to trust, finding your courage to open up to love, and discovering there are second chances even for the troubled, dysfunctional families, and flawed people.
Erin MacDonald is like many of us, she loves to cuddle with a good book in her favorite PJs after a hectic day. She is a stellar kindergarten teacher, her dedication to the children and their success is admirable. She is an introvert who has challenged herself to be more, to go out there and be open and vulnerable, an

I used to read Harlequin romances like I was eating M&Ms. I LOVED those things and couldn’t get enough of them. While I don’t pick them up with the same enthusiasm, I will find a tempting story here or there. And I really was drawn in by the idea of Erin’s crush on David and his feeling like he’s not worthy. Major delivered on the blurb’s promise too :)

There’s a good amount of growth by both of them. Erin has spent a good portion of her life feeling … just ordinary. And sometimes

This was such a sweet book! I was really hooked at the end of chapter one—what a cliffhanger!

I tend to like dorky or plain heroines and Erin is someone I would like to be friends with. Her interaction with the hero’s nephew is especially nice to see. Sometimes her timidity is a little frustrating, but it’s nice to see her grow as a character—or maybe it’s that she starts to be herself more—throughout the book.

I especially liked how the hero fell in love with the heroine.

Erin McDonald is a very dedicated kindergarten teacher, and also very shy. So shy, that she would never make a move on any guy, much less than a super hot, ex MLB baseball player who is her secret crush, but one sentence out of her mouth shakes up her calm world in the best way. David McCay moved to the Colorado town to look after his sister, and nephew, after his baseball career went down the drain, and in one night, he ends up with his nephew by himself, and has no idea how to handle everythin ...more

I fall more and more in love with this place every time I visit. Michelle's words make me feel like I am write there in Crimson and I have known these people for most of my life. Erin had her heart crushed before and pretty much shut herself off when it comes to the romance department. One day she manages to muster enough courage to proposition David McCray an old crush of hers. When she realizes he's having a bit of trouble in his life taking care of his nephew shes there to help him out. Meanwhile David has his own set of issues in his life and he takes up caring for his young nephew whose mother is in rehab. Refusing to let his nephew go what he went though he accept ...more

A beautiful sweet read. I've only read one other book in the Crimson Colorado but each story is standalone so you dont need to read the others to fully enjoy this. And I really enjoyed this. I loved the characters Erin and David. And David's nephew Rhett is so adorable!

I absolutely loved Erin and David's building relationship and how it developed. Erin is a kindergarten teacher, Rhett's teacher and she helps both David and his nephew in a crisis. She has such a big heart and sees her

Romancing the Wallflower is a sweet romance with some very amusing moments (love what Erin has David listed as in her phone, LOL) alongside some very touching ones. The kids in this book...OMG, they just about ripped my heart out. So cute!

Both Erin and David had super-negative views of themselves--Erin as an undesirable, "invisible" person and David as a guy who's been letting those he loves down his whole life--which was understandable to a point (I get the invisibility, I do--I set my bangs

In an Oyster Shell – A sweet romance with a generous side of steamy.

The Pearls – This book is my favorite kind of story. A romance with an underdog main character who comes to fulfill their greatest potential. The two main characters had their things to overcome. Even though Erin thought she was average and David was out of her league, David comes with his inferiority complex. Having both characters work out their inferiority issues made for an interesting story.

Oh my goodness! This book!! This book is SO much more than a simple romance! This book truly has it all! With drugs, arrests, guardianship, getting clean, two families in disarray, and this is not even our main characters!

Normally I would get into my take on the synopsis of this book, but the blurb pretty much says it all. The characters are complex and quite frankly, wonderful. Erin self-worth seems to have taken a beating in the past, and doesn't think she is good enough to be "in David's lea

I was pleasantly surprised! Kindergarten teacher and former Baseball Player, can I say wow?! With first time reading Michelle Major, she captured my interest. Why can't the cardigan wearing school teacher get the sexy Baller?

When you become a teacher, you want your student to excel and to reach their goals. Erin MacDonald was an exceptional teacher. So when one of her students needed more guidance, she was there. David McKay moved to Crimson, Colorado when his career ended in the majors. With o

Words can't describe how much I loved and felt this story!!! Michelle Major had me hooked and laughing in the very first paragraph. I fell right into the story so hard and so fast. And I never wanted to leave.

The sizzling chemistry between kindergarten teacher Erin and hottie brewmaster David is SO SO fun!! I constantly found myself reading with a huge smile on my face. There interactions and camaraderie make them such a lovable couple. As they bonded over David's ne

I always enjoy my visits to Crimson, Colorado, in Michelle Major’s ongoing series. The latest, Romancing the Wallflower, is not exception. The characters are well developed, the conflict believable, and the story moves quickly. Erin and David are a believable couple that both have preconceived notions about themselves they need to overcome. In true hero / heroine fashion, they are able to do it together and become stronger because of it. If you need a quick escape to the mountains this is the pe

They come together to help his nephew adjust to his mom not being around and they fall in love.
The road to happiness is a bumpy road. I really enjoyed the way this book was written.

I rarely enjoy a Harlequin Special edition book any more as much as I liked this one. Bravo to Ms. Major because I felt that Erin could have be any one of us in real life! What I also loved about this story is that the romance was BUILT! David took the time to get to know her and romance her. That doesn't seem to happen anymore in romance stories, so 10 stars! Pick it up you won't regret it!
This was freaking adorable. I’m tumbling down the Harlequin rabbit hole again.

I know its part of a series, but I wish there was an epilogue.
