A super cute read. CONFESSIONS of a CARPOOL CAPTIVE was adorable and fun and really witty! I had some issues with the heroine, Liz at times but she redeemed herself in more ways than one. Finn was perfect in every way and I couldn't get enough of him and his loving nature. I was recommended this book by a friend and I'm so glad I took the leap of faith on jumped on this read. I loved all the characters in the book and all of the sub plot lines were really consuming. They really rounded out the s ...more

5 stars!!!

“Sometimes people paint themselves the shade they think they deserve and you have to dig deep to see their true color.”

I found Dawn L Chiletz in December with her quirky cover for The Fabulist and I adored that book. When I saw that she had another release I just had to 1click and dive in. Was ‘The Fabulist’ a one off or had I found another author that I just “clicked” with? I can honestly say, me and this author are going to have a

This is the second book I have read by Dawn Chiletz  (Can't You See was the first book) and Wow! Dawn Chiletz is truly an awesome writer. Confessions Of A Carpool Captive is funny and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Liz is the main character and she is shy and a true loner until her car breaks down and she has no choice but to carpool with a sexy extrovert. Then the carpool takes a turn and becomes  a 5 person adventure and then the shenanigans begin! Hold onto your seat belt and enjoy th

This is my first Dawn L. Chiletz book and it will not be my last. I met Dawn last October at a book signing and we hit it off, discussing books and movies and whatever else came to mind. The fact it has taken me 6 months to pick up one of her books makes me want to kick myself in the ass.

Anyway, on to the review, which is what you really want. I LOVED this book. I laughed--a lot. I cried--a little. I'm not even kidding when I say I'm pretty sure Dawn i

Confessions of a Carpool Captive by Dawn L Chiletz

This is only my second book by Chiletz and I'm seriously addicted to her characters and her brand of humor.

Confessions of a Carpool Captive is a delicious RomCom starring the truly introverted, queen of keeping people at length, and closet storyteller, Liz and the gorgeous, relentless, blowup doll toting Finn. Yea... you read that right. I mean, who would use a blowup doll to take advantage of the carpool lane? That would be one Finnigan Walsh.
Joy Novel Thoughts
This book was a breath of fresh air and I couldn't stop smiling the entire book... well except when I crying, and frustrated. Although, even when I was frustrated, I was still smiling. This book. was full of surprised and I really didn't want to put the book down. Once I finished, I immediately messaged the author because I NEED more of this book. I wouldn't call it entirely clean, because there is some sex but it wasn't a constant and I did't feel the need to skim it because it was just too muc ...more

So, I don't generally pick up a romantic comedy but when I do I never know how it's going to go over, anything too cheesy just isn't my thing. I really enjoy this writer and gave it a shot.

Ugh, I laughed, I cried (several times) I connected with each and every one of the characters and felt like I could walk right into this story and feel safe and like I was with friends.

This quirky group of people loved each other so hard and that was so brilliantly written. The was so much warmth and hon

Oh my gosh, this is the most fun book I've read in a while. I truly laughed out loud several times while reading it.

Liz (Lizzie, Lizard, the names go on) - loved her. She is an introverted accountant who is awkward with people and enjoys being on her own.

Finn is an executive type who is outgoing and funny.

Their worlds collide and they begin carpooling (Liz's worst nightmare).

Add in Kel, Ernesto, and Emerson and this carpool becomes quite the adventure. The characters are all interesting and funn

5+ stars!! Once again Dawn L. Chiletz amazes me with her writing. My first book was The Fabulist and it was one of my favorite reads of 2016, definitely the most fun. Confessions of a Carpool Captive was another great, fun read. The Fabulist had strong, amazing characters. They are so much fun to read they immediately captivate you. Confessions of a Carpool Captive was no different. I loved Liz, awkward, loner, witty, negative at times but always good-hearted Liz. Loved Finn, gentleman, thoughtf ...more

This was a very cute and easy read. I'll have to read The Fabulist soon, because it's referenced a few times in this book.
