Viking #5

The Viking's Honor

Rate this book
During a raid in Ireland that took her family, her home and all her food, a Viking intentionally let Shannon Carr live. At first, she did not see it as a kindness, but as time passed, the reason he let her live often haunted her. More pressing still was her need for revenge, so she set out to find the Vikings in Scotland. In England, Brightie Tweddle prayed rumors of a giant in the north were true and believed he alone could save her from an abusive brother. The moment she made good her escape, she too headed for Scotland.

Not great literature but definitely a good read.

This review is generic across all Talbott's Viking and Highlander books (so if you look for my review of another in this series you'll just see this).

Talbott has done a superb job of recreating the environment and culture of medieval Scotland and Northern England in these two series. No explicit sex and no gratuitous violence (though there is violence appropriate to the time and place of the novels). Perfect romantic historic fiction with enough swashbuckling tension to appeal to almost anyone. While I am well past adolescence (nearly to senescence), I believe YA readers looking for an entertaining read would like these novels as much as I did.

Highly recommended.

Very Very Good Story!

So much going on in this one. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and storyline so much. I laughed quite a bit too. I was sad when the girls lost their families. But it all worked out in the end. I did think Shannon would stay but 🤷🏻‍♀️. On to Book #6. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜

Fraught with people having various spellings to their names. This book was a disappointment to the series. The series needs to have more Vikings join the MacGeagor tribe. At this point, how can they even claim a Viking connection when it’s been 100s of years?

The Viking's Honor

This book was a fun read. I liked the interplay between the Scots, the Irish, the English and the Vikings.

❤️

A clean romance without all the emotional drama . A tale of 4 different groups and how they come together.

Marti does it again

An amusing story with good characters that takes the mind on holiday. Her stories are always clean and fun. Happy to add this one to my library and hope for more.
