Wow! I was not expecting to like this book so much! This may be one of the first interracial romances I've ever read and I LOVED it! And the funny thing is...this was just the prequel.

I seriously fell in love with Grip. This hero stole my heart. KRs writing was so effortless, realistic and flowed so easily I almost forgot that I was reading and before I knew it I had finished the book. Even though it wasn't a full length novel, the characters were still well developed and solid.

I felt for the

Flow is the perfect prequel to set the scene and tone of GRIP, the new STANDALONE love story by Kennedy Ryan. Fans of the Soul series will be familiar with the characters at the heart of this story but rest assured if you have not read the afore mentioned novels, Kennedy Ryan has carefully crafted Grip and Bristol's story to ensure it is the perfect standalone. I'm not going to say much about this prequel mainly because I just want to start Grip already and writing a long review will delay this =)

⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2! Flow, book 0.5 of 2. Long before the world knew him as Grip they were Marlon & Bris exploring LA & each other!

I dont care what color a girl is. I like the color of smart, the shade of funny, and sexy is my favorite hue.

Books in the Grip duet should be read in order:
Book 0.5: Flow - FREE!
Book 1: Grip
Book 2: Still

Flow (prequel) is the FREE opening to Grip. It takes place eight years prior when college student and heiress Bristol Gray, Bris

Flow is the prequel to Grip, and once you finish Flow, you wont be able to stop yourself from going straight into Grip. This was a short read, but it really packed a punch. I loved Grip and Bristol (I loved them in Rhys book) so seeing their start and the connection they shared when they first met made me so happy! I cant wait to see where their full story takes us. I don't know how well received this review will be taken but here we go...

Let's meet Bristol. Bristol is a bitch . I just dont like the hoe . She reminds me of a slut or maybe a whore . Oh, no! Wait! That's just how Bristol views everyone expect her.

Let's all prepare ourselves to read a story that plays on almost every single negative stereotype of the black community, shall we?

All jokes aside, Bristol is a

Flow is the first thing I have ever read by Kennedy Ryan, and I knew right away that it wouldnt be my last. Novellas are tricky for me to rate and review. Most of the time there never seems to be enough story for me to become totally invested in what Im reading, and any connection I feel to the characters is flimsy at best. However, sometimes one comes a long and surprises me, and this was one of those times!

Grip agrees to pick up his best friends sister, Bristol, from the airport without having

I'm going to keep this simple. I freaking LOVE Grip!! Love him!!

Be still my heart. He had me from the start. Why is it that when I went to Compton to visit (many times mind you), I never encountered a man quite like Grip??? Where were you hiding boo???

I was fascinated by Grip and Bristol's instant connection, their banter, their feelings, their everything. It was all wrapped up in the way that Kennedy Ryan worded each sequence of their story. She made it almost lyrical. I felt this book singing

This novella is an introduction to a new series by Kennedy Ryan! I found the story to be a bit slow in the beginning but it caught my interest towards the end. I look forward to getting more Bristol and Grip!

Ive been staring at my computer for more than thirty minutes trying to form the right words to say. Flow made me want to read Grip right away. This prequel introduces who Marlon Grip James and Bristol Gray are before the fame and success. The novella had me 100% invested in their story, and 100% craving for more. This story is presented in a beautiful array of lyrical prose, showing social issues, family dynamic, and a slow-burn romance spanning

Kennedy Ryan is a new to me author who has been recommended countless times by many friends, so I finally got my shit together and read one of her books. Flow is a prequel to the book Grip, and it has a very promising start.

Bristol is traveling to LA to visit her estranged brother during her spring break. When hes unable to pick her up from the airport, he sends his friend and colleague Grip. Theres an

Wow this was really good! So this one goes back eight years before book one of the "Grip series" where Grip and Bristol first meet. Right from the first meeting these two sparked an intense connection, at least that's how it felt to me. Their flirting was sexy the way they went back and forth was so much fun to watch. Grip, such a player the words that came out his fun had me rolling my eyes but dam if I didn't enjoy his confidence. Bristol took as much as she gave she knew how to

After years of being estranged, Bristol Gray was making an effort to reconnect with her brother. But the one week she had was spent mostly with his best friend Grip. As the trip came to an end, she had to decide if the connection was something worth keeping.

I look at her, cataloging her features one by one and realizing the most fascinating thing about this girl isnt visible to the naked eye.

In Flow, we get to see how Grip and Bristol's love story begins. Its short but fantastic and gives you a good look at the background and characters in Grip. The author catches the readers attention from the very beginning and keeps it through to the end. This story is so cute Grip and Bristol are definitely perfect for each other.

Grip meets Bristol and he almost falls for her right at the onset. He never meant to fall for the twin sister of his best friend Rhyson, but he did and in a big way!

There is nothing better than reading a story where the connection between the characters literally penetrates your soul. The words that drive the story are amazingly poetic, emotionally raw and beautifully awakening. The sparks that ignite the characters are deep and palpable. Flow is the prequel to GRIP, and gives us the start of how Grip and Bristol meet and what transpires between the two when Bristol comes to reconnect with her brother, Rhyson.

Flow is the prequal to "Grip" and I strongly advice everyone to read this one before starting book 1. It's also free, so give it a go and get to know Marlon "Grip" and Bristol !!

This book takes place 8 years before the story of book 1. It explains how Grip and Bristol meet and spend a whole week together.

These two had a wondeful "connection" right from the start. I was immediately drawn to both characters and even though this was quite a short story, plenty of things happend. I was pulled in

Ok I'm going to keep this short and sweet, I am LOVVVVING this. Can I say GRIPPP IS MINEEE I'm claiming dibs here LOL. He is perfect in every way, I loved the soul series so I kind of knew I'd fall for this likewise. Grip is everything you want in a hero, he's sensual in a music rhythm way, he's a musician in poetry and rapping and using words to explain his thoughts and feelings. And that I would say is the reason why I am falling for him, he expresses himself

I had too high expectations. All my friends loved it I so wanted to be "in" but saddly I will be the odd one.
I did not like the beginning. At all.
I was all "Really girl?" you are judging a blonde "airhead"? Her tits are attcking you? That's kind of judgmental you know!
And their conversation about the use of the "niggas" word had me all perplex. Like the author was trying too much to explain the problems plaguing black people. Don't misunderstand me I think these problems are real and

When I read the Souls series I was very much intrigued by Grip and Bristol's relationship and wondered what was their story. Because they certainly had chemistry in spades. Their simmering lust and attraction also hinted at a much more deeper connection.

With Flow, a short prequel, I got not just a hint but a pretty damn good look into how they first met and how deep their relationship goes. Especially on a personal level. Their interactions were phenomenal and I loved how comfortable they were

Flow is a prequel to Grip & Bristol's story. Once I started reading this book I just can't put it down and got mesmerized how eloquently Kennedy Ryan wrote this story. It's been a while since I read this fast, that's how captivating this book is. Now that I'm finished, I can't wait to start on Grip and see how the story of Grip and Bristol unfolds...

Overall Opinion: This was a good start to the series, and did its job in having me anxious to get started on the first book. It did take me a while to like the h, but after about halfway I understood why she was the way she was and I ended up liking her. I am really digging this H too! Im excited to jump right into Grip 🤗

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Bristol and Grips story. They meet when Bristol is in LA visiting her estranged twin brother and Grip is sent to pick her up.

This was so great! Fast, funny and tension-filled, it caught my attention and now I'm just dying to get my hands on the next book. I'm going to go out and say that this is probably my favourite novella that I've ever read, however, I can probably count on one hand how many novellas I've read.
