Jens Arnesen is only looking for a taste of the city, a place to experience Boston. What he finds is a sexy naked man who ends up being more than he bargained for. Elliot Matthews needs a place to stay until the storm blows over and the airports open. Being walked in on by Jens starts out as an annoyance but grows into the best thing in his life. When the skies clear and t ...more

I read the entire Storming Love: One Storm, Twelve Men series MLR Press put out last year. Two of those stories (by S.J. Frost and Kaje Harper) were standouts; three were forgettable; and one (by Stephanie Hecht) was a hot mess.

Since I survived a hurricane, I can survive a blizzard too. Two of the stories in the Blizzard series are by Sara York, an author I don't usually read.

York's stories tend to sizzle, but they're also melodramatic and rife with editing issues, which, as you may know (co

Okay now, for 2 'shy', insecure guys who 'don't sleep around' to have just met, Jens and Elliot sure seemed to have taken this short, 68-page from slow/medium burn to approaching porn w/ plot-lite in about 2.5 seconds.

The numerous sexy scenes were fine, bordering on hot a few times, but initially their mouths kept saying they were nervous and to slow down, then they'd pounce on one another again. But there's a definite connection between the two, so hump to your hearts content. Whatevs.

When a blizzard traps Jens and Elliot in Boston, both men are offered a room in a house being let by a friend. Problem is, Jens and Elliot don’t know each other-–nor know that they are going to be temporary roommates-–until Jens walks in on Elliot (gloriously) naked, coming out of the shower. Turns out the house is owned by two people, and those two people apparently have communication issues, because both owners have individually promised the room as safe haven to both men. Without ever telling ...more

I didn't read all of the other Storming Love books in the first series because Dani, my amazing friend, had warned me which books I should or should not read. This first book was super disappointing. Like really.

Elliot and Jens had no chemistry nor steam. The insta-attraction was not done well. It was not even insta-attraction to be honest. It was more like insta-100%-love. Insta-attraction could be like he really wanted to kiss the other but here, it was about sex. Which w

Sweet, romance with very little drama. The characters are absolutely fantastic and I’m always one for a happy ending forever!

Jens is in Boston for a writer’s convention and decides to stay at a friend’s rental for a few days instead of a hotel for the ambience. When he arrives he finds a naked man emerging form the bathroom.
Elliot is a friend of Adam’s, Jen’s friend’s partner. Evidently the two men didn’t communicate when renting out the room. With a huge snow storm approaching the two men decide to share the room and hit it off really well.
I have to say I expected more from this story. We were told that Jens was a wr

This is the story of Jens and Elliot, two men travelling for business. In Boston, they both arrange to let the same flat for the same weekend. Just as Jens arrives, a blizzard hits.

This is a short story. It is a simple story. It is a sexy story. The men are hot, the sex is hot, the snow is cold. It is the perfect story to read in front of a fire on a cold February night.

I really like the way Sara York’s writing style has evolved since the first Texas Soul books a few years ago. Her writ

Rating: 3.5 stars out of 5

From the review: "Jens and Elliot (Storming Love: Blizzard #1) by Sara York is a very sweet short story with a few surprising quirks that elevated it above other cute stories of the same trope. I have to admit I do love a strangers thrown together by adversity theme. And given current weather conditions here in the eastern part of the US, this story and series feels very current. Poor Boston indeed."

Not among the best in the series. Felt more superficial than Sara York's books usually are. Also had difficulty sometimes in following who was doing what as the grammar was off.
