Just another typical MC book.

The characters were likable, the plot was ok, the writing wasn't bad. All these mean that it's a decent book, but nothing memorable. It did make me interested in their world though, so I'll go on to the next one, maybe that one will be a bit more interesting.

Steel is the first book in the Night Rebels MC series by Chiah Wilder. It was the second book I've read by this author.

Steel was written in a dual POV, Steel and Breanna. It was entertaining with a suspenseful plot. I waffled between 3-4 stars and ultimately settled on a 3.5 rating, which rounds up to a 4 on this site.

Steel was the sexy President of the Night Rebels MC. He was part Navajo and had a teenage daughter that he adored. Family and brotherhood were important.

Breanna was the beautiful s
Steel is President of the Night Rebels MC and has always put his club first. When his daughter overdoses he realizes he has to make her the priority and her social worker Breanna Quine wants to do what is best for the family. Breanna knows what is like to have an addict in the family and feels for Steel even though his gruff exterior has her thinking he is a jerk. Steel is attracted to Breanna and he knows she feels the same, the timing might not be right but Steel wants to see where life with B ...more
This book has a good storyline, but the characters' personalities just didn't do it for me. Conversations don't flow smoothly and don't seem authentic. I like this author's stories, but the dialogue needs work to not sound so choppy. There are little to no typos, so good proofreading.

3.5 stars

Steel is the president of the Nights Rebels MC. A proud Navajo he is feared and respected. His daughter is caught in a web of drugs being brought into his territory. Needing to find out who is running the drugs effecting his community before others get hurt could pose deadly. Protecting his daughter is something he wont quit on or give up on.

Breanna meets the biker while sitting with his daughter whom she found almost dead in the slum house. She though
3.5 stars leaning towards 4 stars

Well it started off with a bang and I thought it would be really good. After finishing I would rate it 3.5, maybe leaning towards a 4. I liked the story line and the characters but I could never really "feel" the love between the two main characters. It is still one of the better biker books I have read lately but fell short of my initial expectations. I did like the way the author dealt with realistic issues such as drug addiction and the ways addicts break oth
This did not work for me. I love heroes that I love to hate, but he was a jerk. There was nothing likable.

The writing and characters did not grab or keep my attention.

This is my opinion. You may love it. Reading is subjective.

I wanted to give it 5 stars but it was just so sad for the H to lose his daughter. Also, the h was TSTL in trying to arrange a meeting with the drug dealer without informing the H.

I love that Steel (H) did not sleep with anyone after meeting Breanna (h). He wasn't interested in hooking up with ow and he didn't know why! Haha I always like that kind of story. It also took a while before they slept together.

I like that Steel's Navajo heritage was discussed in the book and incorporated in the story

I liked the idea of this book better than I liked the book. Both the H and h were completely immature for people of their age and professions. And the constant changing of their minds from paragraph to paragraph was dumbfounding. It's too bad they were that way because I liked the story line as for the drama in their town and the Native American aspect.
Wound up really liking this and definitely would read more from the author. No cheating, no ow/om drama, HEA and I didn't notice spelling or grammar issues. Started off good, then slightly wobbly, then good from there on. Setting is southwestern Colorado.

The H is half Navajo/Irish president of an MC, he has a 17 year old daughter (from his high school girlfriend) who has been abusing drugs and now is into heroin. The daughter lives with her mother who is not a bad mother but more of a friend and
5 Stars!

OMG! This book is so good yet so freaking infuriating, too. I'm going to be frank and say this up front because there is no way it won't color the rest of my review. The romance part of this story is not in any way shape or form okay with me. I found the H, Steel, to be a despicable man. As far as the way he treated the h, Breanna, I was completely disgusted. He was hypocritical, hotheaded, stubborn, judgmental, selfish, borderline emotionally abusive. He may have been sweet about 30% of

It's okay.

This book was sad but good and brought up the very real issue of addiction, and more specifically, teenage addiction. Other topics were included, such as good stamp fraud.

One issue I had with this is book is the inaccuracy of how EBT cards work, and I thought the way they worked was the same in every state. I could be wrong, though, because food stamps may work that way in that state. Here, each person is issued with one card with their name on it. The amount of their benefits varies

Steel is a MC/romance story and a very enjoyable one at that. The way the author writes makes it so easy to get into it is an effortless read. The chapters were just about the right length also, pulling you through the story.

We met Steel, President of The Night Rebels MC and Breanna, a social worker. Having had experience with dirt rough bikers, Breanna wants nothing to do with the arrogant self-centred Steel, but she finds that she can't stop thinking about him.

Loved it! First book in this series come out with a bang! I love the Insurgents MC and just knew Chiah would rock The Night Rebels MC, and she did. I can't wait to hear more from Night Rebels MC.

Chiah Wilder writes this novel with hopes that it will elicit a connection with the characters, Steel and Breanna, who come together due to her position as a government social worker and his daughter being her client.
I had a terrible time connecting to these two individuals even given the fact that it is presented with both of their points of view.
He is supposed to hold an elite status as president of the Night Rebels MC, a seedy outlaw group of men who have club women to use at their disposal,

This story is no doubt one of my top reads of 2017. Steel is the President of his MC, which leaves him to take care of his guys.
Breeana is a social worker, and one of her clients is Steels 17 year old daughter. She id dealing with demons and drug use, and Breeana is doing all she can to help. Steel dosent like the government in his business. Yet he cant fight the attraction to the social worker. Breeana dosent trust bikers, as her dad was one and chose women and the club life over his family, ye
Romance Between The Sheets
Steel is a fast paced mystery MC story with some romance but it left me wanting more from these two main characters in the romantic emotional sense. I actually would have enjoyed this more without the storyline of her brother as I felt both of the two main characters had so much going on in their lives that the romantic journey took second place.

Breanna and Steel's chemistry I did not feel until around the 30% mark as I felt there were many storylines lines for characters introduced into the boo

This was an okay read for me. I just wasn’t a huge fan of the touchy/feely type of MC. It was different but almost too different to make it a great MC romance. I like my MC romances with bada** alpha bikers and there were parts where Steel cries and the brothers are all hugging. It just took away from that alpha manliness I’ve come to expect and love from an MC read. I also spent the first few chapters very confused as to why Chenoa, Steel’s teenage daughter, even has a caseworker and why she wa ...more

I laughed when Steel said he treated Breanna with respect. Uh, dude, you might want to look up the actual meaning of the word because you most definitely don't!

I loved this book. The story was great and the authors writing sucked me in from the very beginning. This story was Raw and Emotional. We all love a hot biker but Steel was so much more, he was also a father who was fiercely protective of his daughter. Breanna could hold her own aswell, even though she was going through her own problems she stood her ground.

Steel is the part Navajo, part Irish President of the Night Rebels MC, who is respected by his brothers. And he has no problems getting any woman he wants, but never indulges in anything serious. His life revolves around defending his brothers, and taking care of his teenage daughter, so he has no time for a relationship. And he's fine with that, until he meets his daughter's social worker, Breanna Quine. There's an instant connection, but he trusts no one working for the government, so he's qui ...more

I will say Chiah Wilder knows how to write an MC story. I've loved them all so far and can't wait for more. First story in a new group is Steel and Breanna's story. Steel is President of his MC, loves his daughter beyond words and his mother is his light. He so worried about his Daughter Chenoa because she and her friends on the Rez were hooked on drugs, she needs to get away from this crowd if he has any hope of cleaning herself up. Her father Steel wants custody of her but the government has b ...more

I really enjoyed this book, though it deals with a heavy issue such as drug abuse the romance kinda felt forced. Like one minute they are fighting and then they are expressing their undying love. I loved the diversity of the characters, I am Native and I don't often see Native characters in fiction that are portrayed in a positive light. I think that's another reason I really like this book. I don't understand love personally but like I said above it seemed kinda to fast. I understand instalust, ...more

Good MC read

Another good motorcycle club book from this author, Steel the president of the Night Rebels is a hot tough Alpha male his Navajo heritage gives him the dark and dangerous look. Breanna is a social worker that is involved with the Navajo reservation. She and Steel meet when his daughter is hospitalised due to a heroin overdose, their chemistry is instantaneous. They go through a lot of ups and downs but love blossoms between them it's marred however by hard drugs being sold in the clu

It started out okay, then it was just boring and all the erotica in the world couldn't save it. After a while I just skipped the sex scenes trying to get to the story part unfortunately there wasn't one. I liked the Navajo aspect that was something original, but being a Jerk doesn't make you badass the women in this book are all without a backbone, but what really made me lose all interest when the guy knows that his daughter is in trouble but he does nothing, he could have called his brothers t ...more

Steel: ( Night Rebels MC - 1)

Wow! Almost certain have not read this author before, equally certain I'm glad I have the complete series of six books. It means I can start on book 2 as soon as I like, almost, I'd like to start now, but only just finished book 1 and it's 2.30 AM. Night Rebels Club is situated just outside of the Navajo reservation, Steel is half Navajo & Pres of the Night Rebels. His mother, plus his daughter & her mother live on the reservation. Chiah Wilder writes about rough, sexy men who know how to treat their women.

Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.

Her love of reading has always been center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fic
