Second in Horsman's exciting Wyrms of Pasandir series, Pirates of Brisa continues the adventures of young Eskander and his friends. A chance encounter with a pirate in a darkened alley draws Eskander into a search for missing kids. After learning that the pirates kidnapping the orphans of Seatome are doing so for the lich king, he and his friends decide to go after them at the source.

Upon Eskandar's leave from the navy and his life as a deckhand, he realizes that his life is about to be a lot more interesting! 

While Eskandar is a Wyrmcaller, a person of great magic, I felt the second book really didn't focus on this as much as the first one. This book, The Pirates of Brisa, also did not bring to the forefront his friendships with Kellani nor Naudin. However, it DID add more "visualization" to the world they are in as we follow Eskandar as he works to raise and army to go up
