Okay, first of all, Lenore is dark. I don't mean it's going to terrify you, I mean it features stuff like kids dying, fluffy little animals being abused/killed, a little girl torturing living creatures with or without meaning to... It's a whole mess and if you're easily bothered, sickened, or upset, you might want to steel yourself (or avoid Dirge's work altogether). This is an incredibly morbid comic series featuring an incredibly creepy protagonist. Filled with black humour, this comic is incredibly gruesome with plenty of body horror. Warnings for harm to animals and children. Some readers might be quite offended. I, of course, loved it.

Its been so long since my last treat of Lenore's company and this 'best of' volume was a superb way to be reintroduced to her and her friends, including the Spam Witch who is one of my favourites (aside from Lenore herseslf of course). Aside from the stories we also get plenty of bonus material including a very entertaining two page introduction...of sorts. I do love this cute little dead girl.

I feel like this was a bit of a trip back to my adolescence. Somewhat like reading a Johnen Vasquez comic.
I wanted to love it. But I can't help feeling that the time has passed, for me.

Wow! Can’t believe that Lenore has been around 25 years! Enjoyed the comics both ones I’ve seen before and not! My favorites are the Creepig and Where Pooty at? Hope Dirge will make more Lenore!
