Dusty Lewis has a hard heart. Years of loose living and of following the open trail have left him lonely and empty inside. All he has left, all he loves, is the homesteading life and the band of fellow ranch hands who he travelled with from Fort Worth Texas, to Montana Territory, to set up a new life.

Paradise Ranch is his home now: he’s come to terms with not having a fam

I'm going to refrain from reviewing this at the moment as the version I read was a beta version and based on other reviews and the book description there appears to have been some significant changes that make me think that my review might not end up accurate.

THE SINS OF THE PARENTS

I enjoyed book two of Paradise Valley series, and it will read as a standalone. The story has a young woman who is courageous, has determinations, and a caring heart. She is hiding a painful secret, one that has haunted her, followed her, and nearly destroyed her life. In spite of how she has been treated or mistreated, she has held her head high and tried to move forward in her life. There is a great cast of characters, along with mystery and suspense to keep the pages tu

I was so glad to see this was Dusty's story and really wanted to get to know him since he played a good part in the first book. Being a cowboy moving for years he was glad to settle at Paradise Ranch and felt he could build a house and settle down. He really was lonely, but he knew he would probably just live his life out on his own.
Jane Wilder is a teacher and ends up getting run out of the town she is in due to everyone finding out about her past. She learns that Genevieve, a cousin, lives in

Parents’ choices can be a burden for a child!

The saying goes that a child’s actions reflect on the parents however in this story it is the opposite – the parent’s actions reflected on the child. Jane Wilder was left with a mess due to her parent’s wrong doings that haunted her for years. Jane has to face cruelty from society once they find out about her parent’s and what “bad” people they were. Unfortunately, Jane lets this affect her as she tries to keep a closed heart thinking it would keep h

I purchased a copy of Paradise Valley Series book 2:Winds of Paradise by ViVi Holt and this review was given freely.
Paradise Ranch hand Dusty finds his match in the Boston school mistress and cousin to Genevieve, Jane. Vivi Hilt continues her pattern of women overcoming adversity with Jane moving to Montana to escape the stigma attached to having felons as parents. This novel has mostly a newsy plot as a good portion is filled with letters between Genevieve and Jane but it also contains w

Two very independent people, one a ranch hand and the other a teacher, don't seem to have much in common, but still they are attracted to each other. Both of them have secrets that they are not proud of too. Can they overcome their doubts and fears to become interdependent? Time will tell.

Sweet romance

Great story. Both Jane and Dusty had heartache in their past. Their courting was sweet but not without problems. I hope we'll see more of them in the next book in the series

Although Dusty loves working and living on Paradise Ranch, he longs for a home and family of his own. Maybe what he needs is a mail order bride. Then Jane Wilder, the new school teacher, comes to town. While working together they feel an unexpected attraction to each other. He doesn't think someone as educated as Jane would want someone like him and she thinks he won't want her after he finds out her secret. What will they do? As always, Vivi Holt tells a compelling story that keeps you enthrall ...more

This is a good second book in the series.

The old and new characters were woven together in the perfect way. They were easy to get to like and want it to end just like it did

Great western story telling. Strong men and women that I think must have settled the western frontier. Highly recommended for cowboy and cowgirl loving readers.

What a wonderful Christian romance that really pulls the reader in with a Wild West adventure. The author gives you wonderful delightful characters you can relate to with a wonderful plot you can get lost in. I really loved this from start to finish.

Jane leaves Boston moved to Montana to be a school teacher trying to escape the shame of her parents. Starting over she becoming a school teacher, things has not been easy for her when her past comes to haunt her she finds herself without a job. Para

If you are in the mood to read a nice Christian wild west adventure, this is the book for you. Jane was raised in Boston but heads to the Montana Territory, to teach the children of the community. Sounds like a true western trail ride already; however, this story is much more than that. She first teaches in Missoula and then moves to Bozeman, near a cousin and her husband who ranch in the area. The interaction of the ranchers, the members of the church, the Pastor and his wife and the children a ...more

Winds Of Paradise ( Paradise Valley-Book 2 )
By: Vivi Holt
Winds of Paradise is book two in Paradise Valley series. I really loved the story and the characters, both were easy to follow ,and well developed.
