OUR STORY
A beat-up old car, a few dollars in the pocket and a sense of adventure. In 1972 that’s all Tony and Maureen Wheeler needed for the trip of a lifetime – across Europe and Asia overland to Australia. It took several months, and at the end – broke but inspired – they sat at their kitchen table writing and stapling together their first travel guide, Across Asia on the Cheap. Within a week they’d sold 1500 copies and Lonely Planet was born. One hundred million guidebooks later, Lonely Planet is the world’s leading travel guide publisher with content to almost every destination on the planet.

Since I cannot go anywhere due to Covid, and I probably cannot afford the trip to Tokyo, I decided to read this book from the library. It's fun to read these books, it helps imagine a vacation anywhere n the world. Sadly, I have a feeling that travel guides might be very different in the near future due to the current situation. It was also kind of sad to read how excited Japan was for the 2020 Olympics, which never came. Still a fun read though.

Tokyo Travel

This was a fun and exciting read on Japan travel.

I learned a bunch about the city and the different areas to visit.

Would recommend as it has a lot of good plans.
