This series is a continual delight

I loved the Welsh flavours in this one, brought to life perfectly in the shape of nurse Freddie. Taine's half Scottish half Maori heritage was also depicted in a natural way without anything feeling forced.

Together they were a fascinating partnership and seeing them develop into a loose Dom/sub pairing fit really well within the narrative as Freddie struggled to lose the tight grip his two dads wouldn't let go of.

I loved seeing more of the gang, still all happil

Oh, this author is really great. Why am I just discovering her now?

In this installment of the Sin Bin, Freddie, who was Graham's nurse in book one, gets his own story and his own rugby player, Taine. Taine's older--early forties, bigger--6'5", and a Dom to boot. Plus he's part Scotsman and part Maori, was orphaned and left on a priest's doorstep, and was raised by said priest. He's quite the character, and perfect, IMHO, for Freddie, despite the fact Freddie is 26.

I loved Freddie's fluent Wels

In the Caretaker, Dahlia Donovan continues her Sin Bin series with Taine and Freddie's story. If you enjoyed book one, with all it's banter and fun, you'll enjoy this one as well. There are moments that will have you laughing and feeling right along with the characters. These two guys are going to have you turning the pages trying to find out how they come together and what happens next.
There are plenty of sweet moments, and some where it will kick you right in the feels. These two men have a l

Another sweet book from this author. Freddie and Taine's story is full of sweet moments except for the one time Taine is a complete jerk. Both men have a lot of things happening in their life and they seek solace in each other.
Taine is a retired rugby player. He's drifting from charity event to charity event. His former teammates are concocting all kinds of ideas for their future. But Taine just feels a little lost and unsure of what to do. Until he meets Freddie outside of a patients room. The

The Caretaker takes us back to Cornwall, this time via Cardiff. Freddie has finally managed to leave home where his loving but interfering dads constantly try to suffocate him. Unfortunately, there are a couple of homophobic idiots living in the same house as him, and they delight in making his life a misery. This is something he doesn't need, not on top of his very stressful job. Freddie is the 'happy bunny' that was able to support Graham and BC through his cancer in The Wanderer. Of course, b ...more

I really liked this story. It is book 2 in the Sin Bin Series. Even though there are not many references to the characters in book one, The Wanderer, some characters do make an appearance.

This story was a little hard to read for me. There are a lot of characters at the beginning that I sometimes could not keep straight. However, I enjoy Donovan’s storyline and writing style so I was able to get my head right. This story has some humor, some tough issues like homophobes, and even some age issues
I enjoyed this book and I have enjoyed the series. I especially loved this story. These are good guys who are sometimes rough around the edges. I love sports, themed MM stories. Just a fun read with enough emotion and sexiness to add to the enjoyment.

The Caretaker (The Sin Bin Book 2) by Dahlia Donovan is the second book in her The Sin Bin series. This is a standalone book but I suggest that you read the first book in this series first as it will give you some background information on these characters that will make the story flow for you better. This story is about two people who come from different backgrounds but yet find a connection with each other. One thing that I enjoy about this author is how she has the ability to bring characters ...more

The Caretaker is a love story following the lives of Freddie and Tiane, with the ups and downs that their relationship has over the cause of the story.

Freddie is a fun loving guy who has a tough job in being a nurse who deals with the terminally ill patients. He has have a tough life being bullied due to the fact he had two fathers, although he had love in his life from those two strong men, their family pushed against convention and that is what his peers could not stand.

I'm very happy to say I enjoyed this a lot more than the first book of the series.

I'm not 100% sure if the writing style changed from The Wanderer to The Caretaker or if I simply grew used to it, but I wasn't as confused by it this time around. There also were way less instances of time or events that were simply summarized in a few sentences, though they were still much more present than I'm used to.

One thing I loved was the charming quirks of the characters, from Taine's love and

After absolutely loving The Wanderer, I was super excited to read The Caretaker, the second book in Dahlia Donovan’s The Sin Bin series. I was not disappointed. Rather than continuing the story of Graham and BC, The Caretaker focuses on two of the minor characters from The Wanderer, giving them the chance to have a story (or possibly several) of their own.

Freddie is introduced to us as the nurse who goes above and beyond the call of duty to care for Graham when he is diagnosed with cancer. Tiane

The follow up story to the fantastic Wanderer, The Caretaker by Dahlia Donovan is the next in the Sin Bin series. This time it follows the story of Grahams nurse Freddie and his decadent interest, Tens.

Freddie tries to look at the positive side to life. Working with young cancer patients can make this a hard task for sure. Especially when he loses someone he is fighting hard for. Needing to reassure himself he goes to visit Graham, one of his successful patients, in an attempt to remind himself

This book was just as wonderful as the wanderer. I love how mature Freddie was for his age. How he had a purpose and had such a open and caring soul. He understood where Taine was coming from and had patience for him. How he had kindness in his soul and how it hurt to him to see others in pain. How caring and compassionate he was. I loved his love of cheese.

Taine I loved the journey he went on to acceptance of love in his life even when it wasn’t from where expected. I love how he gave space to

The Caretaker by Dahlia Donovan is a five star novel that you will not want to put down. This is the second novel in the Sin Bin series. It could be read as a standalone although I recommend the first book as it is a great read as well and develops two of the characters that takes part in this novel. Rainey Afoa also known as Tens is a former rugby player. Tall, built, and dark complected from his father’s Maori roots, he is a force to be reckoned with. Women and men love him alike and he is not ...more

I have been readily waiting on book 2 in the Sin Bin series from Dahlia Donovan after meeting nurse Freddy in book 1 when he he was a tour of strength as the much loved Cancer nurse but here he takes centre stage and we learn everything that makes the Caretaker tick.

Frederick Whittle grew up with two dads which made life in his small village pretty hard for an only child especially when you have two very overprotective fathers to contend with. After making the move to Cardiff to finally gain so

The Caretaker – The Sin Bin Book 2 by Dahlia Donovan – 5 stars

The Caretaker is book 2 in the Sin Bin Series and can be read as a stand-alone. There are characters from other stories Ms. Donovan has written, but I think they are explained well enough that you will be able to enjoy the story if you’ve never read the previous stories.

I was gifted my copy of this book, direct from the other herself. That I write a review was not needed, but I am writing one!

Again, I'm honoured to have beta read this book. It's amazing watching an author hone her craft!!

We met Freddie in The Wanderer, he is a cancer nurse. After losing a young patient, Freddie is sent on vacation by his boss. She meddles a bit too, and send Taine with him, after discovering the two men have some chemistry. Taine is a rugby player team mate of BC and the others

The Caretaker is book 2 in the Sin Bin series by Dahlia Donovan.

Freddie Whittle is about to break, he is a nurse who cares to much about his cancer patients, he feels far too much when they sadly pass away, he wants to seek approval from his father in everything he does, and he lives in a neighbourhood that are anti-gay. All he wants is to be happy and people keep bringing him down.

Taine Afoa is a retired rugby player, no longer liking the life in London he wants to move to a place he can relax

The Caretaker by Dahlia Donovan is the second book in The Sin Bin Series. Dahlia Donovan is an extremely wonderful and talented author. The way she has wrote The Caretaker has taken a new meaning to male/male relationships and falling in love with the same sex. Not only has she created something so beautiful between her characters in this novel, but she has thrown in the challenges that any male/male couple would face in today’s society with unaccepting and judgmental people. The Caretaker is the second book in The Sin Bin series by Dahlia Donovan. It can be read as a standalone but is best read in order so you can enjoy the building of the previous characters. It is just as good as the Wanderer and is another sweet romance story. I enjoy Dahlia’s writing, she breathes life into her characters that has you feeling like one of the gang.

I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this story, mostly because I liked the two main characters together. When I read this book, I noticed there were a lot of side characters who had been paired up already. I thought it was kind of weird (they were all former rugby players and many of them were gay or bi), but it wasn't until I started writing this review that it clicked. This story is part of a series, and I'm assuming each book will focus on a different co

Five Stars

The Caretaker is the second book in the Sin Bin Series by Dahlia Donovan. I love the way that Ms. Donovan portrays the characters in this series. I have to admit that m/m is one of my favorite genres so my recommendation may be reflective of that, but Ms Donovan has just to the top of my go to authors. Book Review: The Caretaker (The Sin Bin Book Two)
Author: Dahlia Donovan
Dahlia Donovan is a romance writer and prefers irreverent humour and unconventional characters.
I was excited to read this book as it continues with the nurse, Freddie, who took care of Graham in book one and Taine, who is a friend of BCs.. It is very tastefully written and it is a true love story. I laughed along with the characters and I cried even when they kept strong.
This book will definately pull at your hearts

The Caretaker by Dahila Donovan is the second book in The Sin Bin Series and it's a great addition to the series! While it could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading them in order just to give a better feel for the story. This one is about two people who come from two different backgrounds but make it work. I absolutely adored the characters and loved seeing this series grow. Another amazing 5 stars!

Freddie Whittle is a young nurse who is dedicated to his work with cancer patients. After losing man family members, he feels like he has to help everyone that he can – no matter how hard it is on him. He just gives and gives and gives some more.
It doesn’t help that his fathers have such high expectations of him. They also can’t seem to realize that he is an adult at twenty-six, even if he looks much

The Caretaker by Dahlia Donovan is the second book in the Sin Bin series which follows a group of former Rugby teammates after they have left the game and trying to start the next stage in their lives. I have enjoyed both books and the love the way the guys are with one another. They act like giant children who have money and can drink which isn’t always the smartest but so far, they have been my favorite scenes in the books.
