Stranger Fillings was written in conjunction with their mother, using a system of blinking lights.
They divide their time between Indiana and the Upside Down.

This is a cute cookbook for fans of Stranger Things. Some of the desserts look downright delicious. There's a rating system at the beginning and I think it's a bit flawed. A lot of the 'easy' bakes look like they require a good bit of effort. I think, for a seasoned baker, it would be easy (yet time consuming). For a new baker, even the easy bakes would be challenging. The upside down cake is insanely impressive.

This is a cute book with colorful pages and very creative projects. That saying, I’m not sure if you would want to spend that much time creating THEN eating some of them. Some are entire scenes from the movie (cough-bullies) and others are El in a dep tank or the upside down cake (which is actually really cool; maybe too cool to eat…)

Some projects seem too scant, than actual food to fill up enough people, altho there are a few of those like the Friends don’t li(m)e pie which would fill a small group. They include simple instructions that rate the difficulty level and how many people each recipe could feed.

This book is for someone that gets a kick out of ST (first season) and/or people that love to make food *really* fun (over actual sustenance). My fave is the Hopper coffee and contemplation cupcakes.

It’s a small book that covers the basic characters from S1. It would be really fun to have a bigger book that covers ALL of them. Def would buy for a ST fan. Final Note: it’s definitely marked as a parody and not official merch.

I picked this up at release while I was working at Barnes & Noble.

It's in the title: it's an unofficial cookbook that uses elements from the show Stranger Things to both inform the recipes and create a goofy, fun story as sort of a through line for the book.

This is a fun little book. It uses the Stranger Things visual elements in a very fun way for the art and the recipes are solid, but the decorative touches really steal the show as they continue to run with the aforementioned visual elements while still being quite accessible. My only quibble is I would have preferred a different visual indicator for the difficulty levels of each recipe. The indicator is pretty simple: a thin crescent of waffle for an easy recipe, a medium sized crescent of waffle for an intermediate recipe and a whole waffle for advanced recipes. The easy and intermediate indicators are just a bit too similar in appearance making them a bit difficult to differentiate. Excellent cookbook for fans of the show.

I'd say this is more for the fun than the actual recipe's. A lot of it is aimed to be for anyone so you have to keep that in mind. Some of it needs a lot of substitution to make it work more for you but that's just my opinion.

Fun, albeit mostly impractical, collection of recipes that are amusing to look at but would never make unless at the request of a child for a birthday. Made me smile and miss the show!
