I absolutely can NOT get enough of Susan Stoker! Rescuing Kassie is classic with the Damsel In Distress and a hunky Military man that comes to the rescue but I feel like Rescuing Kassie is more special...more sigh-worthy than most books with the whole damsel in distress/hero coming to the rescue routine. This story has enough heart, sweetness, sexiness, suspense, and heart-pumping action to keep me forever coming back for more! Hollywood was EVERYTHING I could of imagined and more! Another alpha hero from Susan Stoker. This time it's Hollywood- the sexy, handsome and brave Delta Force soldier. Little did he know, the woman he met online wasn't just a random meeting.

I have said it on multiple occasions that I love these alpha heroes. They are take charge and love their damsels in distress. They are faithful and loyal. Even after Hollywood found out about Kassie's reasons for messaging him, he forgave her and rea

Secrets and lies… and love…

I couldn’t wait to dive into another military romance by this author who always manages to find the right balance of testosterone and sweet romance. This is a band of warriors, of comrades and the women who love them. With the ladies matching their partners in strength and loyalty. Each outing has been rife with humour, action and kick-ass emotion and I couldn’t wait for more!

“So why am I writing you back? Because you made me laugh. Out loud.

I have been looking forward to this one every since the author shared a preview in a newsletter. I was glad that I read it as it allowed me to feel sorry for Kassie from the start. I hated that she was forced to "play" Hollywood as she was a good person in a bad situation. I knew that Hollywood wouldn't react well to things once he realized what was going on, so when he blew up I expected it, but hated that Hollywood wouldn't give Kassie a chance to explain and cut her to the core with his words ...more

I loved this book. Kassie is definitely a lady who can stand up for herself. I do love a strong heroine and Kassie is it.

Hollywood was an amazing hero. He was not perfect and he blew up at her in one scene but did not hesitate to apologize when he saw his error.

There was the right amount of heat and passion between the characters and there is a definite lack of sex scenes. They don't happen until the latter end of the book at almost the end but it was building up to them the whole book. The su

Loved it, loved the story and the characters, as I always do with books by this author. They are always so engaging and keep me interested, though Hollywood was an ass at first.

4.5 stars. Rated down for the 3rd or 4th epilogue, because god damn, I hate that shit!! :/ Otherwise, book was perfect.

I can’t wait to continue this series and feed my current Delta Force addiction.

Rescuing Kassie is the book I have been waiting for because Stoker has given us lots of little teasers! Kassie's abusive ex, Jacks, is well known to the team for kidnapping Emily and Annie. However, even from prison, he is still trying to torment the Delta Force team he blames for everything. He threatens his ex into doing whatever he says in order to get revenge. I was glad that Kassie comes clean to Hollywood very early. I was afraid the story would center around her keeping the secret and hi

Everyone knows online dating is a risky proposition. You could hit the jackpot, you could meet an axe murderer. Graham "Hollywood" Caverly thinks he's hit the jackpot: Kassie has a great sense of humor, similar likes/dislikes, and they click perfectly. The only problem is that Kassie is messaging Hollywood because her ex Richard and his stalker friend Dean are threatening her little sister if she refuses to spy on him and his Delta Force team. She's used to abuse and threats from them, but is de ...more

What would you do if you were being coerced into talking to someone in a online dating site from a former boyfriend who was threatening your sister? Is do whatever was necessary to protect her even when you know it's wrong.

Kassie Anderson dated Richard Jack's (Rescuing Emily) for almost two years until Jack's team lost in a war game with Graham "Hollywood" Calvery and his Delta teammates . Even though he's in prison somehow he's managed to convi

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

Hollywood and his Delta Force team will stop at nothing to protect Kassie and her family. Will their plan work or is someone lying in wait to foil everything?

Rescuing Kassie is another excellent book from Susan Stoker and the Delta Force Heroes series. I was absorbed into the story from page one and intrigued to know how things were going to pan out for Kassie and Hollywood. It never tires reading Susan Stoker’s words and style. She a

These men kill me. I mean they absolutely slay me. See that puddle on the ground? That’s me. They are perfectly imperfect and the women are feisty even when vulnerable. It’s no wonder that I look forward to getting my hands on these books because they are addicting. They’re sweet, smexy, humorous and the dynamic between the characters is so well done that I get lost in the story and simply want more even when the book is over.

Kassie Anderson is a very persistent woman. Graham “Hollywood” Caverly loves to laugh. Loved how the author has the reader get to know the main characters at the beginning. But then she creates a scene that has me asking, “Where are you taking this?” Then I have to answer “I’m not going anywhere until I find out.”

Intimidation was a hard thing to read just because I can imagine how frightening it was to be on the receiving end. This is the perfect vehicle to show how creative Ms. Stoker is. I wa

Waiting to read a new Susan Stoker book fills me with the same anticipation as searching for a special gift, for myself, LOL. Her style of writing is extraordinary, filled with unique characters and situations remembered long after the last page has been turned. In fact, I just finished reading it and I want to start it all over again.

Such is the case with her latest story, Rescuing Kassie. Kassie Anderson and her sister Karina, although thirteen years younger, are as close as sisters can be. Ha

Ah! I loved this book! While the previous book (Rescuing Hayley) wasn't my favorite, this book 100% made up for it!

Let me start of saying I know this book wan't about them but.....MARY AND TRUCK! COME ON SUSAN STOKER!!!!!!

Anyway.....This book's plot directly connects to Rescuing Emily, just so you know. Kassie is all of us. She is a bit awkward (at first), but soon she becomes completely relate-able and complex. Not to give too much away, but I assumed it would take 3/4 of the b

Rescuing Kassie is Book 5 in the Delta Force Heroes. It can be a stand alone but I highly recommend that you read the books in order to get better appreciation for the characters in the series. One of the great things about this series is you get to 'revisit' with the characters from the previous books. They are the best type of 'family' to have, one for all and all for one.

Kassie Anderson contacts Hollywood through a dating website. Through online communication they get to know each other prett

When I first read the blurb about this book, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Kassie. Rescuing Kassie, is the fifth title in the Delta Force Heroes series, and although it can be read as a standalone, you will get more from this book if you have read the previous title in the series. There is a great deal of crossover of characters from the previous titles within the story line.

I enjoyed the mystery/suspense aspect of this story and thought it was very well written. The plot had some unexpected twists and turns, lots of action and a very good pace. The characters were well written and I liked both Kassie and Hollywood and the many other characters from the Delta Force team.

I haven't read any other books from the 'Rescuing' series but was able to follow the plot of this without any issues. It can easily be read as a stand-alone romance.

“Then a spotlight came on over a table near the front of the room. It had a white tablecloth and there was a single red rose in a vase with a yellow ribbon tied around the top. A place setting with an upside down glass, a single candle, and an empty chair completed the setup. The lights dimmed and a man at the front of the room began to speak. “The cloth is white—symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to serve. The single red rose reminds us of the lives of these Americans…and their loved ones and friends who keep the faith, while seeking answers. The yellow ribbon symbolizes our continued uncertainty, hope for their return and determination to account for them. A slice of lemon reminds us of their bitter fate, captured and missing in a foreign land. A pinch of salt symbolizes the tears of our missing and their families—who long for answers after decades of uncertainty. The lighted candle reflects our hope for their return—alive or dead. The glass is inverted—to symbolize their inability to share a toast. The chair is empty—they are missing. A moment of silence for the lost heroes.” 0 likes
