This book could be written about me: a little girl has a favourite book that she always borrows from the library. But when everyone starts reading her library book, it quickly becomes tatty and worn - and the library discards it! How will Lucy ever read her favourite book again?
This is 11 year old me's life with my childhood favourite Someone Like Me. Prior perfectly captures the love and attachment children can have with a much loved book.

This is such a charming book that really shows that so many people like reading for different reasons and why one person may love the book in one way another person loves it in another. It’s really nice to see a picture book show that it’s great to love reading as a kid.

As a child I borrowed books by a certain author so many times that the books got worn out and the library sold them to me.

Lucy’s Book is an adorable picture book that captures that special connection between a child and their favourite book, as well as celebrating the way that sharing stories can bring people together.

This story takes place at first in a library. Lucy’s mum takes her to the library every Saturday and there’s one special book that Lucy borrows over and over again. She shares that book between friends - at school, dance class, in the neighbourhood - and she even takes it on holid

Lucy's Book is a charming and delightful story that perfectly captures that magic moment when a book and a person first meet and change each other forever.

When the librarian hands Lucy a book and says "I think you'll enjoy this one," she couldn't predict what would happen next. It becomes Lucy's book. Her favourite. The book she wants to reread a hundred times. Lucy borrows it many times, shares it with her friends, takes it on holidays, and then discovers it has been removed from the library s

This gorgeous picture book is a celebration of library books, librarians, sharing books with friends and the joy of reading and re-reading a favourite book.

Cheryl Orsini’s colourful illustrations are wonderful as always and I utterly adore the end papers. A book lovers delight.

This is such a nice picture book; the colourful illustrations and the focus on how books can bring people together make this really special. If you ever had a favourite book that you read constantly when you were a child, this book will make perfect sense to you.

From the creative team of Natalie Jane Prior and Cheryl Orsini who brought to us The Fairy Dancers and The Tales of Mrs Mancini we have a picture book that celebrates books, librarians, libraries and the joy of reading. We absolutely fell in love with this book! With an enormous cast of characters from Lucy’s family, school and neighbourhood Lucy shares her love of reading for a very unique book. Lucy’s book is itself a special character and readers have the pleasure of watching what happens to ...more
