Dylan’s Cosydoze by Elsa Joseph is a wonderful picture book. Dylan must have his precious cosydoze to sleep and it goes missing at Granny’s house. Dylan’s drama will be enjoyed by all readers and listeners of all ages. A great book to discuss problem solving and patience. This well-written and beautifully illustrated read would be a welcome addition to any child’s collection.

What a wonderful story! The illustrations, the story written in rhymes... I loved it so much that I'll seek more books by this author.
I've read it with my daugter. She's just learning English at school and she had an amazing time reading this book and said it was super cute.

Dylan's Cosydoze is a wonderful tale about a child name Dylan and his sleeping blanket, without which he does not fall a sleep. Story is beautifully written and I loved the illustrations. It is must have and must read for kids' collection.

Dylan's Cosydoze is a wonderfully relatable book. As a parent, I have dealt with this exact meltdown many times. The rhythm of the story and the flow are exceptional. My son loved hearing it and related to Dylan. He has his blanket which he calls heya (because in Spanish it is cobija, and he only picked up the heya sound). He talked through the book about how he would feel if his heya was missing. The characters came to life for him and allowed him to feel the needed connection to hold a child's interest. I highly recommend this book for parents with young children. Mine is 3-years-old, and he completely related to the characters.

As always, I am on the prowl for books that sparks my son's interest in reading, but I like to read the books before I hand them over to the prince. We read this one tonight and it was excellent. I was captivated by the illustrations and having read the book first I was able to animate the rhyming story with grand Dr. Suess story-telling techniques.
Overall, this is a great, heart-warming read that should be on children shelves.

I like the premise of the story. I’ve been through that crisis with children before. It’s really tough to lose an object of affection.
The illustrations were so well done. I loved them.
My only concern is the tolerance for the misbehavior. If I were to read this story to little ones, we would need to chat about the inappropriate behavior during Dylan’s temper tantrums. But then that may be my age speaking, because I might need to speak to the parents concerning their behavior too. 😉
Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others.

I am not one to sugar coat my reviews. I appreciate all the effort and time it takes for an author to write and promote their thoughts and imagination into a book for us the public to read. Sometimes the characters are running around in their head waiting to get out. I respect and admire this.
I did not enjoy this book. I am afraid if I read this to my kiddos, they would come away with the knowledge of how to throw a fit better. We have all had the terrible night when the favorite sleeping object is gone. Everyone handles it differently. I'm just glad no one was around to see how I handled it.

What a beautiful little story that would touch every one of us that had a comfort blanket or toy that we could not sleep without and the constant fear that it will go missing. It’s a very sweet story and I love the illustrations that go along with it. This book really made me miss my Grandparents as it reminded me so much of visits to Nans.

GREAT READ!!!
Let me first say that the ending is very realistic for parents, and I found this extremely enjoyable. I also loved that the entire family looked for Dylan’s Cozydoze as a team, which promotes teamwork. I did read this to my class and they loved the book, I had two students who wanted to borrow the E-book during class reading time. I found that the book flowed easily and helped to connect different parts of the story in a way that was comprehendible to young readers. I also really loved the illustrations which my students were very drawn to, each picture works seamlessly with the story and this can be very effective for kids who are still working on their reading skills.
I highly recommend this book for parents looking to promote teamwork, someone looking for a story to show their kids just how tired parents can get, or a teacher looking to encourage helping those around you.

Dylan is a very happy little boy. He is happy because he, and his parents, are off to Grandma's house to spend the weekend. Dylan can barely contain his excitement, but curling up with his cosydoze (his favorite blanket) puts him right to sleep.
Dylan has a great time playing with Grandma. When Dylan's bedtime comes, his cosydoze is suddenly missing. A diligent search of the house fails to find it. Grandma tries to substitute one of her blankets for the cosydoze. Dylan replies with the little child equivalent of "No Way." Dad tries to distract Dylan with food; Dylan does not cooperate. Mom suggests that a trip around the neighborhood in an old pram (baby carriage) will put him to sleep. Dylan is very much not interested. It looks like the weekend visit to Grandma will have to be cut short. Where is Dylan's cosydoze?

Another children's book I am reading this year! And what a cute and fantastic story it is!!
Dylan and his parents have an adventure when his cozy doze is missing. And that made such a cute story to read. I am sure that my parents must have faced this issue too, I used to have a blanket, which eventually became a rag, whenever I slept. I think I still have one blankie I cuddle into. I can imagine their quandary when they couldn't find the rag I wanted!
Raising a child is hard. And most of the times, children want simple toys. They make that toy their world and having understanding parents is the best! This book sent me straight into my childhood.
I absolutely loved reading this book! I hope many parents spend their time with their kids reading fun stories out to them. I know when the time comes, I will be reading stories like this to them!

An entertaining read for children, Dylan’s Cosydoze tells a story that all children will relate to no matter what their favourite thing was, toy or cosydoze; sometimes there is only one thing that can make everything better. The illustrations are vibrant and really bring the story to life. Sometimes illustrations just reinforce the story but in this book, they help tell it by giving details that aren’t meant to be read but observed. It was quite short, it would have been nicer if it was a little longer, but overall it was pleasant and amusing. Perfect for young readers transitioning through reading levels.

Dylan’s Cosydoze is a wonderful easy-to-read children’s book written by Elsa Joseph. This book is about a boy named Dylan who is inseparable from his Cosydoze, (his favorite blanket that he loves to sleep with). Dylan and his parents decided to spend a relaxing weekend at Granny’s house, with Granny and her dog, Sundown. Once they arrived something unexpected happened.
After a full day of riding in the car and playing with Granny, Dylan began to get sleepy. The only way Dylan can sleep is by cuddling with his Cosydoze, but unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. Dylan noticed that his Cosydoze has gone missing and boy, oh boy he threw a temper tantrum like you never could imagine. Mom, Dad, and Granny, all know the wrath that was going to come from Dylan if they didn’t find his Cosydoze. So they did everything in their power to try to rectify the situation. Granny tried to soothe him with another blanket, but he throws it over her head. Dad tried to feed him, trying to make him sleepy but Dylan just threw his food all over the floor. Mom tried to take him and his toys for a ride but Dylan just tossed his toys with frustration. Nothing seems to work.
This story can help teach early literacy and comprehension skills to young readers because of its clear problem and structure solution. Stories like this really grab the attention of young readers. Everyone at some point or another has had a favorite toy, binky or something and have lost it a time or two wishing there was a superhero to come to save the day and lucky for Dylan there was!
The illustration in this book was phenomenal. The drawing is very detailed and colorful. Children have experienced all too many times losing a toy or comforter so they can definitely relate to Dylan. The book is very interesting and encourages young readers to want to read. You will find the consistency of rhyming words throughout this story. Children will be able to memorize the story and retell it in their own little words over and over again.
The author did a great job choosing this storyline and Dylan was the perfect character that children can relate to. I read this book with my 6-year-old and 7-year-old boys. They really enjoyed the moment and I did too. Our favorite part was when the author engaged with the readers to see if they were paying attention to the illustrations. So, of course, we had to go back into the story to search for a clue. This 27 page, easy to read children’s book should be in every home library or electronic device in every home.

Dylan’s Cosydoze is an utterly charming children’s picture book. The story focuses on Dylan and his family and the trouble which occurs when his favourite ‘cosydoze’ is lost. The love and care Dylan’s family have for him is palpable and makes this a truly heartwarming tale.
The illustrations are striking and instantly draw the reader in, being both colourful and vibrant with a consistent and comforting style. The story is perfectly encapsulated in the drawings which help to bring Dylan’s surrounding world to life. The warmth of Dylan’s Cosydoze is reflected in its illustrations with each of the relationships and personalities being subtly developed and explored through the visuals in the picture book. The illustrations are able to shine a spotlight on certain characters at pertinent points of the story and help to illuminate the different emotions of the parents and granny in particular. Important narrative details (including the solution to the main mystery of the story) are cleverly woven into the composition of the drawings, making them a key storytelling feature. I particularly like the hand-drawn aesthetic of the illustrations as it makes the picture book appear friendly and inviting to the reader. It would be better if every page had an illustration in order to maintain a consistent flow throughout the book: those pages which are absent any drawings do feel somewhat incomplete. However, the narrative carries the reader through this, and the blank pages could serve to punctuate the action of the story.

"Dylan's Cosydoze" by Elsa Joseph is an absolute delight that's sure to capture the hearts of both kids and parents alike. Dylan's Cozydoze is such a sweet children's story about Dylan and his favorite blankie, or as it's called a cozydoze. Dylan cannot go to sleep without it and travels everywhere with it. The story is relatable to anyone who has had a child in their family.
The book has such vivid and bright illustrations that can bring in any child reading along. the illustrations reminded me on the Roald Dahl illustrations. The illustrations are able to tell the story if the words are taken away. The story was written in rhyme, which for a children's book is great. you can read it or sing it, but either way the child you are reading to will want it join in on the reading fun. Although the illustrations are vibrant, one thing that I was stuck on was how Dylan looked much older than I think the author intended. It made it a bit hard at times to connect the face with the behavior/scenario Dylan was in.
Overall this book is a relatable, quick read that both children and adults can enjoy!

A beautifully illustrated, well written story that children will love (and parents will relate to!) about a little boy and his comfort blanket (his cosydoze).
My daughter loved this book and was completely captivated by it. She loved the intricate, colourful imagery in it, and enjoyed looking at the illustrations and identifying all the different items on each page. The rhyming meter of the story itself was another feature of the book both of us enjoyed. As a parent, it was easy to read aloud, and I found it kept my daughter’s attention far more than some other stories I’ve read her in the past. She loved it so much she’s asked me to read it to her (and her own “cosydoze”) half a dozen times in the last two days.
I highly recommend this book to any parent with young children, looking for a great story to read together!
And if your child has a comfort item, you’ll definitely be having a quiet chuckle by the end of the book and recognising yourself in Dylan’s parents!

Dylan's Cozydoze is meant for children under 5 years of age. Since the book is for children who cannot read independently, the book has a lot of illustrations that can tell the story stand-alone.
Reading it aloud, the book is very interesting as it is in verse, nothing very strict but enough to be pleasant to a young reader.
The story is very relatable to young children. Dylan, a little boy, has a blanket, rather a muslin cloth he is very attached to. He cannot sleep without it. So his parents take it along when they go to visit his Granny for the weekend. All goes well till it's time for bed and they cannot find his Cozydoze. Tantrums and a hunt for the missing blanket ensues.
The story ends on a sweet note that would make all young readers happy.
It is a short read at 26 pages, with little verses and plenty of pictures, just enough length to keep the young audience engaged during daytime and bedtime.

I’m always on the lookout for books that sparks my nephews’ interest in reading, so when this book was recommended; I grabbed it with both hands!
This book was read in one sitting to a 7 and a 5 y/o old boys.

Wonderful!! Wonderful!! Wonderful! I really enjoyed reading every single page of this book. Unlike other writers, This writer wrote this book for easy understanding by everyone! This story really reach out to my heart and i love every word of it. I didnt find a hard time reading this book because it was very easy to read and perfect for children.

This illustrated children’s book by Elsa Joseph has a simple, beautiful, and relatable story. Every parent and kids can relate to Dylan as a kid, the way he sulks when his favorite Cozydose goes missing. Less of a story and more of a narration of an incident, these 31 pager is enjoyable and heart-warming read.

My nephew and I adore this book. Every time I visit my relatives, I give my little nephew a book or toys. Then we all read or play together with him. It became a tradition. And all of us, adults and child, are looking forward to our meetings.
When I brought Dylan's Cosydoze by Elsa Joseph, the usual evening turned into Christmas. This book is a real holiday. A beautiful story told in rhyme, wonderful illustrations. My nephew has a teddy bear, with whom he never parted, because of it he sincerely empathized with Dylan. Thanks to the author for the wonderful plot and joy that this book gives not only to children, but also to adults.

This is a cute story of a child and his very important cosydoze. Dylan is a small child who can't sleep without his cosydoze. Then one day he and his parents go to his granny's house and there the cosydoze is lost. You have to read the story to know what happens after that. But this is crux of the story. Kids will love the story. This will be perfect for the kids who have just learnt how to read. One aspect of this should be specially mentioned and that is it's pictures. The pictures are really cute. All total a funny book for kids (excluding the fact that the dog's name is a little peculiar).

Cute little book to read to your child or grandchild. When Dylan and his parents go on a trip to Granny's they have a grand time, until something goes missing. I liked the rhyming/rhythm of this book, and I think kids will enjoy it, too. I received a copy of this book for my honest review, so it is possible that it would be more enjoyable as a paperback, than as the electronic version, because it seemed a bit out of order in some parts (words with pictures). I also felt the illustrations showed Dylan to be a little old for a crib, high chair and pram, especially since he is speaking full sentences. However, it was a fun book, and would make a good bedtime story.
