Waiting is fuckin over....as I finished reading highly expected sequel

The conclusion to Castello & Tatum's story...is as dark as it can possible be, it's heavy in subject and suffocatingly crippling, it's triggering, challenging and sometimes disturbing and yet I found the spark of light, just like they did while pushing through the limits of their existence, seeking sense and meaning in the accumulated pain, gore, betrayal and lies... as they find deliverance from the monsters within themselves and acceptance of the fate in the merciless, cruel world they chose to exist in, ruling together, side by side, as king and queen, as one.
As Tatum's world shattered to ashes, witnessing her father's death and the whole hell gone loose, the only things she can cling to is the vastness of darkness in the game of pleasure & pain masterfully conducted by the man who once wanted her dead, but now he's all she has - Castello Fattore, the enigma of dark, dangerous, ruthless and merciless mobster.
even if she's not clear with the position she's in, or what she is, or where she belongs, one thing is in plain sight - she is his...
And he will own her, rule her in every possible way until she knows of nothing else, no matter how hard she tries to defy him.
And Castello is gonna push her to the finest limits, he will break her only to make her stronger and prepare her for the role he has given her - to stand by his side, as his queen

But even with the new position within the family, she's still insecure, she needs to know, she needs to hear him say the words, she has to know what she is to him...
but then the unthinkable happens, and events that follow spin their newfound world of its axis...betrayals, secrets, lies...will destroy more than just lives, it will shatter the existence of a soul, but then Castello will go the unimaginable lengths to recover his queen, once again...
There are rare moments that I get to be surprised during the culminating unraveling of the plot and Bella J managed to do that. So that's an addition to this awesomeness of the delivered story - it's all that you expect to get from a dark read, it has triggers, it has gore and violence, suspense, twists, action and moments that will make your limits and boundaries breached and it's definitely not for the faint-hearted, so don't risk it unless you are ready to embark on a journey through the vast darkness of human emotions, physical liberation through the excessive sexual play of pain/hurt and pleasure , with remerkably portrayed characters within their consistent roles - Castello being, in fact, an anti-hero that pushes your boundaries through his controlling, demanding, possessive yet extremely protective and nourishing sense of sensual and emotional escapism, and a heroine that grows through it all, from ashes to become a queen, standing side by side her king.

In book 1 Blood & Lies Castello had a plan…
“Kidnap the golden girl of the Linscott family, then lure her father straight down to the hell I had specially prepared for both of them. And once I had my fun, extracted every last drop of revenge I craved from them, they would pay the ultimate price with their lives.”
But somehow Tatum gets under Castello’s skin and his plans change. Which brings us to book 2 Blood & Vows. The conclusion to Castello & Tatum's story and it is dark, sexy and delicious.
As the war between brothers wages on Castello must figure out what was between him and Tatum. Was it just their bodies craving each other…
“She needed my darkness the same way I craved her innocence.”
Or was it more than just lust…
“My queen by day…and my slave by night”
Tatum was also struggling with not only her feelings but her new place in Castello’s world. So she pushed him to make a decision. Is she his queen by his side or his slave at his feet?
“I knew I was playing Russian roulette with the devil, but my shadowed soul loved the game.”
Castello made his choice…
"I chose you. By tearing my family in two I chose you, Tatum. Above everyone else. Above loyalty, above my own flesh and blood, I fucking chose you. So stop acting like you don't know what or who you are to me. Stop pretending like you don't know what your part is in all of this. Because you know. You. Fucking. Know."

This series is full of blood, violence, dark play (sexual pleasure/pain), suspense, secrets, betrayals and lies and I loved it all!

If you, like me, found yourself deeply invested in Tatum and Costello from Blood & Lies, the first book in the Twisted Duet, and wondered if there were any secrets left to unearth and anymore twisted desires to be played out between these two, never fear. Bella J. is back with the completion of their story in Blood & Vows and ready to seduce us to go further into the web of deceit and betrayal weaved around the Fattore family to watch the Queen and King of Darkness struggle and flourish in their dark and gritty world.
Costello Fattore had me enchanted from the moment he started spewing his hate and venom towards Tatum in Blood & Lies and my fascination with him has just continued to grow and never be quenched with every new facet of him that is revealed. Costello continues to seduce Tatum and readers everywhere with his darkness and mystery and keep us drooling and riveted. While dark romance is not usually my cup of tea, Costello most definitely is with his devilish charm, domineering ways, and his white knight persona that makes an appearance from time to time. He keeps Tatum on her toes and strung out on desire and want with every move he makes!
Tatum Linscott finds herself spinning emotionally out of control with the blood that continues to flow between her and Costello from both of their families. Yet even with all the murder and deception, the bond between them has grown ever stronger and more confusing. Is she now his enemy or his ally? Will she be a part of his success or his downfall? Tatum engrossed me with each part of her old life that crumbles and the dark queen beneath that glimmers and surfaces.
Bella J delivers a romance that revels in the darkness and lets these characters deviant sides come out to frolic and entice. I highly recommend The Twisted Duet series for a story that is full of wicked and perverse fantasy and allows the reader to indulge at every turn! Bella J's writing has reached scorching, blood curdling levels and keep you addicted and captivated from the moment the first page is read!

This is the stunning conclusion to Tatum and Castello's story. This book was another gripping can't put it it down hot read!
Part two was filled with just as much darkness, lies and treachery as the first book. Not really knowing the truth until the end.
I highly recommend both books in this series and look forward to more gripping stories from Bella J!

Eeeeeep! At long last Bella J’s dark, diabolical and deliciously Twisted duet reaches a shattering conclusion in BLOOD & VOWS. After devouring book one back in February, awaiting the finale was SHEER TORTURE, but my patience was oh so richly rewarded! This adrenaline-pumping masterpiece was DECADENTLY SEXY & CHILLINGLY SUSPENSEFUL, WICKEDLY SINISTER & SO DARN ADDICTIVE, I could not bear to put it down!!
THE STORY:
First a recap… In book one, BLOOD & LIES, ruthless Italian mobster Castello Fattore had a gruesome plan of revenge in place to avenge his twin brother and father’s deaths…

But somewhere along the way, in between the torment and humiliation and venomous threats of hate, the line between captor and prisoner had been crossed and Castello found himself falling for his beautiful, brave “little mouse” who face his family’s wrath with the utmost resilience and honor. By book’s end, in the aftermath of a horrific bloodbath, Castello found himself aligning himself with the daughter of his worst enemy and igniting a full-on war with his younger brother, Vico, in a ruthless quest to rule the Fattore empire. MY THOUGHTS:
BLOOD & VOWS plunged me into a dark, deliciously deviant whirlpool of pleasure and pain that I wanted to be immersed in forever! Bell J continues to ASTOUND with her spellbinding prose which flows as effortlessly as the tears of crimson that steam off the pages. Her visceral, vibrant, atmospheric language evokes and entices and sweeps you up into a tsunami of intense, raging emotions and mind-bending pleasure that overwhelm the senses and inspires your most wickedly wanton fantasies!
Castello is the ULTIMATE King of Darkness. This formidable, filthy-talking, ferociously dominant anti-hero made me QUAKE with fear and WRITHE in ecstasy in equal measure! He is cruel yet kind, brutal yet tender, primal yet possessive.
“Nothing about him—about us—was soft, and gentle, and calm. Everything was hard—it was rough, turbulent, and aggressively passionate. Exactly the way I wanted it.”
Castello is NOT a man to be crossed and pity the man who dares to take—or threaten-- what’s rightfully his! The connection between our barbaric mafia king and his beloved queen was so COMBUSTIBLE and DELICIOUSLY AROUSING and SCARY INTENSE that I could literally feel the electricity pulsating through me. Throughout the course of this duet, these two bitter enemies-turned-red hot lovers take the best and worst parts of each other, then fuse the broken shards together to form one beautifully faceted whole.

Both these characters grow and evolve as they fall RAPTUROUSLY in love but their very essence remains intact. Castello still thrives on control, demands FULL obedience, and the thrill of the chase fuels his animalistic craving to possess and devour his pretty prey. But slowly but surely as flames of love penetrate his stone cold heart he begins to feel like he is truly living, not just existing.
Whereas, Tatum, comes fully alive by submitting and surrendering to his fierce iron will. “No matter how hard I tried, I just wasn’t strong enough to fight the darkness that lurked inside me, and Castello fed that darkness with his own.” His hot branding touch, which was “like a toxin and a cure all rolled into one dose of pure ecstasy,” proves EMPOWERING and ULTIMATELY HEALING as it sets her soul free from the painful shackles that enslaved her.
“My body, my desires, my need for an escape had become the scars… and Castello the knife.”
But despite the warped bond these two kindred spirits share, some tough choices must be made along the way as battle lines are drawn and they try to navigate the dark, murky waters of their perilous relationship.

Bell J continues to ASTOUND with her spellbinding prose which flows as effortlessly as the tears of crimson that steam off the pages. Her visceral, vibrant, atmospheric language evokes and entices and sweeps you up into a tsunami of intense, raging emotions and mind-bending pleasure that overwhelm the senses and inspires your most wickedly wanton fantasies!
Castello is the ULTIMATE King of Darkness. This formidable, filthy-talking, ferociously dominant anti-hero made me QUAKE with fear and WRITHE in ecstasy in equal measure! He is cruel yet kind, brutal yet tender, primal yet possessive.

The plan was simple kidnap the girl and have blood thirsty revenge. If you read book one you will know even the best plans fail.
The lies and deceit continue to run through this duet and family loyalties and sides are a big part of the plot as Castello goes up against his brother.
A gripping conclusion filled with an intensity that has you gripping on for life in the hope all will come good for Tatum and Castello.
A cleverly written plot by Bella J.
I loved the dominance and possesivenes of Castillo and the way Tatum blossomed into a woman with a strong backbone, a big leap from the girl we first met quivering in a corner.
A captivating dark read, definitely not for the faint hearted with blood play, self harm and bdsm.
I didn't enjoy the bdsm part of this book Castello was a domineering character to begin with, he was a leader and a man of power and the way Tatum craved him, was drawn to him and naturally submitted to him anyway made the master and pet aspect of this relationship to overboard with even more added dominance that I felt wasn't needed or maybe it's just me, I no longer read bdsm as I reader you could say I grew out of it to a point now were I roll my eyes at the yes master words, so you will have to come to your own conclusion on that one because I know some readers love it.
I enjoyed the latter part of this book and was more than satisfied with the hea.
I would definitely read more from Bella J, her words were intoxicating the journey with the characters was fulfilling, witnessing Castello and Tatum go from strength to strength in themselves as people and in their love, the plot was intense and addictive.

It seems like forever since I’ve been with Castello! It doesn’t matter how long it’s been, once he’s back, it’s as if he never left!
After the fiasco at the end of book One, I didn’t know what to expect. I mean with a mother like Castello’s mother, who needs enemies! That woman is cray-cray for real! Read Blood & Vows, vol 1, people!
Blood & Vows vol 2 definitely lives up to its name! This story is heavy on mafia intrigue and action, thank the book gods! B&V is a true mafia story with a taste of dark romance and a tad of BDSM! Yesssss! I highly recommend the duet! You won’t be disappointed!

Blood and Vows is the end of the Twisted Duet and I fell out of bed with the aww of it all. At the end of the first book, I knew there was quite of bit that needed to be answered and I wanted the answers right away. But Bella kept me hanging throughout the story, so don't think you will get them right away.
If you think Castello is all soft-hearted you could not be more wrong. He is even darker I think in this book, probably because he has more to protect. His queen is in need of protection and she will give him all the hell there is to give.
Tatum knows the cost there is to be Castello's queen but it takes some convincing to make sure she understands what is going on. Tatum knows there are bad people out there, but sometimes she seems to forget until Castello has to remind her in not such nice ways.
I fell in love with this couple in the first book and it did not change while reading this one.

We loved the conclusion to this well crafted tale.
The story got hotter and more intriguing and one that tore a family apart and pitted brother against brother.The story was also about revenge and love and forgiveness and righting the wrongs of ones past but, most of all it was about protecting all that you love and held dear and showing all just how dangerous and powerful Castello was to his enemies.
Castello was one of those character's that made you uneasy and scared of him constantly and if I am being honest scared the crap out of me and made me shaky but, you had to admire the strength and the power the man commanded.
We saw Tatum grow and blossom into a women who was accepting the demons that she resided her within and one who accepted that Castello was the only man who could give her what she needed to be at peace.Tatum was a lover and pet and sexual slave to Castello and he was master and her owner and lover and protector and the man who loves her and would protect her at all cost and even wage war with the ones who he calls family.
This was one intense dark read and one that was not the normal falling in love kind of story but it is one that was forged out of the depravity and the depths of hell.The story felt real and that you we living in hell with these characters."It felt that real!"
Castello was one of those character's that you could not help be drawn to.One of the things we love most about the man is he accepted who he was and what resided with him and never made excuses for who he is but, loved that fact that he wanted to be a better person and the man he thought Tatum deserved but, In reality Tatum needed him to be actually who he was all along because that man made her feel safe and protective.
This story took us on one he** of a roller coaster ride and we loved every bit of it.The story kept us engrossed and on edge and turning the pages to the very end yet again.The story was even more intriguing and even had more betrayals and more surprises and a whole lot of secrets that came to life that you never saw coming.

Bella J left us dumbfounded, amazed, and anxious at the end of Blood & Lies. The conclusion of the story of Castello and Tatum could not have been more intense, depraved with a plot twist like none other.
Castello has taken over his mafia family that has suffered a split with some preferring to join his rival brother Nico. The plan to kidnap torture and make Tatum a pawn in his game was obliterated once Castello realized she was the little mouse he would refuse to ever let leave his trap. This story is so dark and depraved with the cruel and harsh treatment of Tatum at the hands of Castello possibly hard for some to handle. What is worse is that we watch as Tatum falls into his hands and begins to crave that depravity. While reading this book you will stop and wonder how in the world she would ever allow the treatment she is receiving let alone crave it. Castello has unlocked a dark, lust-filled corner that has been tucked away inside Tatum that only his mind games can satisfy.
The kicker in all this- while you are reading this and trying to figure what the heck is going on, why she is allowing the treatment, how could he possibly treat her that way and still seem to truly like (maybe love Tatum) you are 100% rooting for this relationship. WHAT! So, am I depraved? The things suffered in what Castello's beliefs are to make Tatum stronger are mind blowing- but hey they seem to not only work but be completely satisfying, and again you go along with it, want it and think "yes- that's exactly what needs to happen"?? Again, am I depraved? LOL
The absolute shocking twist is brilliant yet leads to such tragedy. What is the recipe to heal all wounds...well revenge and blood of course!
Life lesson learned from Blood & Vows: there are going to be things you suffer in this life that are beyond your control that are going to be painful, even torturous, sometimes those things will be dealt by the hands of those you love most dearly. If you can withstand that pain and agony and fight to the other side, you will be stronger and ready for the next fight coming your way. Eventually those knocks will only make dents in the armor you have created around yourself.

Bella J. is simply the best author of dark romance. This story is twisted, dark and full of heat. The secrets, twists and turns keeps the reader on their toes. Oh my goodness!!! I had my finger on the purchase button the moment this book was available and just could not stop reading until I was done. This story had it all from hate to love, kidnapping, evil family members, etc. you name it and it was there.

Book 2 completed the story of Tatum and Costello. All I can say is WOW! You never saw that happening. In the first book you saw how Tatum and Costello loved to hate they brought out their dark side. This one they help each other tame the beasts. This book is dark and might offend some but I loved it and will be reading more by this author. I still can't believe the twist. I never saw it coming!

This is the second book in this duet and it must be read in order. Tatum and Castello’s story continues, she has been through a lot but she knows that she belongs to Castello and that she has fallen for him. Castello has no intention of giving up what is his and will keep Tatum save from whom ever it takes, including his own family. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and sizzling chemistry. Amazing characters with lots of depth and an entertaining story. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it.

Reeling with after shocks the revelations have huge ramifications for Castello and the future of his family. Causing a divide the split in his family means war. A battle for power, control and power inevitable. With his need to keep his little mouse safe from the family dispute he has made her a target as his younger brother wants her dead, blaming her for the death of their mother. Secrets and lies, hidden agendas cause more pain for Castello as the true war has only just begun. Tatum has embraced her situation with good grace and a rare ability to forgive as she loved her captor with her whole heart, he is able to take her inner demons and give her everything she needs before she even is aware that she is so desperately yearning to evolve and embrace the darkness within. They are truly magnificent together stoking the flames of desire into a blaze that threatens to consume their whole world and leave nothing but ashes in their wake. Facing their fears head on, can they survive the final horrors and the ultimate manipulation?
Again I have to recommend this author and her amazing writing that sucked me in and spat me back out. I loved the plot twists and the darkness that consumed this story, it’s edgy and twisty and my black heart loved it 🖤 The pace and plot quickens, reaching a crescendo that left my mouth dry and my heart beating out of my chest. It’s brutal and sad, yet they endure and are stronger for everything they survive. I loved this duet and the covers are beautiful too which is always an added bonus as I do like my kindle filled with pretties!

BLEW ME AWAY.!!!!!!! So this book starts exactly from where we were left with Castello and Tatum in Blood and Lies. Now that Castello has proven his passion for Tatum by declaring war on his own family, Castello and Tatum find themselves fall deeper, harder and fiercely for each other. Ohhhhhhh my.... my heart... Even though some of things they like to do are questionable and definitely not sane yet the passion and intensity of their feelings is undeniable. Castello has declared Tatum as his queen and he would not stop at anything for protecting her, his queen. Especially the tattoo scene is one of my utmost favorites. Makes me want to have a similar one for myself. ANNDDD THEN.. WHATTTT!!!!!!! NOOOOO!!!!! No wonder I, even though would have never thought of the twist that comes but being a Bella J book, the gut wrenching, shocking twist was bound to happen. THAT SCENE THOUGH BROKE MY HEART AND I HAD TO LITERALLY BREATHE FOR A MOMENT. Castello and Tatum are two such strong people and in this book we not only see them fall in love but also witness their unbeatable strength and raw passion for each other. 5+ little mouse stars!! A spine tingling, goosebumps inducing conclusion!! I loved every second of this book, and Castello was even more dominant, possessive and protective than ever before! I swooned at the way he loved Tatum so deeply! It was as if he wanted to crawl into her and just live there forever! This book was jaw dropping and had me on the edge of my seat!

It was a thrilling story and certainly a terrific addition to this gritty, extremely dark, heart-pounding read. It was an addictive story, and brilliantly told, it had me gasping and flipping those pages as quick as I could read, wanting to know what was coming next.
This addition to the story was full of emotions, lies and surprising treachery that knocked me for six, and not really knowing the truth drove me crazy.

Sometimes the biggest enemy it's at your own house! I couldn't even imagine where Bella J would of takes us with this last book.... And to the end of the hell to Tatum it has.
But in the end a king and a Queen have born more strong, powerful.

Could not put it down.. what an ending.. but the ending ending.. ugh

Book 2 of this duet was just as dark and twisted as the first book of the series. Both novels were based upon "a perceived perception" of what the actual truth was vs. reality. The story was crafted in a way that everything Castello thought happened or was happening was a complete lie when it came to his family. He was constantly being out-played by his family in book 1 and continued that pattern in book 2. I found his character to be extremely dark, ruthless and malicious, who loved inflicting pain, and suffering and mayhem to those he thought wronged him, even those who were innocent of any wrong-doing. His character happily dwelled in the darkness of his mind. I have read numerous Mafia genre novels with men such as Castello who I was able to connect with. I never felt a connection to his character until the final third of this book. Some characters aren't worth redeeming but even Castillo's character redeemed itself by books' end.
Tatum is an innocent victim of Castillo's darkness and his obsession for revenge. She is a pawn in a family's sick desire to overthrow and rewrite the future leader of the family and to gain the power and money lost to them by Castillo's father. His treatment of her throughout both books at times is outrageous and sick. His need to ruin her, destroy her light and bring her into his darkness succeeds. She not only becomes his "pet" she becomes his obsession while he battles his own internal demons. I would have preferred that her character brought light to Castillo's darkness but, instead is enveloped by his darkness.
Tatum's character is strong in so many ways as she is abused throughout both books. both physically and mentally but when it comes to Castillo, she is blinded by what she calls love. The abusive fence she straddles through both books is at times horrifying and yet she keeps enduring one incident after another. The thing with fiction is that you can craft a love story from a horror story and get a HEA. The epilogue brings the story full circle to a completion that will resonate with many readers. The darkness that our anti-hero dwelled in for so long is finally replaced with light as well as darkness. Castillo and Tatum find true love amongst all the destruction and rubble and find peace and a future neither thought was possible, with the birth of their daughter.
The writing and editing is good and if you can get beyond all the blood and gore and degradation of Tatum's character, then you will enjoy this book.

But I must tell you something... This duet is not a standalone therefore you must read Blood and Lies first and only then grab this one.
This new book continues to tell Tatum and Castello's story...
I'm speechless right now... I'm stunned... My head is spinning... What... How...When...

Superb plot, super engaging, intense and surrounded with a thick layer of darkness... Dayum...
This book was the perfect ending to an amazing duet.
It had darkness, crime, madness, deceive, betrayal as well as love, loyalty, family bonds, hope and some dark and twisted hot scenes... Just the way I like it.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to scream my head off and cry so freaking hard... But there were others that I saw myself wanting to hold the mains characters and promised them better days.
Do you know that nagging feeling telling you that nothing is what it seems? Well let just say that... I can't say more... I can't and I refuse to spoil.
But I can guarantee you that if you want to read a duet, filled with darkness as well as desire just grab this one... And once you finish it go have a look at this amazing author mafia series "Royal Mafia"... Just go for it and get ready...

I received a copy of this book to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Blood and Vows is the second book in A Twisted Duet from Bella J. You have to have read Blood and Lies or you are going to be very lost in Blood and Vows.
Castello still owns Tatum. The matter of her freedom has not yet been addressed, and she won't demand it in fear that he might it to her. She is no longer and unwilling prisoner, but rather an eager participant. His touch makes her come alive with wicked delight and she has given up fighting it.. Her life changed forever. Pleasure and decadent sins of lust invaded both her body and mind. But, death and grief have also infiltrated her soul, and now the image of her father's lifeless body haunts her, filling her nights with dreams of revenge and the bitter red of blood. They can not change the past, but their future is still undecided. The tables have turned. A strong family now stands divided and now it is war. The war or brothers. The war of blood. Castello made it clear that he would fight this war with her as his queen, and that's what she intended to be. His Queen.
Oh how I fell for Castello in this book. The poor guy is in a position he never had any interest in being in in the first place but now that he knows he has been lied to by his family he is not really sure what to do or how to feel about it. The one thing he does know is that nothing if going to happen to Tatum. She completes him and is his Queen. They have been through so much together that he is not sure that Tatum would stay on her own. He is to scared to find out. However as the book goes on you will find out the answer to this burning question and so many more. I will tell you that I loved this story from beginning to end. I loved how Castello was toward Tatum. These two are so meant to be together and need to stay that way. However as the head of the family Castello knows that their is danger for Tatum and is going to protect what is his at all costs. I will too tell you that boy oh boy was my mouth hanging from my jaw toward the ending of this book. I sure didn't see that coming from a million miles away and I also am super upset about something else that happens. I mean throw your kindle with tears in you eyes blessing the author with words they probably do not want to hear. I am still in shock today actually.
Bella J has written an amazing conclusion to this series. It is one you don't want to miss.

When things get more intricate, Castillo vows to protect Tatum from any harm that may come to her by way of his brother or his world. Can he keep that promise?
There is so much deceit, disloyalty, and blood shed that it keeps the reader absorbed in the story from beginning to end!!

This is the second book of the series and it’s better than the first! Intense, drama very shocking crazy messed up family that leaves you with your mouth hung up asking what did I just read. It stars off right where the last book ended and what a rollercoaster ride it is. Will Tatum ever be safe and able to leave? Will Castello open up his hart will the darkness be overflowing with him forever? The close to the ending of this book totally shocked me and gutted me. Weak female Protagonist
I find it rather exhausting reading through stories with such weak female protagonists. Like WTF. Is it so hard to write a strong female character who at least tries to escape her captor instead of just falling in love and wanting just D**K ??
The female protagonist father dies and she never considered escaping to grieve with her family??? How it would affect her mother or her brother ??? All she wanted was to get f**ked till Sunday????
Don’t get me wrong this story was absolutely amazing but I just wish the author wrote the female protagonist with a bit more backbone instead of making her a slave for D**K.

Wowza! That ending was soooo not what I had imagined! So much blood spilled and so many lives taken. I can’t even be sad about it either. Revenge is a sweet evil.
