Gift from Jolene that I should have read a while ago

“We live in time so little time And we learn all so painfully.
That we may spare this hours term
To practice for eternity.”

A lovely little book that I had originally gifted to my Mom. The inscription reminded me of her agoraphobic nature ‘For My Favourite Armchair Traveller’. I am keeping it for the lovely prose and poetry by classic authors and the beautiful photos by Mr Heffron (and because it was Mom’s). #1373.

Poetic praise for historic covered bridges. I'm a fan of old covered bridges, and this photo-filled book effectively evokes the romance of the old fixtures of Americana.
