I want a book with a completely new girl who later on falls in love with Chris. And maybe I sorta kinda want her name or nickname to be Lenni... I LOVE CHRIS💜💜💜But really, who else agrees there should be a book in which Chris finds his true mate?
Okay, now for my actual review of Being Alpha. First, let me just say how excited and honored I am to have been accepted for an advance copy of this book. I first started the books when I was in 6th grade and have been completely o

5 stars for Being Alpha! Just when you thought dark magic couldn’t get any darker…

I love it when a main character actually grows over the course of a series. Developing as a person, becoming more confident. Without any spoilers (ever!), Tessa has done just that. I loved her in the beginning, and I love her now. I just finished Being Alpha about five minutes ago, and I already can’t wait for the next one!

When an idyllic vacation is interrupted by death and terrifying visions, Tessa has to get bac

This is the Tessa story I didn't know I needed!

The last Tessa book dealt with Luciana and married Tessa to Dastien, so I wasn't sure there was a story left here. It turned out I was wrong, there was a big threat left that had been clearly set up that I hadn't thought about. I didn't feel like something fake had been created in order to revisit these characters.

This book also starts to deal with the fact that because Tessa has so much Alpha power, some things are inevitable, no matter what Tessa

Aileen Erin leads the pack with book seven in the Alpha girl series, BEING ALPHA. The story starts out on Tessa met Dastien honeymoon in the Caribbean. Tessa is supernaturally attacked and the couple head home to Texas to investigate the occurrence.

Tessa and friends cannot catch a break. So much has happened in this series in a very short timeframe. Just when they think that everything is finally going to settle down, something else pops up. The supernatural community is a mess, and it is up to

Book 7 of the Alpha Girl series. I haven't read the first 6, so going in I was ready to not know ANYTHING about this world. and to see just how much I could garner from the book, I didn't even read the description first, but that didn't matter. Aileen does an amazing job with summarizing what has happened in previous books in a natural way. Within the first couple chapters I knew most of what I needed to, to fully grasp what was going on; and while I continued to gather new information through B ...more

My Thoughts: I have mixed feelings on this one. I really loved the first six books of this series. I'm not sure if the author meant this as a transition book or what but it seemed to be a step back while not having a whole lot of substance.
A lot of this book felt like making already established characters seem lesser so Tessa seemed like more. I'll start with the demons. Someone besides Tessa, since she was one of the last to know, should have been able to figure out where/how the d

Holy crap! Literally holy...

Tessa is in for the fight for her life. Let me tell you one thing the blurb is completely miss leading, but I’m happy it is, because I was expecting a different outcome and I got something way better.

I am in love with Tessa and Dastien so much in this book, because their bond is stronger than ever. They are fighting harder than ever before. I couldn’t put the book down; I finished it in one sitting.

Alright getting into the characters. Tessa really comes into herself

The 7th installment in the Alpha Girl series takes Tessa and pulls her right from her honeymoon with Dastien and straight into demonic hell.

It’s been weeks of bliss for the both of them, when Tessa started feeling a little off. And then a lot off when she felt like she’s sliced alive and then die. Freaky, right? It turns out there’s more to things than any of them thought.

The balance of the supernatural world is shaken, which gives Luciana’s head honcho the opportunity to claim Tessa, and this o

I don't know why I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but based on what I have read here, I think I have missed out.  I was able to follow the threads and the interpersonal relationships, but I think that my overall enjoyment of the story would have been greatly enhanced if I had been familiar with the back story.

This was a much quicker read than the page count would suggest.  The world building is clearly already done.  The relationships already established.  But this still fee

I received an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review but as with the other books in this series I already had that baby on pre-order, that arrived this Tuesday, I just get it a bit early this way ;) This is the 7th book in the series which might be intimidating but they are so good and super-fast reads. I have reviewed all the books in the series if you’re interested or need a refresher.

I really liked the starting books of the series, but as I read more and more, the excitement lessens and I see things that I don't like.

Throughout the whole story, I felt that Tessa's character was very lackluster. Tessa tries to save everyone as usual, but she doesn't shine even though she's supposed to be the hero. The author has a good plot outline, but she doesn't milk it for all it's worth. After a major scene or action, the author just decides to let Tessa to not think about it, suck it u

Another installment in this universe and another too quickly read book! These books go by so very quickly, with the pacing making me think I just started reading. I could gobble up a dozen of these novels!

We join Tessa and Dastien, firmly in their honeymoon mode. Of course, the evil forces that ruin all things will not let them enjoy too much happiness and end up throwing them a curve ball. Thought the baddies were gone with Luciana? Think again! They are forced to get their allies back together

It was great to see Tessa and Dastien again, but the storyline in BEING ALPHA wasn't as exciting as early books in the Alpha Girl series.

I didn't love BEING ALPHA, but I didn't hate it. I enjoyed getting to see Tessa and Dastien in action again. I enjoyed getting to see most of my favorite secondary characters, and I also enjoyed seeing some of them find peace with everything that has happened to them.

All I could think about after finishing BEING ALPHA was 'what was the point of making this bo

Being Alpha (Alpha Girl #7)
by Aileen Erin
This book is not entirely a stand alone book, yes new readers can get into the story but there are a fair number of references to prior books, and prior stories. It's like coming in to the middle of a series, enough explanation to understand whats going on but a lot of stuff that happened before. Being Alpha is about coming into what you are made to be. She ties many sides together, Tessa has a lot going for her. She was raised human, learned to be a w

Another whirlwind in the Alpha Girl series. Tessa thought it was all over--the chaos instigated by an evil witch. But it seems the deals made in her nefarious endeavors left lingering troubles for the witch/shifter, her mate Dastian, and her other shifter, fae and witch friends and family. On top of all those paranormal species, this book adds more demons and one of their counterparts to the mix, which definitely keeps things interesting--and I'm excited to see where that goes. I have to be hone ...more

This series started out as a teenage romance with some supernatural thrown in and was perfect for Twilight fans. Unfortunately, the last few books have been "epic quests" to find McGuffins. The big bads are ludicrously over-powered, yet inexplicably choose to not kill the good guys on first contact, but instead allow plenty of time for counter-measures...

Unfortunately, I think this author has gone too far down this story arc to pull it back to the interesting coming-of-age-as-a-witch/werewolf s

Happily newly wed Tessa and Dastien want nothing more than to enjoy their honeymoon and, for once, not think about the pack or demons or crazy witches. But, when Tessa almost dies, there is no way they can stay away from home any longer. Coming back makes it clear that Tessa has a problem, a big one. A demon is attached to her and he wants her power, all of her power. That means she will be dead, if Dastien and the other pack members can't help her get rid of this demon.

Just when you think it can't get better

I was so excited to read this new installment of the Alpha Girl, I made sure I had the time, cause I was not going to put it down! Now, this story, I didn't think it could get any better. But it did! It took loose strands that I didn't even realize were loose and started braiding then together. The dynamic, the relationships, the new ways that Tessa's world gets turned upside down were what made this book with reading. Just when you think she has a hold of

Nice to return to familiar characters. More of the good guys fighting the demons.
I was very disappointed that I bought this book and it was apparently dictated with no effort at proofreading. There were dozens of mix-ups of lay and lie. Other homophone errors included its/it's, fairing/faring, phase/faze, lead/lede, ticked/ticced, blonde/blond, on to/onto. Adjectives were frequently used as adverbs, like was used for as, that for who. Some apostrophe s plurals, misplaced commas and hyphens. Many

It was a good addition to the series although it could use a bit more editing. It was nice to hear more about the other characters. I'm so happy that Chris has someone, even if he doesn't really have her just yet. I hope things work out between Aidan and Shane. I wish Meredith was more in the story but I understood that she can't necessarily come jumping into the fray with the others. Still, it was nice to catch a glimpse of her and Donovan. I hope to hear more about Samantha and Eli in the futu ...more

A very fast moving book

This was another very good book in the series. It was very fast moving. The characters were also well written as usual. Looking forward to the next book which will be Chris and Cosette. There is also possibly Blaze & Beth and Sebastian & Samantha in the future. Interesting that all the pairs start with the same letter but I could be wrong with the pairing. The series has the potential to go on for a very long time which I hope it does as I always enjoy reading in th

Was confused by the summary about what the book was supposed to be about because I had thought it said in a way that Dastien gets kidnapped but he never did. So maybe it was by accident with the summary oh well. Really liked the book but sometimes the conversations felt cut short a lot and yes I know they were on a time schedule but I just feel like it could have sounded better in some parts but I really loved the book and I loved how Tessa and Dastien stuck together. Ahh, I don't have words! I loved this so much. Things just got more and more intense by every page and I loved it! I didn't want it to end...

This was simply the best conclusion to the series and I'm sad it's over. If I could, I would definitely read more of this amazing world and the amazing characters.

Although, an eighth book is coming but it will be more about Chris and Cosette. I will miss reading about Tessa and Dastien, for sure!!

I'm so happy I found this series because this was awesome!

I enjoyed this. It occurred to me that these books are a little like episodes in a favorite TV series. There’s a main character and a solid, interesting-in-their-own-right supporting cast, an overarching storyline or two, and then each individual episode. Although the supporting cast stories fit the romance genre probably more than a TV series. Anyway, perfect weekend enjoyment.

I was waiting so long for this book to come out and it was a little disappointing. Tessa was linked to a demon and it left it open for a new story but didn't say what happened did everyone get the much needed breaks? Waiting for a year a book is a little much. I really loved this series but after this one I am very disappointed.
