My favorite of the series! Slider is a single dad that has distanced himself from those he loves. It takes an amazing woman to make him open up to possibilities and return to the fold.

I loved how the story came together. This was what I wanted from the series. It’s got heart, a solid plot, great character development and hot chemistry. The kids were used well to add emotion to the scenes. I enjoyed the glimpses into past couples and the reinforcing of the Raven Riders as guys willing to toe the line into bad to protect the good.

Safety: No others for either. Yes to rape and emotional abuse.

If you have been following the Raven Rider’s Series, Sam “Slider” Evan’s story has been my highly anticipated read and how could it not be. Hot single widowed dad. Check! Two adorable sons. Check! Sweet caring nanny. Check! Smoking hot chemistry. Check! Raw palpable love story. Check! Check! Check! So yes, you can imagine my anticipation for Slider’s story and let me just say Laura Kaye did not disappoint at all.

115d48dace6df8758e6e0667014060 This can be enough. Just getting to kiss you is a fucking privilege.”

Sam “Slider” Evan is part of the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club but when his wife passed away from cancer two years ago, it has left Slider feeling lost and empty. Even though he is a Raven, Slider has distanced himself from club duties and his brothers at the MC. Instead, Slider's life is consumed with work and his two boys.

#RideWild

As a single father, Slider is well aware that he needs help and so he hires Cora Campbell as the nanny. Cora happens to be the best friend of Haven Randall, who is the girlfriend of Dare Kenyon, the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President. Both Haven and Cora have found safety and happiness within the Raven’s club after escaping their cruel fathers.

115d48dace6df8758e6e0667014060 Because Cora mattered. Because, goddamnit, he was falling in love with her. Despite his rules and his fears and his insecurities. He was falling in love with Cora Campbell.”

It doesn’t take long for Cora to instantly fall in love with Slider’s two sons, Sam and Ben. Right away, the two boys easily forms a bond with Cora as she was kind, nurturing, and became like a mother figure for them. And so you could imagine, it didn’t take long for the boys to fall in love with her and vice versa.

#RideWild1

As Slider witnesses his boys falling in love with Cora, he too can’t help but fall in love with her too. Cora sparked something inside him. It made him feel alive. She filled his heart with so much love, joy and happiness. She saw him. The real Slider Evans and accepted his brokenness. And most importantly, she healed his heart and loved his two sons unconditionally. But what happens when Cora witnesses a crime that could jeopardize her safety and life? How far will Slider go to protect Cora and his second chance at love? Can Cora finally get the family that she always dreamed and hoped for with Slader and his sons?

115d48dace6df8758e6e0667014060 It’s me.” His eyes flared with understanding. “It’s me, loving you. And, Jesus, Cora. I do. I love you so fucking much.”

The sexual and emotional chemistry between Slider and Cora was pure bliss. These two were made for each other as they both found healing within each other. Their relationship was written in such a palpable and heartfelt manner that readers like myself could feel the honesty and conviction of their love for each other. So if you are looking for a story that was brimming with so much raw emotions and healing, then I highly recommend you to read this book. Prepare to fall in love with Cora, Slider and his two boys.

In Ride Wild we have the third installment in the Raven Riders Series....the sexiest and breathtaking series that Laura Kaye has brought to her readers. In every installment we have been given, we get in touch with this unique MC....a group of brothers that love to ride free, have each others backs and never give up on each other.

In this brilliant installment, Ride Wild, is a romance that pulls you in for the wild ride and refuses to let go until your breathless and wanting more. Laura Kaye has outdone herself with Ride Wild. Ever since I read book one Ride Hard I was captivated by these Raven Riders, and with each book, I only become more fascinated by these men and women who steal my heart. In Ride Wild, our story sets off with a character that we have seen since book one but have yet to see her story. A young woman who is carefree, strong willed, and loves a good party. But she has a past, a dark one, just like everyone else that is part of the Raven Riders. Cora Campbell has been babysitting for "Slider" two adorable boys who lost their mother to cancer two years previous. All three boys are still struggling to get back on their feet and find some joy in life again. Cora makes these two young boys come alive, she makes them smile and be happy. But their father is much more complex and will take much more work. Slider also has a past, a secret he has had to keep from everyone, but it haunts him every day. When Slider offers Cora a position as his "nanny" to provide more for himself and his boys, she agrees. But with Cora living in the same house, sparks sly between Slider and Cora and their attraction builds into something more real and permanent. But reality comes crashing down when Cora becomes embroiled in a plot, a dangerous one that could put all their lives in danger and it will take the whole workings of the club and their fellow friends to bring down their enemies and find peace once again.

Oh my goodness...what a story Ride Wild turned out to be and I just couldn't put this one down...not once. I was lucky enough to read this one on my day off. So I could just enjoy the wild ride that Laura Kaye has given us. I have been itching for Cora's book since reading Ride Hard. I have just loved her characters, and how she just draws people to her. You see how her personality brings out the best in people. But in this book, we see a deeper side to her character. We see the demons of her past that become unveiled, and my heart just went out to her. I love seeing how it hasn't broken her, only made her stronger. The charming way she is with Slider's two boys, is so tender at times. I know having kids in a romance may not be for everyone, but honestly Laura Kaye totally worked this element in all the right ways. She had me wishing these two boys were my own. Then we have the romance that builds between Cora and Slider. These two are just made for each other. They really balance each other's strengths and weaknesses in the right way. Of course there are plenty of hot and heated moments between these two but not too much to overkill the plot either. It was simply great seeing these two connect on various levels. Their relationship felt so realistic to me, its probably why I was so captivated by their romance. Slider and Cora are a unique couple, and they just rocked this book in multiple ways.
Look at this face. Look into these eyes. And never, ever doubt that you're looking at your biggest fan, your staunchest defender, and the man who will always hold you up and have your back.
The plot of the story that really will give you tingles up the spine. Even though I love that Laura Kaye brought this element into the story to give education to the readers, it will still heart wrenching to read. I had no idea that this was even done in the real world, and it only added authenticity to the story. I definitely recommend that readers watch out with Ride Wild because this book will take you on twists and turns, adventures and thrills, with some dangers along the way and a wonderful blend of passion, true love and the great unit that is the Raven Riders. Buckle your seats because this is a ride you won't want to miss!! BREATHTAKING IN EVERY WAY!
Cora already knew where she belonged. And Slider already knew she was his forever. And they both knew love. So much love.

5 Cora and Slider Stars

Awwww! This MC read gave me ALL the feels. I loved Slider and Cora both together and in their own right. I was curious about Sam 'Slider' Evans because he was almost a peripheral member of the MC in the previous books - always carrying an air of sadness and weariness about him since his wife's illness and death , he was there but not there. It was like someone had dimmed the brightness in him. But then Cora arrived and slowly but surely she chipped away at the wall he had put up around himself and his two boys. Watching Slider change back to the fun, sweet and passionate man he once was , was just gorgeous to see.

For being wrecked, broken, and more than a little lost, Slider Evans had a well of sweetness so deep that Cora wasn't sure how she'd ever find her way out. Or even if she wanted to.

Slider has been to Hell and back. I often steer away from books about dead spouses but I was already hooked on this series and I was itching to know about this quiet man. Well, I'm so glad I did read it. I never once felt that Cora was competing with a dead wife for Slider's affection but equally Slider never diminished the importance of his wife in the respect of being mother to his two sons. And those boys....so adorable. They are so well written - never precocious but always so endearing and funny that I just wanted to take Ben and Sam home.

Supporting characters play a huge part in this story and there is plenty of drama and tension to balance out the romance. If you are a fan of a less gritty MC read then this is perfect. It does have dark moments - animal abuse is prevalent and distressing to read but this is tempered by how sweet Cora (and the Evans men) are towards animals.

I really, really enjoyed this story about a sweet heroine and her handsome, loyal and heart stoppingly lovely Biker.

HEA? Yes. Left me beaming ear to ear.
Cheating? Absolutely not. These two are totally into each other and so loyal.

Re read via audible in June 2020
This is one of my 'go to ' books when I need an old favourite to read. I dived into the audio version and loved every minute. Slider and Cora are two of the very best leading characters I have ever read. This book has a special place in my kindle heart.

I should know it better than picking up thia book. Ride Hard did not work for me because stupid naive heroine. I thought Ride Wild is better due to RT nomination.

I give it a try until 4th hour of the audiobook ans give up. The hero and the heroine are suck. Just suck!

“This can be enough. Just getting to kiss you is a fucking privilege.”

My absolute FAVORITE of the series! These characters were EVERYTHING! Laura Kaye SLAYS in this genre EVERY SINGLE TIME!

RIDE WILD, book three in Kaye’s INCREDIBLE Raven Riders series, took me on the RIDE of my life, charming me with each turn of the page with the gruff and broken Slider, and the charming yet feisty Cora Campbell. These two are a match made in MC Romance heaven! I loved their banter, their chemistry, their intense passion they had for one another. Once the lines were blurred, THE HEAT WAS ON, and I loved every single second of it!

“Look at this face. Look into these eyes. And never, ever doubt that you’re looking at your biggest fan, your staunchest defender, and the man who will always hold you up and have your back.”

I mean, could Slider BE anymore SWOONY?! I fell in love with his character long ago and when his story popped up on my iPad I was so freaking GIDDY! This man has been through HELL, and yet he has the strength to raise and provide for his children. Nothing else matters but his sons and he is just going through the motions day by day. Sweet and lovable Cora Campbell makes it a little bit easier, blending into his family so perfectly. Slider knows that the lines between employer and employee can never be crossed but Cora doesn’t make it easy on him at all. They both can fight their attraction tooth and nail, but in the end, the passion and connection win out. These two definitely SET THE PAGES ON FIRE!

“Will you…will you be my person, Cora?”

Slider and Cora aren’t the only ones stealing the show in this beautiful romance. Slider’s two sons, Sam and Ben are SO STINKING CUTE! The love that they have for Cora is so heartwarming and cute, I could barely take it! These two definitely played as the cute comic relief when things got tough, and I LOVED the dialogue between the two.

All in all, Laura Kaye swept me right off my feet once again with her flawless writing and amazing and lovable characters. The Raven Riders have become like family to me and it was hard to say goodbye to them, but the epic journey in meeting all of them and watching them find their other half was one I will never forget! If you love MC Romances or Romantic Suspense or Single Dad Romances, make sure you scoop up RIDE WILD asap! You will NOT be disappointed!

Argh. I'm annoyed. Because this was easily going to be a 5 star read up until the 50ish% mark when the syrupy cheesy dialogue took over out of nowhere and ruined the beautiful momentum and sexual tension Kaye created in the first half. Whhhhhhhhy? I loved gruff, heartbroken, grieving, world-weary Slider Evans slowly falling for Cora Campbell. The slow tentative build up was so good, believable and delicious. But then Kaye had to freaking ruin it after the couple finally have sex with the constant pouring out of feelings and "sweetheart" endearments jumping out of Slider's mouth that's littered throughout the rest of the story. And out of all the damn endearments that exist, why did it have to be sweetheart ? 😩

I'm sorry. I just fucking hate that endearment so much. It's like nails on a chalkboard for me. And I usually love endearments but the one I can't stand at all is 'sweetheart' because it comes off so patronizing even when it's not meant to be. It also comes off unrealistic and trying too hard the more it's used. I usually let these kind of things go when it's not so obvious or obnoxious. But here it was everywhere in the last quarter of the book that it became distracting and watered the characters down a little for me. And that bothers me. My issue is not just the use of it, my issue is that out of anyone Slider of all people would not be using that endearment and so much like this. Yeah he's a complete softy underneath but he never struck me as one who is flowery with his words and pouring it on so thick too, even when not grieving. So yeah it was overkill and just so unnecessary. Especially having the couple confess ILYs at the halfway mark was kind of jumping the shark. Too soon. Not that I wasn't buying the ILYs, I definitely bought these 2 falling for each other, I just wish Kaye paced things better in the later half. The dialogue and tone in the second half started to eerily remind me of another author who does this very OTT sticky sweet thing which turned me off completely from their writing. I really hope Laura Kaye doesn't fall in that same rut of a pattern. The constant gasping and "sweet man" remarks?....oy. Just typing it makes my eye twitch. But other than that, I enjoyed the slow build up in the first half and Slider's 2 boys little Ben and Sam were the sweetest things. Gosh they were adorable and broke my heart. Laura Kaye really knows how to pull at the heartstrings when she wants to.

‘Ride Wild’ focuses on the emotional journey of a widower struggling to get his life back, though it isn’t for the reason every one imagines it to be. It’s only the arrival of a babysitter (a secondary character who escaped the clutches of her evil father in previous books) needing her own sense of worth and identity that his life starts to turn around.

By and large, that was done fairly well. I did like Slider and Cora together, because both did seem ready to move on, needing only the right motivation to do so without the usual push-pull dance that most pairings undergo. Slider had my sympathy when his reasons for withdrawal from everything became clear, as did Cora—to some extent—as she struggled with trying to figure out her life at 24.

There isn’t too much angst on the romance aspect which Kaye heavily throws the spotlight on for most of the book; it’s a gradual journey of attraction and desire to a domestically blissful relationship that is established before the MC affairs kick in which sort of provide the suspense towards the end of the book.

Kaye’s ‘Raven Riders’ doesn’t quite read like a usual MC romance though; it skirts the hardcore, violent edge instead, (‘Ride Wild’ even more so) and presents female characters a little more needy and weepy than I’m used to in contrast to the large, tattooed men with even larger motorcycles. It’s not a bad mix really, though Kaye’s portrayal of the MC as a big, happy, loyal family got me sceptical at times, along with the significant age gap between the more ‘experienced’, career-established older men and the women who are younger and less sure-footed about their lives. Still, there are rival gangs, the problem of dogfighting and corrupt police officers though those really don’t take the shine away from Slider’s and Cora’s happy times in what has to be one of the most affirming MC stories I’ve ever read.

4.5 Stars

This is the 3rd book in the series and each one seems to top the next. This one ticked all my boxes: single parent, grieving widow, smart and resourceful heroine, a little bit of intrigue and a whole ton of steamy romance. Loved this one.

The synopsis grabbed me and I hung on for the 'ride'. I am such a fan of the broken hero. We have seen Slider in the previous books but always on the outside--not behaving like the rest of his brothers. And Cora has her own demons to slay but she is willing to go the extra mile. She falls in love with Slider's boys first and then slowly helps him remember that he is a man worthy of love again.

We get to see most of the rest of the MC. It appears as though the ongoing story line of someone framing the MC for something they didn't do, resolves in this book. You never know what may pop up next!

Great addition to the series. Looking forward to more, more, more!

5 "My Person Stars!

I'm doing my happy dance!!! I have been in a bad reading slump and this has hopefully pulled me out!!

I absolutely loved every single bit! I really don't know where to start with this review because this book went from a good story with two people I was already rooting for from the previous book, to a surprisingly personal and emotional trip down memory lane. It is definitely my favorite of the series so far.

I guess I will start with Slider. I am completely in love with Slider. In a general book loving gal kind of way, he is perfect in my opinion. In the beginning of this story and in the previous books, he was almost completely closed off and very emotionally damaged. The only two people he could muster any life for were his two sons. I love me an emotionally damages man. (In books! LOL!) He's a single father of two adorable little boys, dealing (not very well) with the loss of his wife to cancer. Or so everyone thinks that was the extent of the damage. Well, this was where the personal comes in. The other part of the situation with Kim, his deceased wife, he was trying to navigate. I observed the almost exact same situation happen between my own parents when I was 17. Only my father had cancer and my mother was the caregiver. I am so happy and thankful to say my father did not pass away at that time. He lived a full healthy happy 20 more years before The Big C took him away. However, because of the situation some of the early years after he was in remission were very strained between he and I. I am so happy we recovered our relationship before it was too late but in the beginning, even being so happy he was alive and well, it was hard. I told that personal story to say that, I may love Slider a little more than my normal book boyfriend love. I have the utmost respect for him because I have seen with my own eyes and felt with my own heart, the emotional tole that situation can take. The courage and strength it takes to set aside personal feelings to do what he did is significant. And it was written very well in this book.

So...

Slider was emotionally damaged, but what was hidden beneath his pain was a really funny, protective, loyal and super sexy man. He was alpha without being overbearing and he was a really great dad. All good and wonderful things! Cora had gone through and survived her own very significant trauma. She had some emotional scares as well, but she was very strong. She was so supportive and loyal to her bestie, Haven. She had a big caring heart for the people she loved, for animals, and she was very funny. Cora was the kind of girl that I'd like to be around. PLUS! She had no TSTL moments. I thought she was going to, but she reigned it in and was quite smart actually. Slider and Cora were absolutely perfect for each other. Their relationship evolved in a mature and authentic kind of way that I enjoyed reading. Sam and Ben, Slider's boys were very good characters and added a lot to the story. Loved them. (I'm a sucker for the kids.) They were pretty much the catalyst for Slider and Cora finding each other. Plus, again, I could relate to Sam.

This book can absolutely be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the series because it is so good! Very low on the wtfery MC scale. The raven Riders have a mission to help, much more than harm. They try hard to stay on the right side of the law, though it may be crossed sometimes in order to completer their mission. I personally like that because MC book can get out of my comfort zone real fast. There was some intense club action in this one. Especially toward the end of the book, but it was mostly about Slider and Cora building their relationship. I hope this is not the end of the series. So many more Raven Rider brothers need to find their HEA. I'm all in! Happy reading!

As the saying goes .... she had me at hello :) This book had me from page one. I could not get enough of this story. Was it the single parent aspect? Was it the nanny/boss aspect? Was it the children themselves? Was it the club? YES, YES, YES and all the YESs! I've loved this series from the beginning and if you've read it from the start as I have, then Cora is someone you've already met.

Cora was the biggest surprise to me. She's a beautiful person inside and out; a force to be reckoned with, if you will. But this book is her journey, so you don't just get a passing glance. She's not perfect. Far from it. But then again ... who is?! Realistic fiction, people ... THAT'S MY JAM! Cora most definitely does not come from rainbows and gumdrops but she is stronger for it. She is the woman she is today because of her past. And she is exactly the person Sam and his boys need for their future. They were kismet.

I read this story in one sitting because it was that captivating! There are twists and turns that are expected and unexpected but most of all the beautiful bond these four forged was just something that made my heart very happy. I could read about them for days on end!

Ride Wild was the third book in the Raven Riders MC series by Laura Kaye.

We met Slider and Cora in previous books. Slider was the gruff, moody, loner who was raising two young boys alone after his wife died of breast cancer two years prior. He used to be lighthearted and fun, but he was no where close to that man now. He was grieving but not everything was necessarily as it appeared.

Cora was Haven’s best friend from book one, Ride Hard. She was the snarky, humorous, care free friend to everyone. She had watched Slider’s boys once when he was in a bind and it turned into a regular gig. She was always so happy that the real Cora was hidden so far deep that even her long time best friend had no idea what she was hiding.

I loved both Slider and Cora. Granted, the Slider we met was not that likable, but it was the glimpses of what was or what could be that got me hooked. Kaye took us through the storyline development and the boys were a focal part adding boat loads of cuteness.

Additionally, Kaye continued to develop the previous characters, keeping us up to date on their growth and new adventures. Kaye also included a couple tough subjects within the secondary plots. It’s possible they may be triggers for some, surrounding both child and animal abuse. Those were tough scenes but thankfully didn’t dominate the storyline, but we warned.

Otherwise, it was emotional, yet also enjoyable with a little suspense. I desired a little more detail with the closure of one of the big conflicts, but it was entertaining none the less. It was a journey of healing, moving forward to new beginnings, love and acceptance. True to form with the series, it was also a journey of family. Ride Dirty, Caine’s story is up next.

Emotional, Sweet, Raunchy, with a bit of Suspense.

The Raven Riders series has fast; become a favorite with me. I like how the Raven Riders MC band together to help those in need, but just not those outside the brotherhood, but those inside as well. It’s an emotional heartfelt series.

Ride Wild gives us a man whose life was torn apart by his wife’s death and he’s barley keeping it together for his boys and a young women who is determined to find happiness in her life. These two have secrets that have affect them deeply, but maybe they can find what they need in each other.

I’ve waited not so patiently since book one, Ride Hard, for Cora’s story and also Slider. We’ve gained glimpse of Sam “Slider” Evans throughout the books. So when I heard that Cora and Slider where finally getting a story. I couldn’t have been more ecstatic. Ms. Kaye did not disappoint. I loved Ride Wild.

These two people where broken, afraid to need anyone, and trust so their relationship did have some mistakes along the way; especially early on when both don’t know the others past and secrets. One thing that was undeniable was their love for the boys, Sam and Ben. Even with Sider’s issues you could tell that he truly loved his boys. Cora was determined to bring joy into their lives and some joy back into Slider’s life as well. I loved these two together and felt they complemented each other well.

Great characters and a sweet and sensual love story.

Author Laura Kaye’s Raven Riders series continues in Ride Wild and the book was aptly named on several fronts. A man whose life was torn apart by his wife’s death and is barely keeping it together for his boys and a young woman who is determined to find happiness in her life find just what they need in one another. Sweet and sentimental, yet racy and raunchy, with a bit of suspense thrown in to keep it interesting Ride Wild was a very good addition to this series.

All Cora Campbell wants is a home, a family, a good job, and a dog and to be loved. Her life has been the stuff nightmares are made of; a mother who dumped her, a father who abused her, and a friend who needed her and they barely escaped with their lives. Since she and her friend Haven came under the protection of the Raven Riders MC she has felt safe for the first time in a long time and while club member “Slider” Evans may look wild, she can’t help but see a different side, the patient, kind side he shows his boys. Working for Slider has been both a curse and a blessing; she loves the boys and enjoys her time with them, but being around Slider makes her want all kinds of things she knows he doesn’t.

These were two people who were broken and were afraid to need anyone or to trust anyone so they made some mistakes along the way especially early on in this book. One thing that was undeniable was their love for Slider’s boys Sam and Ben, while Slider felt he hadn’t been a good father, it was obvious to everyone around them that he had absolutely put his boys first including hiring Cora as their babysitter. Cora proved time and time again that she was determined to bring joy into their young lives and would love nothing more to bring some joy into Slider’s life. I liked these two together, I felt they complimented each other well and through their love of the boys realized they wanted more together.

There was a bit of a suspense plot that to be honest was a bit too obvious for me, but I was thankful that the drama came from outside the relationship rather than internally so that was a win.

There are a lot of changes happening within the Raven Riders that should only make them stronger and better. Great characters, a sweet but sexy love story, and lots of time with the MC made Ride Wild a great addition to this series.

If you have read the other books in this series you already know Cora Campbell. And if you are like me you already loved her before this book. She is such a sweet, lovable, funny and very loyal character.

The Ravens helped to free Cora & her best friend Haven from a bad situation. Now her friend Haven has found love and is starting a new life. Cora is ready for it to be her turn. She has been helping out one of the members of the Raven’s by babysitting his kids and when he offers her a full time nanny position she sees this as a great beginning for her new life.

Sam “Slider” Evans lost his wife several years ago and except for his two sons doesn’t seem to be interested in anything including his membership in the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club. Now that the new nanny is in the picture the broody Slider seems to be showing a bit of interest in the pretty, fun-loving Cora.

These stories are interesting and they always keep you on the edge of your seat along with being sexy and funny!!!!

Cora came to stay with the Ravens with her best friend Haven when they took them both in to protect them from the homes they had fled from. Cora is so happy that her best friend has found love with Dare and can only dream of one day finding her own happy ever after.

Cora’s confidence has grown since she moved under the Raven’s protection and she is making plans to further her education and move into her own place some day. The life that she escaped from was the most harrowing thing a child could ever go through and she can’t believe that she is now somewhere safe with people she can trust.

‘Because when you’d become wed to a certain narrative of your life, letting go of it threatened to crumble the ground beneath your feet, leaving you with no idea where you’d be left standing when the dust settled.’

Cora is enjoying working part time by helping out Slider with his two gorgeous boys. Slider was widowed after his wife tragically died, leaving him to cope with being a single dad. It’s been two years since that awful day.

Ben and Sam love having Cora in their life but the boys want more of her time and beg their dad to ask Cora to move in with them so she can be a full time live in nanny. Cora brings a ray of sunshine and happiness into Slider’s home, not just for the boys, Slider is feeling it too, her happiness is contagious and he finds himself doing things he hasn’t considered for the last two years. The guys at the club house are noticing the changes in him too.

‘He saw that now. Saw how he’d spiralled. And saw the truth of the Raven Riders – they were his family. They’d always been his family. As surely as if they were blood.’

The more time they are in each other’s company, the more Slider and Cora begin to see each other differently, opening up and telling each other secrets of their pasts. Cora totally has the hots for Slider but she is very aware that he is her ‘boss’ and he is aware that crossing that line might not be a good idea. But you know what, life can be too damn short and when you find someone like Cora to share your life with you would would be silly not to jump in and see where it goes.

‘I see you,’ he said. ‘Always.’ Four words. And her heart felt too big for her chest.’

I loved how much Cora loved Slider’s boys, they really needed to have someone like her in their lives. Of course, this is a motorcycle club story so there was plenty of excitement and action happening around this story, including a pretty scary shoot out and some dodgy characters from the previous two books.

“But you worked your way into my heart and my head and my house and my whole life until I could see again that I had a life.”

Because asdfghjkl!! The feels I have for this book! Ohmygad bes, I was shookt! Like, from the dedication and then knowing its Slider's story? Bes, mygas! I didn't know! I didn't read the blurb. *laughs maniacally* I mean, it's Laura Kaye for crying out loud, and baby its my Raven Riders. My love for this MC is to the roof!

Cora Campbell came to stay with the Raven Riders when she was rescued together with her friend Haven during one of the operations of the club when they helped the Hard Ink men. Throughout her journey, she felt powerless and all she wanted to do was be needed and loved and make her plans happen. Ever since Ride Hard, I've been rooting for Cora to have what she wanted. I was definitely intrigued by her. Her support and love for Haven are admirable but the secrets and laughs that she has was something piqued my protective instincts.

Slider on the hand has the world on his shoulders. The only thing that kept him leaving was his two sons who are so adorable and cute!

For reals, I'm just a blubbering mess! I've been like hoping and wishing it's gonna be their story and I was just so excited that it actually is! Added the problem they are facing with Jagger's jail time and the frame up, this book was just everything!

I think one thing I didn't count on and didn't expect was the weight on Slider's shoulder. My heart just melted for the guy but the gradual changes and the way how he 'came back to the living' was so intense it made me smile like a fool.

This book is definitely a treat for Raven Riders fans and Hard Ink fans out there! Yas, because baby OMG my boys!

The mood of the book, however, is quite different from other MC books out there, as it has little angst and violence. But I love it nevertheless because it focused on love and family and the people around us whom we can lean on when we are in need. Family doesn't have to be blood.

And I thought Eileen is the cutest, but Bosco TLB is just love.

This book is just everything! *sigh* Laura Kaye, I cannot wait for more from the Riders! I can't choose whom I want next, I mean there's Jagger with me being curious of what he faced in the prison, or Phoenix or probably Caine.

My beloved Raven Riders, I love them so much.

I want to find something I've wanted all along

It really took me a bit of time to read this book. It really didn't hold my interest too much. I had little desire to go back to reading this book. It felt slow in places and I didn't really connect to Cora's character.

The ending was a bit better but this really didn't do much for me.

This series keeps getting better and better (and I already thought it was pretty fantastic)! Slider and Cora coming together was amazing. I loved the story, the kids (hello single father!), and the transformation of healing that love brings. It was sweet and sexy with just the right amount of drama, and it was filled with so much emotion. Excellent read!

Since the very first book, I've wanted to know all about Slider and Cora and I love every detail I learned as I watched these two find their way. There is a really good level of intensity between between them in the beginning that pulled me in. Slider and Cora were great characters with so much depth and I loved watching their walls come down. Cora has always been a spitfire that was full of life but she held back, so seeing her be honest and open was an emotional yet beautiful thing. Her sharing of her past made my heart hurt for her and hope for her all at the same time. I loved Slider! He's all gruff quietness so locked inside himself and watching those layers chip away as he truly starts to heal from his past was incredible. Sexy single dad with problems, oh yeah. But he was also sweet, protective, caring, and so loving. And freaking funny! I think seeing that humor and playfulness is hands down one of my favorite things. It was wonderful watching Slider come to life. I loved Slider and Cora’s connection. How they fought it but the pull was to strong. They had that crackling chemistry that I love.

I love Cora's relationship with Haven and the other women in the club and how she found her place with the Ravens. I absolutely adore her relationship with Sliders boys, they were kids that melted my heart. I love how the boys are an integral part of the story as well. I loved getting the updates in the other Ravens and getting to see their family dynamic, it's such a wonderful brotherhood.

There’s a lot of drama, a nice amount of action, and a few heart wrenching moments that had me on the edge of my seat throughout the story. I was invested the entire time! The writing was excellent, I loved the details and build. The ending was perfect. I am really hoping that Jagger, Phoenix, and Caine to get their own stories because they’re such interesting characters. I would be all over that.

Ride Wild is full of love, heart, and healing. Hands down my favorite in the series! The transformation that Cora and Slider went through was extraordinary. Slider is my new favorite! Such an wonderful story filled with so much hope. I couldn't get enough.

Book 3 in Laura Kaye’s Raven Riders series. While this book covers Slider & Cora’s relationship completely - I think it’s more enjoyable if you’ve already listened to at least book 1, Ride Rough. While this is an MC series - it’s not dark romance, there’s very little illegal activity, and the club has huge respect for women.

This is one of those books where I listened to the series a few years ago, but relisten to this one somewhat frequently. Single parent books, especially falling for the nanny and with great kid characters are my favorite. I also adore the sunshine/grumpy trope.

There’s very little relationship angst between these two. Slider is a widower and mostly dropped out of interacting with the world and specifically his brothers in the Raven Riders MC. Cora starts as a regular babysitter and transitions to a live-in nanny. That forced proximity, Cora’s positive attitude, and stirring feelings bring Slider out of his shell. These two are really great together. I also love Slider’s boys, Sam and Ben - especially how they bond with Cora.

Most of the angst comes from Cora accidentally uncovering a dog fighting ring and the Raven Riders investigating. Plus, the retaliation by the organizers. It offers a minor mystery/suspense element.

Sweet epilogue and HEA.

Narration:
I enjoyed Abby Craden’s performance. She has great voices for all the characters and a smooth delivery. Ben was adorable.

CW (spoilers):
death of a spouse, sexual assault of an MC in past - but described and she suffers PTSD, detailed descriptions of dog fighting and injuries received by the dogs

I absolutely loved this Raven Riders installment. Cora and Slider not only made the perfect romance – full of longing, fear, and finally acceptance – but they made a perfect couple. His children added a heartfelt dimension to the whole process, as well. Of course, you couldn’t have a Raven Rider novel without the bad guys, and that whole issue wove seamlessly with the sweet romance. It was one of those books that I hated to end.

This is the book I have been waiting for, the book I was hoping for, and I am ecstatic at that Laura Kaye gave me everything I wanted and more!

With Cora, it was love at first sight for me; she has an undeniable quality that just appealed to me, and I knew her story would be fantastic, because she is unforgettable; Slider was very enigmatic, and Cora paired with Slider is a literary dream come true! Never has Ms. Kaye written such multifaceted characters as Cora and Slider; they have both suffered so much, but while Cora has survived and has never let her horrendous experiences ruin her life, Sliders life is holding by a thread, or rather two threads: his two sons, Sam and Ben. I am not particularly a fan of children in romances, but in RIDE WILD, it was perfectly executed; Sam and Ben come off as normal children, even in the painful context of their short lives, and are an essential component of the story, and actually of the romance.

I was really astonished at how I became involved in the story, and how the romance develops is absolutely perfect every step of the way; it followed a logical path, it could not have progressed otherwise; it was difficult to watch at times, and I say “watch” because I “saw” them. I experienced what they felt, how they felt, and how I cheered for them! Dog fighting, dirty cops, and dude, that ending! Seldom does an author write exactly the book you wanted to read, and with RIDE WILD, Laura Kaye did just that. RIDE WILD is an extraordinary book, a romance for the ages, and Laura Kaye at her very best; this is the real deal!

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH EDELWIESS+. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

To be quite honest, I wasn't really looking forward to Slider's story, because I found him hard to connect to in previous stories. Likewise, Cora was a character that I was also unsure of when I went into starting this book. By the end of this story, though, the author really turned them around for me!

First of all, I have to say how much I loved the slow growth toward a relationship that was employed here. Both Slider and Cora had been badly hurt by love in the past, but their relationship was like a flower blooming with how slowly it progressed. Thankfully, the rest of the book was well paced so that the romance didn't drag the story down. I found I was able to easily identify with both Cora and Slider, and loved the characteristics that made them up, flaws and all.

We see more of the workings of the club in this story, and how Slider fits into them from being away for so long. I found I was fuzzy on a few points that had been covered in previous books, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story. I also liked the fact that while the Hard Ink crew had a cameo in this story, it didn't overwhelm the overall plot arcs.

For me, this is the best of the Raven Riders series to date, and I can't wait to see what is next in store for this MC crew!

Review For: Ride Wild by Laura Kaye Ride Wild by Laura Kaye is book Three in the "Raven Riders" series. This is the story of Sam “Slider” Evans and Cora Campbell. This is the first book I have read in this series, so for me this was a standalone book. Cora had a non caring father we learn along with a best friend who had the opposite type of father. Haven's father was all controlling and Cora had to help her friend get away. When the Raven Riders ended up saving them from kidnappers Cora decided to stay with the gang until she figured out what to do next. This leads her to help Sam who lost his wife about two years ago take care of his boys, Ben and Sam by baby sitting them. Ben and Sam are crazy about Cora who has brought life back to their house. By Sam is fighting the attraction to her and tries to just think of her as the 'babysitter'. But its getting harder and harder to do so. Cora knows that the harsh man that he shows her isn't who he really is just by watching him interact with his kids. When Sam has to step up to protect Cora fighting their feelings are close to impossible. Loved watching Cora and Sam come together! https://twitter.com/soapsrus68 https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookR... https://romancebookreviewforyou.wordp... https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebo...

There are some authors that you just love their writing. For me Laura Kaye is one of them. I'm not a fan of the motorcycle themed romance and yet here I am reviewing Ride Wild.

Why?

Because as a author she makes you want to know the people she writes about more. So when you meet them in one series, you have to carry on with them in theirs. So far I've been really enjoying this series. The characters are a mix a tough, funny and suffer from the same emotions as us.

You will see that very clearly in Ride Wild. Sam aka Slider, is a mess emotionally after his wife dies. Yes because he's a man he doesn't outright show it but us as readers still see it. For me it made him very human. All of us, no matter who we are grieve.

Now Cora, she cracks me up. I've liked her since the series started and I'm glad to see these two finally come together.

For me I've been waiting for what seems like forever for Sam's story. I have a thing for single fathers. They are just so...yeah you get it. Becasue I couldn't wait for Sam's story I was a little worried on how it would turn out.

I shouldn't have been!

Sam's story turned out just like I would want it to. Well maybe I would have changed one little thing about it...I would have added me as the heroine, a girl can dream can't she? Not only did I like Sam, I enjoy his little boys too! So sweet. Since this is a work of fictions I'll let Cora have them.

Kaye does a wonderful job weaving together a love story that celebrates what was and what can be. She also adds some suspense that will keep you turning the pages. Ride Wild is all around a great story that's perfect for the Raven Riders series.

Slider and Cora had rough pasts to overcome and that made their romance all the more sweeter! I loved Slider’s boys, Ben and Sam, and their adorable charm and humor. And the unquestionable love and support the Raven’s freely gave..awesome and admirable. The dog fighting was difficult to stomach because it boggles my mind that people are that depraved, so I was thankful the details weren’t terribly horrid, but just enough to get the point across. Overall, everyone gets some part of a rainbow after weathering difficult storms and I couldn’t have asked for better endings!

4 unexpected stars

I've had the chance to read all of the previous books in this series by Laura Kaye and i have to say that Ride Wild is my favourite so far. After having had met Cora in the first book, i really hoped i'd get her story because she had always been a mystery to me and yet there was something about her that called out to me. Add Same, who's gone through such loss, is the kind of man that we all wish we could fix him being able to rely on him.

4 breath taking dreams

This story was both an inspiration and heartbreaking. Who knew that Sam and Cora were as broken as they were but still able to bring out the best in one another while able to protect their loved ones no matter what the consequences. It was a gripping story that made me want to read the series from the beginning and for sure i can't wait to find out what's to happen next!

Sam "Slider" Evans has been living a half life since the death of his wife. He has pulled away from his brothers in the Raven Riders and is focused on raising his two young sons. He is moody, intimidating, quiet, and appears void of emotions.

He needs help with the boys, so Cora Campbell has been babysitting for him. She was rescued by the Raven Riders along with her best friend, Haven, who is now in a relationship with the club president. Cora is honest, sarcastic, caring, but has had her own painful past that she was running from. Now she is lost and not sure what direction her life will take.

As the boys and Slider begin to grow closer to Cora, their home starts to come back to life. Soon Slider and Cora are finding themselves a bit fascinated and attracted to the other. But their circumstances should prohibit them being together. But it is hard to resist.

I really felt for Slider because there was more going on with his past and story than just his wife's death. He had trust and abandonment issues that also made him keep people at arm's length. And Cora was holding onto her own secrets that were hurting her. These two were both broken in their own ways, but somehow could really see the other and fill some of the void. But they both have issues to deal with on their own and together, and his boys' happiness had to be their priority. The boys were adorable and I loved their interactions with Cora and Slider. I enjoyed getting to see more of the real, tender, happier Slider come out. I liked seeing Slider and Cora begin to relate on a more personal level and begin to feel. They fit in an unexpected way.

This is a slow burn, emotional, second-chance romance between two damaged people who never expected to find a connection. As with any Raven Riders novel there is some outside drama, danger, and suspense in the background. It is told in dual points of view that was really important since they did not communicate well all the time and Slider was pretty quiet at first. They have a twelve year age difference, but Cora did not seem immature. Due to their life experiences she and her friend, Haven, are wise beyond their years and can relate to these men that are a bit older. Slider and Cora had very similar needs in that they needed to be truly seen, wanted, claimed, to belong, and have a sense of contentment that their lives were lacking. Things that they wanted, but never truly had consistently such as trust, safety, protection, care, acceptance, support, and love.

This brings the Raven Riders and their significant others back: Dare and Haven, Maverick and Alexa, Phoenix, Bunny, Caine, Jagger, and Doc. We get to see some of their stories progress. I enjoy the camaraderie and bond that this group has formed and how they take care of each other and try to help those that need them. They are a true MC family. And I was happy to see a fun cameo too. I am looking forward to more in this series and hoping for books for Jagger, Phoenix, and Caine.
