Incident of Magic is a wonderfully crafted sequel to An evidence of Magic. This book centers around Tony and Leo and continues the story arc started in the first book with the mystery thickening and becoming more intriguing.

Tony and Leo at the beginning is at logger heads with each other. But over the course of the book they find a truce and find that they have an amazing connection. I liked that the authors gave both Tony and Leo's characters many dimensions and it's unraveled as the
So I didn't read the first book going into this - but it made me want to. It had one chapter focusing on Hiro and Sable and it pulled me into their story - and I think just having more backstory would be good - although this book didn't make it too difficult to figure out the premise and way the world(s) work for someone who hadn't read the first book. The only thing I'm still confused about is why our earth is called "Everlight" and the world Silk and Sable are from is called "Ellysium" which I ...more
This is such an interesting world, filled with alternate dimensions, magic, and of course, plenty of crime. Looking forward to seeing where things go, Hiro learning magic, and bringing down the baddies.

An Incident of Magic is book two in Kris Michaels & Patricia A. Knight’s Everlight series. The focal point in this book is Tony and Silk. Though we see Sable and Hiro a lot and even get their POV a bit it’s mainly Tony and Silk’s show.

Silk is from Elysium and when I say he is beautiful inside and out I really mean that. He’s selfless beyond words and brave and a million other things. When the book starts off he and his partner Tony aren’t getting along. At all! To the point they both want t

Incident of Magic is the second book in the Everlight series. In this one, we start with Locke and Silk, a detective from Everlight, and a monk from Elysium, who are not getting on, to say the least. These two are coming at the same problem from opposite ends of the spectrum, and not communicating with each other. Hacinka and Kavaliro are sure they will work together, and put them in a situation where they HAVE to succeed or die. Locke does get injured, because he doesn't trust Silk, and it is d ...more

Definitely not as strong as the first book. I never really cared too much about either character.

The saga continues and brings with it everything you could want in this genre, which is in a class all it’s own! This is book 2 in the Everlight Series and it introduces Tony and Leo (Silk as he is better known), to join the Interdimensional Task Force in their fight against crime in the parallel realities of Everlight and Elysium. If you enjoy sci-fi, paranormal, fantasy, crime, suspense, and M/M then this series if definitely for you. I absolutely love the writing of both Kris Michaels and Pat ...more

A good deal less great than the first instalment, in my opinion mostly due to the spotty scenes happening on Elysium (those parts are always a sheer delight to read; the more of them we get, the better !), the more sedate stamp of the investigation, and the excessive stress laid on the almost comedic element in the bickering of the protagonists. Though they are written with the same effortless poise and meticulous care as Hiro and Sable, Tony and Leo do not reach quite the sky either as paranorm ...more

This was nearly, but not quite, as good as Evidence of Magic. While Leo/Silk and Tony had to work a little harder for their enemies-to-lovers relationship, there was less of the investigative aspects and far less of Elysium. The duo clash repeatedly in the beginning by not communicating. This problem remains even after they become lovers. Tony is very chatty while Silk is a man of few words. Tony seems to have to drag info out of Silk. I think this has a lot to do with Silk's time with the Broth ...more

I won a $10 gift card from the author so of course, I would use it to purchase her books. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the world she created and the men in it. Love Silk and his innocence. His honor bound traits held intact for the love of his brother made me love him even more. I started this series on book 2 but I will go back for book 1. If ya love a good story with magic, hot males and 'LoL' liners then you can't go wrong with this series. I'm a fan now.

Great 2nd installment of the Everlight Series. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but I definitely feel it'd be very beneficial to have read the first. Awesome characters, once again, yet with a very different feel. Overall story Arc remained intriguing and really upped the ante. I will definitely continue to read this series.

The authors are so bad!! I can't wait book 3. I love it as much as the first one. Tony is so hard-headed and so vulnerable at the same time. M/M romance at its best.

This is the second book I've read in the series and the series just keeps getting better. Tony Locke had a rough start to life, sold at the age of 12 to support his mother's drug habit then to living on the streets he just can't catch a break. That is until a police officer rescued him and took him in. He followed in his "father's" footsteps and became a detective in the Everlight Police Department. His main focus is working on the drugs and sex trafficking task force. When an opportun

This is the second book in the series but is a complete story, no cliffhangers. Enjoyed the writing, characters and story. Looking forward to another book in the series.

Oh...My...Gosh. The plot has really thickened in this addition to the Everlight series. Yes, the basic story of this book is the relationship between Tony and Leo (Silk) but the on going plot dealing with the magical drugs and human trafficking across several realities is really engrossing. The characters are amazing and each has his/her place in the grand scheme. As with the first book in the series (An Evidence of Magic), this book read more of a crime drama with very little magic (except for ...more

I had high hopes for this book because I absolutely loved the first one. Tony and Leo didn't disappoint... for the most part. They were like oil and water at first but they managed to smooth it out, though I didn't feel the outstanding chemistry Hiro and Sable had in Evidence of Magic.

I was a little annoyed every time the story pulled away from Tony and Leo to follow other characters; it made it feel like the book wasn't really theirs.

Lastly: the epilogue! Oh my God, I hope Ami gets more page ti

Well done

This series is getting better and better. I love action and a good plot and this book had both. The chemistry between the two MC's was excellent. Can't wait for the next book.
