The Shadow is the part of us made up of all that we hide from others: our shame, our fears and our wounds, but also our divine spirit, our blinding beauty and our hidden talents. The Shadow is not bad in fact it is the source of our creativity and power but until we bring it into the light this power will remain untapped and our full potential unreached.

Enlightening, invigorating, exceptional

If youre not familiar with Charlie Morleys work, this is as good a place to start as any: its clear, full of compassion, and if everyone in the English speaking world were to follow the instructions in this book, wed live in an entirely different world. So we start with ourselves. Read it. Do it. Pass it on.

Shelves: spiritual
I love Charlie's sense of humour and really enjoy his dream appendices. He reminds me very much of a Buddhist teacher I learned from years ago.
I wish this had been a lucid dreaming book or even a book on dreams, but it's not!
It's a compilation of information about the shadow, a concept that has been studied and written about for aeons by masters whom he references such as Robert A Johnson and Carl Jung.
I love most of the works that Charlie mentions in this book, I just didn't love this book.

Morley recommends working through various exercises where you'll be asked The Big Questions in order to recognise and essentially befriend the 'shadow' side of your personality. Despite

When I read Charlie Morley's books, I can hear his voice in my ear. The compassion and vulnerability that he demonstrates, are essential to working with your shadows and dreams.
