Three different couples are featured in this set. The men are strong in spite of their faults, and the women are independent but have faced challenges that make them reluctant to take a chance on love. The second was the best of the three. The final book is in desperate need of an editor to correct the many errors in spelling and word usage that are distracting.
I had read one book of the series prior to purchasing box set. I enjoyed the first 2 stories, but the third was really hard to get thru with the constant typos and wrong tenses of words being used. I'm no literary genius by any means but the mistakes I kept encountering made the story real choppy to read
Suite 21 I'll admit, it took a lot for me to like Dexter. I have personal experience that says arrogant jerks don't make good romantic heroes, but the second half of the book made me believe. I really loved that we got to see him making the changes necessary, that she made him work for his happy ending. I've read too many books where in the last 3 chapters the hero has an epiphany and he goes from prime jackass to Prince Charming. I'm so glad that about half of this book is about the changes that Dexter and Sasha have to make in order to be together. I'm now hooked on The Grange and I can't wait to read more about the residents. Suite 13 TBR Suite 31 I'm a sucker for a wounded warrior. I was already half in love with Harry when we me him in Sascha and Dexter's story and learning more about his past and what's made him who he is has just cemented that feeling. Gina was my other favorite secondary character from that same book so I love that they're paired together here. She's so strong with such a forceful personality, I can easily see why she makes such a good partner for Harry. He's so used to doing what he pleases and getting everything he desires, it's a lot of fun to watch him get told "no" for a change. I really appreciate that both main characters have their flaws. It may not be very realistic that they're also aware of what those flaws are, I loved seeing them work to overcome their hang-ups. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
I never got past the first few chapters before I quit. So, my review of this set may not be very accurate. I stopped at several other spots to test the stories for better writing, but still wasn't too impressed. So I stopped. The story was obviously written by an British/Scottish writer (the knickers were a dead giveaway) and the use of pills and weed was prevalent. Overall, I wasn't impressed but that was just one reader's review. So, you may want to give it a try. It's your choice and your money.
I loved these. What a lot to handle. The males and females both have so much baggage to start with. And with all the twists and turns they go through a lot to heal. I really recommend this. It has a mental illness in it that is embedded in the story. A learning experience. I was given a review copy and I voluntarily review it.
I really enjoyed reading this box set. I have really liked all three stories and characters. And all are hot, steamy and sexy readings. I highly recommend this box set.
Thanks Josie for giving me the opportunity to read this boxed set.
I avidly read this series. I loved it until the final book which seems rushed and completely unedited. I had an extremely hard time enjoying because of all the grammatical and spelling errors. I was also dissatisfied with the ending on the final book compared to the others. I felt like I was left hanging. I still rated it 4 stars because the other 3 books were excellent.
